I agree with the person above, it’s so effortless. But the simplicity is always welcome. It doesn’t look like a typical summer look, but give the woman a break, it’s been chilly, cloudy and rainy in many places in Europe. I’ve just came back from Copenhagen and i saw so many girls wearing long dark coats, boots and scarfs, for God’s sake. Summer?!?
This is my former headmistress and Dita Von Teese rolled up into one person. Great that she can wear all black and look so conservative with a subtle underlying sexiness! Brava!
for sure the hair makes this an outfit, a look. it confirms that she has style and is not just wearing comfy cotton separates with pretty shoes. this means she is really bringing something of herself to it, is so much more than a mannequin.
simply olive, you have got to be kidding… i’ve been perusing this blog like an addict this past weekend; and, i have to say that this woman is the definition of sartorial. she hit mark with class, style, fit, attitude, feminine, ageless, and sexy all at the same time. i can’t be believe you would be negative about her look. bravo to the sartorialist for finding her and sharing her.
Her hair makes me think of 1930s style — Stefania Sandrelli in the movie “The Conformist.” And yet she carries it off in a completely uncontrived way. Lovely.
The only thing that I can see on this pic is this face made by her hair that want to be shot, its like a black face shouting, shes got two faces in one its really a dramatic picture

Her outfit is so effortless. I also love how she can totally pull off the all-black-in-the-middle-of-summer look.

She’s divine, effortless. If your haircut pulls your look together, isn’t that the definition of style?

The shoes are perfect! While the rest of her outfit is demure, the shoes give off a come hither vibe.
