February 16, 2012 at 4:05 pm
Wow. Is this the dude that kidnapped Luke Skywalker? Just kidding. That is one awesome piece of outer-wear and good on him for making bold statement!
February 16, 2012 at 4:15 pm
I’m glad there’s people out there in the world who dress like this – makes my day that much more cheerful. I love it – not because it is fashionable at all, but because it is outrageous and entertaining.
February 16, 2012 at 4:17 pm
He takes a very bold look. Whether you need to look carefully for his glasses and boots. Good picture!…
February 16, 2012 at 4:19 pm
Yeti in the big city )))
February 16, 2012 at 4:22 pm
Love the fur overall!!!
February 16, 2012 at 4:25 pm
Coolest photo ever
February 16, 2012 at 4:27 pm
Love the contrast between the environment and the clean and white outfit…. it seems that someone transfered directly the person from some other situation far away in a couple of second to this environment that is completely different…In a certain way it tells a story…of beeing and not beeing integrated in the environment.
February 16, 2012 at 4:28 pm
Wow, what segment of Fashion week was this in? I’ll pass
February 16, 2012 at 4:29 pm
amazing picture!!!! I love it!!
February 16, 2012 at 4:32 pm
I appreciate the audacity, but I do not enjoy the overall concept.
Though, I imagine he is quite cozier in his polar bear fur than myself bearing the American Apparel opaque tight collection.
With that, I say, “Four for you Glenn Coco. You go Glen Coco.”
February 16, 2012 at 4:33 pm

Una imagen donde veo la soledad de la moda en sí, unida a los pensamientos de la persona que te mira o miramos esperando una reacción distinta, para poder salir de la monotonía, una imagen y una mirada muy profunda, saludos ana.
February 16, 2012 at 4:41 pm
I saw this man leaving the Jeremy Scott show and didn’t take his picture because his ensemble is a bit outrageous…BUT you somehow manage to make it look AMAZING! I love this picture!
Check out my New York Fashion Week updates on my blog!!

Hysterical is an understatement…
I guess Bryan’s the only one who can get away with it, though.

Whoa. This is quite the look! I love the setting of this photo. It really allows me to take in the look. This guy’s got some serious style! Look at those glasses. I love it.

A fierce juxtaposition!
February 16, 2012 at 5:25 pm
Oh what a horrible day of medical tests I have had, and yet I popped this picture onto my laptop and felt overwhelmingly optimistic and hopeful about all the ways to be happy as a human.

February 16, 2012 at 7:44 pm
Yeti? Big Foot? Or the Abominable Snowman from that Christmas cartoon -was it Rudolph?
February 16, 2012 at 7:55 pm
This works perfectly as black and white! Stands out a lot more than it would in colour I’d say! Great find and shot.
February 16, 2012 at 9:30 pm
absurdity =/= instant fashion cred
une chatte grise
February 16, 2012 at 10:10 pm
Funky, funky but–what chic!
February 16, 2012 at 10:18 pm
this guy looks so dumb, i appreciate audacity in fashion but when all sense of function and reason is lost, it looks like the only thing the wearer thinks about is what their wearing. which is likely true here. if you saw an old man in cleveland wearing this, you wouldn’t say “i appreciate how he is defying social norms and being audacious.” you’d think he was looney.
February 16, 2012 at 10:41 pm
NYC has still got it after all
Just a hop, skip and a jump from the Astor Place Barber Shop for a little trim. NO.
February 16, 2012 at 11:06 pm
Not a big fan.
February 17, 2012 at 2:57 am
Is that an outfit or something you could name fun ;)?!

Don’t know about the fashion quotient, but how awesome must it be to hug him! :D
February 17, 2012 at 4:48 am
Narional Geographic called, seems you breached on their exclusive first picture of the Yeti…
February 17, 2012 at 5:36 am
I admire his chutzpah, but this look is a little too Zoolander for me..
February 17, 2012 at 6:39 am
Is he wearing Chanel? Joe Zee worn the “Chanel polar bear outfit” 2 years ago… LOL
February 17, 2012 at 7:21 am
funny picture!love this picture because is black and white.i think there are many people who weare strange things during fashion week just to be photographed and i think he is one of these.http://msfashionstreet.blogspot.com/
February 17, 2012 at 8:15 am
I love your photos. I live in a small town in New Brunswick Canada and never get to see people like this IRL. Certainly an attention grabber and very silly looking at it from here.
February 17, 2012 at 8:27 am
I am not a fan of his outfit – but I’m a massive fan of the photo! Love the outfit against the backdrop and the black and white!
February 17, 2012 at 9:20 am
blinding white to brighten our days! wow! makes me happy to see this, Thanks!
February 17, 2012 at 9:26 am
That’s the artist Terence Koh. He wears only white all the time I read somewhere. Awesome.
February 17, 2012 at 9:54 am
Well, to each his own….
February 17, 2012 at 10:14 am

