I absolutely love the bag! Like a darker more mysterious Mary Poppins.
With love from
that bag is fantastic! one of those things that’s probably impossible to duplicate, but worth keeping an eye out for :)
January 13, 2012 at 9:26 am
I wonder what does she keep in that enormous bag.
January 13, 2012 at 9:28 am
The big bag makes me think “modern Mary Poppins”. All she needs is an umbrella. Beautiful shot!
January 13, 2012 at 9:38 am
Darling girl. So sensibly dressed, yet still so attractive. Mind you, she will need physiotherapy from carrying that bag around. (It happened to a friend of mine after years of lugging the biggest handbags.)
January 13, 2012 at 9:47 am
perfect winter look!
January 13, 2012 at 9:48 am
Wednesday Addams all grown up! (I mean that in a good way – I love Wednesday Addams)
January 13, 2012 at 9:50 am
Oh that bag! She makes layers looks easy…
January 13, 2012 at 9:53 am
Omg! That’s amazing. I love the huge bag! :)
I see some character here.
She looks whimsy and edgy and oh, I cannot really classify her looks but I think she pulls it off very well.
Again, thanks for sharing!
A big kiss from Greece!

Perfect combination and a amazing bag.
That bag is amazing! And the turban-style hat too!

LOVE that bag, reminiscent of a stylin’ Mary Poppins ….. Bring back turn of those century details please~ your vintage photos come close
January 13, 2012 at 10:30 am
I like all the wool pieces that she’s wearing and the sunglasses as well
Some interesting shots (this and previous ones) of lots of layers in Italy.

Very nice job. I love her bag :)

Beautiful bag and glasses…
January 13, 2012 at 10:46 am
The shape her hat and hair make is divine. Love the platforms, too.
January 13, 2012 at 10:47 am
I love this look, the black layers, the John Lennon sunnies, the big bag and the outrageous shoes. The turban makes the outfit though.
January 13, 2012 at 10:50 am
Her sunglasses and her bag are just perfect !!

She looks like a young Diane Keaton.
January 13, 2012 at 11:29 am
OMG – i love the proportions.
Marcel Da Chump
January 13, 2012 at 11:45 am
The carpetbag and the Edwardian-style proportions do convey Mary Poppins. Now if she held an umbrella you’d think she floated down from a cloud…thanks, commenters, I have “Chim, Chim, Cheree” playing in my head.

I love love love the bag and want one NOW.
January 13, 2012 at 12:35 pm
She really looks like being out of time. I wonder what she was thinking about at that moment. The contrast with the surroundings and her is so poignant. Great picture!
January 13, 2012 at 12:49 pm
Love it! XOXO
I the bag is way to big for someone of her size, but somehow she makes it work!
January 13, 2012 at 12:55 pm
What a gorgeous bag!! I love the hat! She looks like a french artist in the middle of the 30′s!!
January 13, 2012 at 1:00 pm

January 13, 2012 at 1:40 pm
I love her understated outfit and her overstated bag. It couldn’t work any other way!
January 13, 2012 at 1:47 pm
That bag is absolutely to die for!! I agree with Dee, she does sort of remind me of Diane Keaton -which is a good thing! I think this is the kind of bag you own forever, then pass down to some lucky relative!
January 13, 2012 at 1:55 pm
I have that exact bag but smaller. Funny b/c I just conditioned the leather a few days ago and eager to bring it out again. Love her expression. Makes me wonder what caught her eye.
January 13, 2012 at 2:09 pm
Funky shape / form with the hair and hat, – like an arabic mosque.
January 13, 2012 at 2:15 pm
great bag :)
Practically perfect in every way! This made me have to watch this scene again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FgTCbS6WBM. I imagine that she pulled out a house plant and a hat rack to hang her turban on after this photo was taken.

I could never pull that look off, but oh how I wish I could.
January 13, 2012 at 3:14 pm
Charming. Such a refreshing change from the tight, overtly sexy looks American girls of that age are often seen wearing. When you are that young and pretty, even voluminous woolen clothing like this can be sexy and stylish. Just lovely and unique.

