Oh my God! This is so Great Gatsby.. or the Beautiful and the Damned. Amazing. Amazing.
August 22, 2007 at 10:40 pm
omg i love him!
August 22, 2007 at 10:47 pm
his blue sportjacket sets off the colour of his skin very well. and yes. great gatsby!
So much to hate! Good looking…stylish…nice smile…he’s got nerve! (Not in a bad way…just in a way someone with less good looks…less stylish and a grimace would mean it)
I know…I am a small, small little man….
Great Shot though Scott.
August 22, 2007 at 10:53 pm
linen jacket? regardless, it’s wonderful.
August 22, 2007 at 10:56 pm
passed a blue sport coat up a couple months ago this really makes me regreat it…looks really casual yet great
August 22, 2007 at 11:14 pm

August 22, 2007 at 11:28 pm
that is one wonderful portrait
August 22, 2007 at 11:34 pm
What a shot. I love the ease of his style and warmth of his smile. A complete package.
August 22, 2007 at 11:40 pm
He really has a jolly look, although his smile reveals his rabbit front teeth, not that it really matters.I like his hair though and the summer color clothes.
August 22, 2007 at 11:53 pm
Using the word “bastard” doesn’t seem right.
August 23, 2007 at 12:00 am
Oh yes that man right there happens to be my future husband.(A girl can dream.)
August 23, 2007 at 12:05 am
But you’ve got such a nice personality, Sart!
August 23, 2007 at 12:12 am
I think I need a sky-blue jacket this southern-hemisphere summer :-)
It’ll look great with the navy skirt and grey-blue unlined duffel jacket I’m planning to make. So much better than predictable red.
August 23, 2007 at 12:20 am
Is this Mr ‘More Great Hair” from the other day?
Anyway what a great look this guy has going. Lucky bastard.
August 23, 2007 at 12:38 am
agreed, agreed, all gatsby and faultless. but it’s pretty much the smile that does, it, right?
August 23, 2007 at 1:09 am
looks like he is going to a fraternity reunion. very east coast preppy style. not my cup of tea.
August 23, 2007 at 2:03 am
Wandering down the sidewalk with a wineglass, Sart? What’s the story behind the pic?
August 23, 2007 at 2:18 am
arrrhhh…. he look so f-ing good in almost makes me hurl. So casual and so so, I dont know! Damn. Some people just get it for free dont they? :)
August 23, 2007 at 2:35 am
He reminds me of a brit 2nd WW spy movie, all the guys looked like this one.
August 23, 2007 at 2:41 am
modern Gatsby at first sight indeed.great shot! I doubt he could be as cute as this pic.
August 23, 2007 at 2:43 am
Me love. Wonderful.
August 23, 2007 at 2:47 am
zipper adjustment and a nice belt would have killed! pretty sharp though.
August 23, 2007 at 3:20 am
I want to love and take care of this man for the rest of my life. He’s beautiful.
August 23, 2007 at 3:39 am
It looks like a corduroy jacket from Polo Ralph Lauren. Anyway, very nice!
August 23, 2007 at 3:56 am
You must like this guy? He’s the one in your other “good hair” shot as well, yes? I must go out ad roam the streets for him as well (during my lunch hours?) as I work at Östermalm and he seems to be out and around quite a bit ;)
August 23, 2007 at 4:43 am
Man, he’s HOT!I like the colours of his clothes.
August 23, 2007 at 5:06 am
Movie Star looks
August 23, 2007 at 5:12 am
I just love the swede’s!!!
August 23, 2007 at 5:15 am

August 23, 2007 at 5:30 am
same guy you posted on August 17th… cheers
August 23, 2007 at 6:35 am
off *fanning myself heavily*. this man is gorgeous. and i love how relaxed he looks with the fit of his pants and the blue sportscoat. i even love the fact that the hair is a little ruffled. a perfect 10
August 23, 2007 at 7:10 am
GREAT MAN IT LOOKS DANDY I LOVE HIS STYLE
August 23, 2007 at 7:14 am
It’s the matching buttons from the pants to the coat to the shirt.
But our gent needs a good rest to pull off the epitome of being abnormally stylish.
August 23, 2007 at 7:33 am
Amazing portraits over here!
Keep the good work!
August 23, 2007 at 7:44 am
Not to be cranky–well, cranky AGAIN–but the pants appear to be a bit overlarge. Otherwise: nifty.
August 23, 2007 at 7:51 am
OMG! Its my great friend Björn af Kleen a.k.a Strindberg. Isn´t he a sweetie? he used to be a gymnast dont you know…I am worried he might keel over from all the gushing comments, but he deserves it really, maiking an effort should always be rewarded.
Love Hanna M
August 23, 2007 at 7:57 am
Cotton, not linen jacket. What do you think of the no belt and shirt collar out over the jacket? Nice hair.
August 23, 2007 at 8:14 am
um, lovely outfit, yes. But doesn’t anyone else see a young Swedish Vince Vaughn?mmm Swedish Vince Vaughn.
August 23, 2007 at 9:17 am
he has so beautiful hands..wow i love him..
August 23, 2007 at 9:43 am
August 23, 2007 at 9:46 am
is it just me, or is there something very American about the looks you’ve posted this week? like they’ve plucked the very best of American style and honed it into something sublime.
August 23, 2007 at 10:19 am
Hot. Red Hot. Trouble.
August 23, 2007 at 10:55 am
He almost looks like someone right out of The Talented Mr. Ripley, only a bit updated. Beautiful style…
August 23, 2007 at 11:03 am
I wish I was gay.
August 23, 2007 at 11:11 am
Ah! You’ve found him again!