Super Interns Julie
February 17, 2012 at 2:49 pm
Where is the head to his polar bear suit? It’s completely outrageous and yet, I love seeing these kinds of expression…it makes my day!
February 17, 2012 at 3:15 pm
Was this guy in “The Selby is in Your Place”???
February 17, 2012 at 4:06 pm

Clearly just on break from the mechanic shop
February 17, 2012 at 6:38 pm
Oh, yes, I knew it was Koh. Well, the outfit is the performance in this case.
February 17, 2012 at 7:53 pm
It never occurred to me that that coat could be real fur–it’s so OTT. If it is real, I take back my comment about the look’s being chic!!
February 18, 2012 at 1:40 am
I wish we had such people walking the streets in Moscow
February 18, 2012 at 1:11 pm
DOES HE DRINK OR EAT ANYTHING WEARING THIS!!!!!!!!!
February 18, 2012 at 3:29 pm
Benny and the Jets! I thought this outfit was just a myth.
February 18, 2012 at 8:30 pm
Very special, very brave. I wish there was more of this on the streets.
February 18, 2012 at 8:54 pm
There’s a modesty in his demeanor that really juxtaposes his fashion sense. Really makes makes this photo and the individual exceptional
February 19, 2012 at 5:42 am
These comments are all killing me! I guess this shows what a bubble of culture the New York fashion community really is. I forget that (obviously) most people would not know who Terence Koh is, and even further would not realize that this is more or less his daily uniform; a look that has melded with his persona, somewhere in between personal style and performance.
February 19, 2012 at 5:43 am
I want to hug him and kuddle with him, his furry coat looks so comfortable and soft!
February 19, 2012 at 9:22 am
mystery solved. nothing killed, just cuddly fun. way to go terence koh : )
February 19, 2012 at 9:49 am
Ouaw! Impressive! :D At least he won’t get cold!

He looks like the abominable snowman.
February 19, 2012 at 12:33 pm
I saw Terence Koh dressed in this outfit as he was walking around Chelsea outside of the David Zwirner gallery on Friday. He’s just one of those people that turns heads wherever he goes.
February 19, 2012 at 4:36 pm
@ matthew j–thanks for the info! Applause to Koh for being fabulous without hurting critters.
February 20, 2012 at 1:15 am
Terrance Koh is a true Artist and he expresses his vision in ever facet of his life. I don’t think the idea ever even crossed his mind that this might be considered silly. He’s truly just being himself. And although this is one of his more over the top get ups, I’ve never seen him in anything that wasn’t completely unique and his own.

February 20, 2012 at 8:01 am
a joke. what happens when clothes are taken to an extreme, beyond even the vagaries of “fashion” and trendiness- too much “look at me, look at me”. imagine him wearing uniqlo clothes- he would be unrecognizable to more than 99 percent of the population at large.
February 20, 2012 at 12:49 pm
he was also wearing this to the bjork show on saturday night. i guess it’s the outfit of the week.
February 21, 2012 at 10:18 pm
I love him.
February 22, 2012 at 11:04 am
That takes guts!
February 23, 2012 at 6:20 pm
Terence Koh!:) I love him.
February 27, 2012 at 10:21 pm
emm…yeti in the big city!…so niche / focal point…yap, make a bold statement..
March 7, 2012 at 12:21 am
Last time I saw this guy he was crawling around a mountain of salt.
Only in Chelsea I suppose.
March 14, 2012 at 5:44 am
A cool headless polar bear or an imitation of the Yeti-like monster in the cave, see Star Wars 5 / The Empire Strikes Back..? Anyway I really admire his courage :)
March 20, 2012 at 8:06 pm
Genial la foto, pero escapa a la realidad de la vida misma…

June 10, 2012 at 11:11 am
Eeek! Not all three pieces together – pick ONE please!
Coat – big and scary
Pants – big and scary
Boots – big and… well, you know the drill.
Any one of the items with something else “normal” might have been interesting. This– just screams “I need attention; someone please love me.”