January 13, 2012 at 7:56 pm
Great…love her sence of proportion….great bag because it’s hers
January 13, 2012 at 8:22 pm
Kind of a chic goth look…and I believe I have the same lovely bag of my mother’s from Italy! It’s a bit on the large side to carry around but I’m thinking of toting it now that I’ve seen this!
January 13, 2012 at 8:42 pm
WOW. fabulous accessories! reminds me of some of the style/fashion I’ve seen in Japan.
January 13, 2012 at 8:48 pm

The color of her bag is stunning.
January 14, 2012 at 12:04 am
Very pretty, I’m flying to Pitti soon. Can’t wait!
January 14, 2012 at 2:31 am
As usual, you have the most discerning eye. I was at Pitti for three days…..Wish I had seen this girl in the “real”. However, I did see you…..twice…….once inside Pitti and then in that wonderful restaurant “Cammillo”. Wish I could have been at that table of beautifully dressed and incredible men’s table. I just watched with the upmost pleasure from the room next door. I did hear your speech, and I thought you were so sincere in giving them your “welcome and thanks”. You are a gentleman, Scott.
I love to watch you……..watching others. The look in your eyes is always one of interest, curiosity and love as we find in a young child. I wish your New Year to be full of these “regards”.
Your passion for this industry gives me energy after spending most of my life doing fashion.
I thank you for that. Warmest regards, Linda

UM…bag is amazing…and i have to say – she looks very original!
January 14, 2012 at 5:59 am

January 14, 2012 at 7:50 am
Love the look and the fact that she is indiscreetly looking away whilst posing.
January 14, 2012 at 9:57 am
I once had that exact same bag, in a dirty white, but I sold it on ebay. Seeing this makes me wish I hadn’t…Wwwwwaaaahhhhh ;.(

January 14, 2012 at 5:48 pm
i love this look! to me it has a dash of the Amish style, but a more modernized one. it is truly amazing.
January 14, 2012 at 6:13 pm
I love how she has hints of “spirituality” incorporated in her wardrobe. They are translated into subtle touches like a her minimalist turban and an elephant pendant. What a well planned look. It’s like drawing for hours and hours to get an essence of something, but in a functioning wardrobe.
January 14, 2012 at 8:21 pm
Can not wait to show this pic. to my husband and daughter!!! I was just wearing a turban like this the other day and both of them, considering they know me very well that I do and will experiment, anyways they were just shocked and slightly embarrased. However I do give them a tiny credit since we live in a Hocky ridden, lululemon yoga wear kind of city…so looks like this are just out of place.
Thank you so much Scott for your incrdible insight and brilliant eye.
January 14, 2012 at 10:57 pm
I like how the shape of her hair perfectly mimics the shape of her turban. I was actually shocked that all of the comments were about her bag which I had to go back and look at.
January 15, 2012 at 12:02 am
Positively smitten with the satchel!

January 15, 2012 at 5:39 am
I love the look of this bag but have to wonder if it would be daunting to carry around all day.
January 15, 2012 at 8:26 am
What a nice Bag!!
January 15, 2012 at 11:44 am
I think she looks completely Italian Renaissance..it’s the way her hair and turban frame her face like a Titian painting…the wide white collar and point of her cap adds to the classical portrait. ce magical.
January 15, 2012 at 12:21 pm
Frump goes fad? Loving this look.
January 15, 2012 at 1:57 pm

m sooooo like that bag.
where can i find that bag? :D
January 19, 2012 at 9:30 am
It’s cute and exaggerated on the same time. The fashion crowd gives me double feelings. On one hand daring, intriguing, beautiful people on the other insecure, pretentious and self centered. I love it as much as I don’t.
January 19, 2012 at 10:11 pm
Love the Bag !!!
January 20, 2012 at 8:48 am
I know that girl and I can say she’s always very refined and cool.
