I am 8 years old, and I (and my mom) love your blog. I really love the tee. The tee is SOOO cute. It goes well with the skirt and the cat head is the same size as her head!:) Nice proportion!

I love this, her whole outfit is so cute!
November 15, 2011 at 12:04 am
Nice shot! Even more so after seeing the video: the light didn’t seem easy at all! Well done. You really master your craft.
I love this photo! Tokyo looks lovely, and the girl’s outfit is very casual-chic. Love her skirt. The lighting is beautiful, too!

That clutch is so beautiful that I’m almost about to cry! I really like her skirt to. Very nice and flowy. Though her top isn’t really my style. Great photo though!

I read this site on an Italian magazine. wow, what a brilliant idea! compliments. the subjects are photographed exclusively for street or in their homes? often the elegance of a subject is also transmitted all’abiente in which he lives by creating synergies of colors, smells and atmospheres …
November 15, 2011 at 5:58 am
She´s looking good but the behind the scenes video is horrible! Was it filmed on a phone? What a shame for brother!
November 15, 2011 at 6:00 am
This represents everything I love about contemporary Japanese style, it’s playful, effortless, feminine and a little quirky.

This is a beautiful photo-I especially like the sidewalk and the light nuance.
November 15, 2011 at 8:12 am
apart from the cat on her tee i love everything..i have an aversion to all things cat except garfield.
November 15, 2011 at 8:20 am
Love her clutch!
November 15, 2011 at 8:26 am
eyes and lips slightly aghast, slightly amused, she has seen things, during long walks and during long dreams; she will keep them to herself.
November 15, 2011 at 8:54 am
November 15, 2011 at 8:57 am
I am absolutely loving her graphic tee and simple look. She is messily *put together* perfectly..
November 15, 2011 at 8:58 am
She looks so effortless, love it!
November 15, 2011 at 9:03 am
I love the light and how looking at this picture makes everything seem surreal.
Precious capture! (:

That satchel is perfect! Looks like perfect weather…
November 15, 2011 at 9:57 am
This has the quality of a film still; the lavender twilight is so evocative and beautiful. The girl, while dressed in a very contemporary way also has a mythical quality; you can easily imagine her in ancient Japanese costume in a classic film.
November 15, 2011 at 10:52 am
She’s beautiful and I love the clutch, as the most ones here seem to do.
But what I really liked about this post, is the little film ;-)
November 15, 2011 at 10:53 am
epitome of casual cool. love the idea of those bags.
November 15, 2011 at 11:01 am
Like your shot of the skateboarder in the red hat flying ahead, I love how the lighting at dusk changes the hue of clothing. Especially cool and in contrast is how crisp black and white still appears.
November 15, 2011 at 11:10 am
Gorgeous picture. So atmospheric.

November 15, 2011 at 11:16 am
I’ve looked at this picture several times now and struggle to see what you all see. Yes, she does have such innocence, but that is simply because she is so young.
As cute / innocent as she is; for me, from a style perspective, she’s not doing anything to write home about.

November 15, 2011 at 12:10 pm
Beautiful photograph. I watched the behind the scenes video, and loved it. I saw how dark it was when you shot this and thought how in the world is that going to come out? Great work in super low light, great work across the board. I’ve been following you for a long time and it’s been so fun/inspiring to see your vision develop over time through you images. Bravo! xxo
November 15, 2011 at 12:36 pm

November 15, 2011 at 6:13 pm
Great video! Always such a thrill to see you in action, but, hey, what’s this nonsense about ‘women’s cities’ or ‘man’s cities’? You might hav a certain point and I think I somehow got what you mean, but… still, ehh… no…
November 15, 2011 at 7:20 pm
I guess it’s not Tokyo but Yokohama.
Anyway, I love this.
November 15, 2011 at 7:41 pm

November 15, 2011 at 7:50 pm

November 15, 2011 at 10:12 pm
Amazing light. It gives the whole picture such an eerie look. I like the skirt, and the creeper shoes. I could do without the t shirt, but all in all great picture.

Love this composition, the lightning, the reflections on the ground ….the whole scene and of course her outfit. A bit dark, nevertheless it’s still good enough so see her outfit
