This is gorgeous. I love the tone on tone textures, the dress, shoes and tattoos are very refreshing together. I’d love to see what she would do in the dead of winter.

I love how she looks! She has the perfect mix of casual, avant garde, fresh and functional. You get the sense of her true personality and spirit rather than just a “fashion statement.” I think women should take a cue from her. She seems to have figured out a way to dress that doesn’t scream a look, but instead reflects the essence of her spirit. From seeing the two pictures, I get the feeling from her that she doesn’t let clothing/style rule her. Rather that her clothing is personally functional. I am currently experimenting with dressing more personal and functional. I think this is more modern and reflective of a less restrictive way of “feminine” dressing. Men have dressed functionally, yet with personal details/touches for decades. I think it’s time women start to take a cue from them.
P.S. I don’t think her dress is shapeless. It has a definite shape, it’s just a different shape than one that would contour to her body. I think it takes a different kind of way of thinking about the body in relation to the clothing to be able to fully appreciate this shape. Does clothing always have to reveal? Some of the best designers have challenged our traditional notions of how clothing should relate to the body. Issey Miyake, Rei Kawakabo Junya Watanbe, and Hussein Chalayan come to mind. I see her dress as a part of that way of thinking.

Calm, cool and collected.
The choice of footwear is so cool and goes along with the attitude exemplfied by her colorful bracelets and tats.
I also love the detail of the eyelet dress.
