I just saw this amazing looking woman on another fashion site, and she looks impeccable. I love all the contrast – the look is so top heavy, and then these tiny heels on the bottom. Love the military, sombre look with playful, colourful shoes. And overall, it’s just nice to see a clean, dignified look, when there’s a whole lot of grunginess around. ;)
bare legs and sandals! one wonders what’s wrong with winter clothes and shoes… at least that’s what i would do if i were a designer.
(the alterative would be wondering what’s wrong with certain women, pretending it’s summer in midwinter. well, it’s a fact that women can be vain to the point of cruelty, even to themselves.)
and apparently when you’re young you have more grey fat in your body, which keeps you from feeling cold. as you get older the grey fat changes and you (feel the need to) dress warmer.
must admit that i never considered wearing sandals in february, not even in my teens. not enough grey fat, i guess.
The one detail that stands alone is her exaggerated low parting on her short haircut. It does add a strong but subtle detail to the over all style, and is magnificent to look at.
What a stunning woman. Beautiful clothes that fit perfectly. I love the proportions, the colors and the shock of green shoes. I don’t understand, though, how anyone could go open-toed in winter! Gadzooks! My hat is off to her, but I feel cold on her behalf!
I love the coat with the fur trim and the pop of green in the strappy heels! This outfit has such a unique blend of different styles that somehow work well together – she can definitely pull it off.
I love the colors and spareness of this photo – the tiny bits of green and red in the stoplights echoing the green sandal and reddish-brown handbag colors. Very nice – and of course the nice mix of the more boyish jeans jacket mixed with the very ladylike fur collar coat.
I love the entire look from head to toe. The green strappy heels are a great addition to the overall dark monotone ensemble. She has a very powerful presence that is nicely reflected in this photo.
she looks great. the footwear is a little confusing for a walking city like new york especially in the middle of cold-february. all that said, she is making it work!
(i mean, a bootie, a boot? something, it’s cold outside!)
First my focus goes down to the shoes (what a color – particularly beautiful against her skin tone) but then I see the whole outfit which is just so effortless and confident. Very cool shot.
Well, I do wear sandals with wooly tights but maybe that’s a bit rough and ready for NYC. (I mean black suede ‘winter’ sandals not clumpy great country things!) It’s still cold though unless you have a driver and maybe she has as she looks so elegant.
Love the look, but honestly, it’s freezing today. I have no idea how she is handling the cold in those shoes…but then again, my mother always said “Who said that fashion would be comfortable?”
As someone currently freezing her butt off in Boston, I want to dislike this because it only supports dressing for fashion, not weather, and it makes my winter boots look bulky and ugly (if warm)…but
Freezing temperatures aside…. The sandals are pretty, but I think the outfit looks out of proportion. It’s just my opinion of course, but the sandals seem too dainty for the heaviness of the clothing. I do love the components of the outfit, but I think different footwear would have looked beautiful.
I love her attitude from head to toe. She must be freezing, but there’s a phrase that rhymes in spanish that says “fashion is not about being comfy” (la moda, incomoda).
Greetings from Santiago, Chile.
Digging it all EXCEPT the shoes…she needs some warm boots or some sort of encapsulating shoe to make this look believable. You cannot tell me that this woman does not have feet that do not get cold…they all do.
Very classy, and the jean jacket is so unexpected. She looks like she is ready to take on the world. Love the pop of color in the shoes and sunglasses.
