Don’t know ’bout the shoes but I like that she looks so décontractée. It’s like she’s off to buy something for dinner at the farmer’s market down the street.
To me, this ensemble encapulates the volume trend by using simultaneously a thick-heeled pump, a full dress, and a long, oversized cardigan. The pattern on the dress is eye catching without being loud.
That being said, what really makes this a great look right now is – surprise! – the woman herself. Her smile and her hair are really lovely.
she looks adorable! and i am still in awe of how you always manage to tie in the background with the person. apparently i need to start walking around buildings that coordinate with my outfit!
This looks so fresh style-wise–the entire outfit. I love the combo of modernist dress with grandpa sweater. And love love love the metallic platforms. Who wouldn’t want to wear these clothes? (She looks pretty happy to be in them!)
Marni is well known for its comfortable but yet chic and wearable clothes. This is a perfect example of it. Nothing is overly tight or restricting. The colors and cut are excellent and very contemporary.
Nice YSL Dadas, I love love love those shoes. I haven’t worn mine yet this season because they were so iconic last spring, but I think I will have to start wearing them again.
I actually think that she’s the only one who could pull off such an outfit.. At first look, I immediately realized that it is so her without even knowing her personally.. She looks really at ease and wonderful..
great dressn’cardi combo – very modern – perfect haircut too….not to mention the fresh smiling face. i can see that the shoes work but they don’t turn me on. well the heel is great. its the front bit which is frumpy…but then maybe i’m just being grumpy.
I LOVE HER!!!! The combination of the dress with the cardigan is really challenging, but she pulls it off in spades! I also love the pairing of the dress with the muted metallic sling-backs. In the words of Sandra Bernhard: Simply – PERFECTION.
this is my favorite silouhette right now — she’s absolutely perfect from head to toe. great shoe, great colors, great smile, darling haircut, a casual ease. perfect.

I adore the dress and hair–very clara bow meets the Sixties–but the chunky heel will, I’m afraid, never do it for me.

Wow – fantastic shot! Love all the earth tones. The scale of her shoes are perfect with the geometrics of the dress.

Look at those colors! And the tone. Nothing forces the chic with the fresh… Darling.
Would that cut be called a “hobble skirt”?
it’s sort of a Pierrot-Poiret.