August 23, 2007 at 11:38 am
this looks like it has been shot in the 70′s. yet he doesn’t look dated
August 23, 2007 at 12:19 pm
East Coast preppy by way of Sweden…perfect!
August 23, 2007 at 12:36 pm
great gatsby, indeed. great personal, stylish, high end take on the “grandpa sweater” that has been popularized in many large retail chains in the past winter/fall seasons.
August 23, 2007 at 1:18 pm
uh-dorable.. perfectly retro with out being ironic.
August 23, 2007 at 1:49 pm
holy crap! That man is timeless.
August 23, 2007 at 2:18 pm
I wish this man were my boyfriend so I could ask him to marry me.

This could easily be a photo from the 50s. Awesome color and I love the sky blue jacket and beautiful smile. And yes, the hair too.
August 23, 2007 at 4:55 pm
Definitely one of your greatest shots.
These kind of pictures are more interesting than the posing ones…I kinda HATE posed pictures.
This one is going to be saved in my ‘Sartorialist’-folder on my laptop.
Nice one, Scott.
August 23, 2007 at 5:10 pm
great style, but great photo too. i like the look you captured on his face.
August 23, 2007 at 5:13 pm
reminds me vaguely of Jude Law in The Talented Mr. Ripley.
August 23, 2007 at 6:32 pm
Jude Law called, he wants to know the name of your stylist…he should be so lucky. Looking forward to stalking this guy next week…LOL
August 24, 2007 at 4:45 am
yes, very great gatsby
August 24, 2007 at 5:30 am
I LOVE his trousers. I’m not sure why, but I love them. He’s looking so amazingly old-fashioned handsome I want to introduce him to my mother post haste. Who wouldn’t love to have him for a son-in-law, you know? Seriously though, the jacket/trouser combo is amazing, and the trousers in particular are great. I also like how his hair goes so well with the general style.
August 24, 2007 at 6:26 am
I shall go to Sweden to find myself a husband.
August 24, 2007 at 8:20 am
He recalls Tom Ripley, yes.
I favor the original, “Purple Noon,” for the actors (esp. Alain Delon and Michele Laforet), the brilliant cinematography, and of course the style.
That film and “Bonjour Tristesse” are favorite references of mine for fashion c. 1960 or ever.
August 24, 2007 at 8:27 am
CORRECTION: his clothes remind me of Tom Ripley. He looks like a nice person, of course. Not a psychotic killer.
August 24, 2007 at 8:40 am
August 24, 2007 at 5:13 pm
Oh I love this. A slight retro quality, and the ease that he wears this beautiful blue jacket is amazing.
August 24, 2007 at 8:34 pm
hot damn he is one fine specimen
August 24, 2007 at 10:51 pm
I love this. I don’t know exactly why. I think it is perhaps because he looks so friendly and warm. And an outfit that could have looked a bit too stiff and preppy is softened by the worn-looking jacket and pants. Why don’t any of these men in the Great White North? :)
August 25, 2007 at 5:32 am
Great looking guy with a great outfit :)
August 25, 2007 at 10:30 am
oh how I adore this image. great gatsby is right! this is so fabulous it hurts. welcome back, prep.
August 25, 2007 at 12:44 pm
This guy is so vintage. He looks like someone from the 1950′s, strangely reminds me of a young (though much better looking) Truman Capote.
August 25, 2007 at 7:20 pm
what a gorgeous man…love how you’ve captured him in such a natural pose…that blue suits him so much! beautiful!
August 26, 2007 at 3:25 am
handsome and chic guy, but it’s the ease and effortlessness and openness of his face that makes it a winner.
August 26, 2007 at 5:18 am

August 27, 2007 at 12:49 pm
This is my style icon. I do wonder, why no belt? I need to finish with a belt. I know that The Sartorialist will often note the same people over the course of time, I want to see him when the Stockholm winters hit, what is he wearing? How could you cover that hair with a hat?
Off The Cuff
August 27, 2007 at 5:09 pm
Very cool dude. He has a little bit of that young Frank Sinatra going on.
August 27, 2007 at 11:19 pm
how can you not love his smile…
August 28, 2007 at 8:01 am
his hair!!! he’s sooo beautiful!!
August 29, 2007 at 2:09 am
he looks like the guy from your previous post. (or do they just have the same style?)
August 29, 2007 at 5:54 pm

March 6, 2010 at 5:12 am
As a Scandinavian living in France, I must say, the best looking guys are back home.
I bet it's his natural hair colour. Ahh
August 8, 2010 at 1:35 pm
luuuuuuuv those fingers……..
December 12, 2010 at 7:15 pm
this is just perfect, and the expression on his face is just the cherry on top of the perfect cake of an outfit.
November 28, 2011 at 5:32 am
anyone know what sport jacket got this guy??
