It’s really nice shot. Like the combination of brown and jeans. Love the red handbag too. She look chic.

I love everything about this photo: the light, how she carries herself, the smart way she wears casual clothing, her minimalist make-up, and the juxtaposition of the hat and the bags. Thanks for bringing some beauty to the day!
February 1, 2012 at 9:23 am
Could she be a superchic version of Dita Von Teese?
Great color palette.
I like all, the coat, the shoes, and the girl is beautiful.
February 1, 2012 at 9:25 am
Really cool casual look. The red lipstick works so well

A dash of the nautical in the cityscape. Simply beautiful. x
February 1, 2012 at 9:28 am
Great shot and beautiful colors. Love the simplicity of this outfit – all basic, classic elements: camel coat, striped shirt, jeans, fedora, combined with stylish red accents on the lips, nails and the bag.
February 1, 2012 at 9:35 am
Love this, especially the cute coat with its shorter sleeve length. This is a perfect transitional late winter/early spring outfit.
montes Y mills
so clean and polished.
I love her red lips. This is exactly how I would like to dress.

I have not commented for a while (not to perceive as lack of good photos!). However, now I have the need to do so!
I like the mix of neat elegance and bohemian sloppiness in the woman’s appearance. I love the color palettes. I feel all warm and fuzzy looking at this picture, even the red lips (If I could, I would only make the fingernails.. emerald green).
All the elements of the woman’s personal style are so close to my own. I will surely come back to this photo for a reminder in a few months’ time (-20 degrees Celsius in Northern Europe right about now. Not so funk soul brother, but very nice other ways. Lost of woollen garments!).
Thanks for the vivid picture.
February 1, 2012 at 9:42 am
Oh well! This is definitely a great outfit!
She’s very beautiful and reminds me about Dita Von Teese and Megan Fox…isn’t she?!
This picture is so beautiful and expiring.
I am focused on this HAT !!
February 1, 2012 at 9:48 am
She looks gorgeous! I am loving that hat + trench look!
February 1, 2012 at 9:49 am
Love it ! That hair. That lip color. That coat. That striped top. Those jeans. That hat. That bag. Those shoes. Last but not least, that aura… Ahh.. Love it !
Love that look!
February 1, 2012 at 9:52 am
The stripes, the hair, the jeans, perfection. Classic beauty.

How classic and elegant, love it! And i love her coat!!
February 1, 2012 at 9:54 am
Love the colours.
February 1, 2012 at 9:56 am
Gotta love classics, especially when put together so perfectly. The mariniere top with the epaulette’d peacoat, black pumps and red bag works beautifully!

The light on this is amazing. So is her coat. And her face. And the photo in general…I’m articulate today, clearly.

One of my fav corners in NYC!
February 1, 2012 at 10:18 am
I love the asymmetry with that single top button. And that hat…very classic.
February 1, 2012 at 10:25 am
Scott, this is lovely image. Wonderful composition!
February 1, 2012 at 10:28 am
A perfect style for every day! And I love the lenght of the sleeves of her coat!
February 1, 2012 at 10:29 am
Just like a real “Parisienne”, as described in the book of Ines de la Fressange.
February 1, 2012 at 10:31 am
What an interesting coat! Love the boyish charm of her look.
February 1, 2012 at 10:33 am
February 1, 2012 at 10:37 am
everything but the shoes ..
February 1, 2012 at 10:38 am
It’s the lack of buttons on the coat that make this outfit for me. Four buttons on the coat instead of the traditional six give it a cleaner look, and the cropped sleeves make it especially chic.
February 1, 2012 at 10:39 am
Love her bag and hat!
February 1, 2012 at 10:44 am
First thing I noticed was the wonderful combo of stripe shirt and coat with shorter sleeves – perfect segue from winter into spring. Then, on a further look I fell in love with that hat!!!
February 1, 2012 at 10:45 am
Is that the girl from Kansas you photographed in Paris? She has the same look.. Very nice photo.
February 1, 2012 at 10:50 am
wow what luck to find a girl with so much style! the maskuline jacket, the chanel style shirt, this amazing hat and the this shoes that are very much in fashion now. She mixes this all so perfectly and with the black hair and red lips it can hardly be done more perfectly!
February 1, 2012 at 10:53 am
love the photo!

