I realize I may be opening up a can of worms here, but one thing I have noticed about this blog is that many (definitely not all!) of the women photographed are gorgeous ladies in fair-to-middling outfits. The woman here has a beautiful face, great hair, and legs I’d kill for. But her outfit? Wellll…would it get a second look on an average person?
See also the recent post with the gorgeous girl in a sheer top and ill-fitting high-waisted jeans. Of course she looks great! She has the body of a supermodel and would look great in a burlap sack!
This is not necessarily a bad thing, because hey, everyone likes looking at beautiful people. Just making an observation…
I am still proud that I shoot a much wider range of people than typical fashion magazines and show me another blog that constantly shoots a wider range.
The lady you mention in this post for me is all about the hair – hair style is a style choice, no?
Could the individual pieces be changed and still be good? yes again, it is the concept – she still looks much more refined than most of the American women of her age. Her wholesome freshness is such a pleasant change from Paris & Nicole
Sorry guys, no-one said, but I bet anything she is Brazilian. She has the magic many Brazilian afros, both men and women have: simplicity and a striking beauty. Just that.
Honestly, I wasn’t saying it’s a bad thing! I wasn’t trying to make a point really, or criticize the site. You do have a greater range than most style blogs and you should be proud.
My question, though, is would anyone like these clothes if they were on, say, a mannequin with her hair? I guess I’m really just wondering more about what’s going through reader’s heads when they see a picture like this. Do they really think she’s got a “great cardigan” and “cute clothes,” or are they getting distracted by the person? I’m really not trying to start an internet fight here, just curious.
the clothes are wonderful but im really loving the hair!!! i hope grow out my afro as beautifully as her’s!!! everything about this photo is amazing…even the background:)