Love this look – the coat, the hat, and the lip colour!
February 1, 2012 at 11:42 am
This looks like the Parisian/Kansan woman from Paris the other day… same wash on the jeans, same striped sweater?
February 1, 2012 at 11:43 am
I love the entire look. The way the coat sleeve is higher than expected, the way her purse adds a hint of color in a sea of neutrals, the entire look/feel of her attire is casual yet there is a sense of boyish femininity to it. I hope that makes sense…
February 1, 2012 at 11:44 am
Oops, no stripes, but the resemblance is uncanny
February 1, 2012 at 11:56 am
Made possible by New York’s unseasonably warm winter.
February 1, 2012 at 12:03 pm
I love the look: some english inspiration, classic and retro. It mix very well with the backround of the photo.

WOW! Thats very inspiring. She is a 1940′s pin up girl in a cool laid back preppy outfit…. and it works beyond well!!!! I could really go for copying that. Love the fit of the jeans and coat.
February 1, 2012 at 1:18 pm
Funny, everyone’s commenting on her outfit and I’m looking at the smooth out-of-focus background produced by your full-frame sensor digital SLR and probably a 50/1.2 lens… :)
February 1, 2012 at 1:22 pm
I absolutelly love this look. That bag is amazing!!!

February 1, 2012 at 1:24 pm
Aha! So _that’s_ the reason 3/4-length-sleeve coats exist. I’d been wondering. (Also, do the tabloids know that Dita Von Teese, Eva Green, and Shalom Harlow seem to have combined genes & morphed into one stunning woman?)
February 1, 2012 at 1:31 pm
There are so many different items of interest for me in this photo (the planes of light vs. dark, the clothes & accessories, the almost-smirk on her face), but let’s just leave it at GREAT picture.

Like Kit said, that’s the chic Kansan young lady in Paris from last week. Her fine fashion sense travels well.
This photo is chuck full of information. What grabs me is the man in the overcoat: a brooding New York walk, which matches my mood today. But une chatte grise’s comment brightened things up for me considerably.
Lovely contrast between the coat and the background.
February 1, 2012 at 4:00 pm
And once again amazingly captured picture!
Beautifully dark hair and red lips… such a Snow White!
February 1, 2012 at 4:13 pm
WOW. This is such an interesting photo. I could watch it for hours

Oops ! She’s missing a button. I love the way the coats sleeves arent long enough too, with her bretons peeking out. V. Classic.
February 1, 2012 at 4:36 pm
That’s such a beautiful picture. I love that she’s so french-looking.
February 1, 2012 at 4:46 pm

Very simple yet meaningful. It gives me peace in mind while staring at this beautiful woman.
February 1, 2012 at 6:17 pm
Can I be her ?!?
February 1, 2012 at 9:00 pm
I love everything about this but especially the fit and wash of the jeans. I once followed a girl out of the subway for 4 blocks because she had the best jeans on. They were just like these: not too tight, not too loose, nicely worn in, right at the ankle. I’ll probably live the rest of my life and never find jeans like these. I don’t know why I didn’t ask her where she got them.
CHIC A LA' RUSSE

I love how lit-up this image is, and no doubt her timeless style and flirty gaze are adding to it…….
February 2, 2012 at 12:06 am
I love how her red lips pop! And that coat is gorgeous. Oh, and the forties bob is just perfect.
February 2, 2012 at 12:22 am
Perfect. That’s the only way I can describe her, wow!

Love the tonality of the photo. The woman has such class, elegance and mystery. The man walking away from her adds intrigue to this shot as well . . .
February 2, 2012 at 7:50 am
great pic. she looks so chic
February 2, 2012 at 8:22 am
love the red handbag
February 2, 2012 at 8:54 am
Love this! So elegant!
funny how people are labelled “parisian” just because they are wearing a striped sweater and some red lipstick. That said – lohe the photo! An instant fahourite
February 2, 2012 at 9:15 am
I love the shot, looks so 50′s. She’s so beautiful and classy.
February 2, 2012 at 10:06 am
the BP logo in the background is hurting my eyes. But she is just gorgeous and her outfit is adorable! Very expressive.

What a lovely camel coat. I’m in the market for one right now, but haven’t found just the right one yet. This one is gorgeous. The perfect balance between masculine and feminine.
February 4, 2012 at 11:32 am
omg!! i saw the same gal and thought wow! that is a great mix of casual elegance.
wished i saw you taking this picture… that would have been amazing.
February 4, 2012 at 7:31 pm
The coat is simply as tastful as it looks and I think I speak for all when I say that she completes her OWN style by wearing the shoes instead of pumps like the rest of New York and the hat if she wants to . Undoubtably her own and I love it
