So laid back – so effective!
October 27, 2011 at 6:27 pm
i love how sexy it is to show your shoulders :) and both high waist skirt
October 27, 2011 at 6:32 pm
I love racerbacks- they seem to connote movement. Did you shoot them from the front or side also? I have several racerbacks from American Apparel and Alexander Wang’s T line, and I have to wear one of those strapless stretchy things under them, especially with Wang’s, because you can see everything from the side and front! When I became someone’s mother, I stopped going braless : )
August 31, 2012 at 5:31 pm
Me too! I used to wear wife beaters without bras, something that ashamed me now. I always assumed since my tits were small it didn’t matter: wrong! I love how simple and effective a racer back can be, especially in a simple fabric.

This is great i really love the racer back singlets for autumn.

Really chic looking with a skirt. Great shot.
Check out today’s look:
October 27, 2011 at 6:42 pm
absolutely amazing shoulders!
October 27, 2011 at 6:43 pm
oh i love that last one…the drape is so great with her shoulders.
October 27, 2011 at 6:53 pm
LOVE the look of racerbacks, but how do you swing it when you’re a bra size 34D?
October 27, 2011 at 6:54 pm
love racerbacks, and the second photo is my fave of the three
October 27, 2011 at 6:57 pm
I agree with @ellie it’s so sexy show the shoulders this way =)
really cool trend

Love the look of a racerback but boy, those fabrics look thin and sheer for a no-bra look. Glad you shot them all from the back!
October 27, 2011 at 7:08 pm
shoulder blades like scalpels, slice through the air, let forth a blood-flow of cool confidence.
October 27, 2011 at 7:18 pm
very nice, but I want fall, I want NY! Come on!
October 27, 2011 at 7:20 pm
I love racerbacks! So chick but still so chill.
October 27, 2011 at 7:21 pm
I’m always very curious how to wear this without showing bra strings…Will be great if can see how the girls wear them from the font !
October 27, 2011 at 7:32 pm
Racerbacks always look amazing. That last one is my favourite x
October 27, 2011 at 7:37 pm
Love the Outfits ! So adorable!
October 27, 2011 at 7:40 pm
Who doesn’t love racerbacks? So sexy and breezy ;)

Love the juxtaposition of the classic laidback racerback with a great skirt/pant and killer shoes. So amazing!!
October 27, 2011 at 7:45 pm
Really like the third image. The combination.
October 27, 2011 at 7:46 pm
Great look from the back, but how sheer is this in front? Especially when light colored – tiny busts might pull it off but anything more, no.
October 27, 2011 at 7:49 pm
I don’t know…seems a bit sloppy to be honest.
October 27, 2011 at 7:55 pm
It’s a cool look, but like other commenters I can’t help wondering what’s going on up front.
October 27, 2011 at 8:04 pm
Looks trashy like Lindsay Lohan. Never saw the appeal in that type of glamour.
October 27, 2011 at 8:05 pm
The third photograph is beautiful!
October 27, 2011 at 8:10 pm
Can’t spread your arms with this kind of top (specially when you are not wearing a bra)!!
October 27, 2011 at 8:18 pm
Maybe they should go from racerback to nothing because all three of these women have hands down beautiful backs and those sloppy tee are obstructing the view.
October 27, 2011 at 8:36 pm
unexpected but not for everyone above an a cup I’m afraid .. lol
October 27, 2011 at 8:50 pm
No. That is just not right. Great look for an Olympic Swimmer, but only at the pool.
October 27, 2011 at 8:51 pm
I think it’s sexy in theory because it shows off your shoulders and back, but I’d be worried about flashing somebody unnecessarily.
October 27, 2011 at 8:53 pm
Love it! Especially the first photo!
I’m a big fan of racerback tshirts, specially in this urban chic kind of way.
October 27, 2011 at 9:08 pm
So laid back and sexy!
October 27, 2011 at 9:14 pm
I like the last one.
October 27, 2011 at 9:26 pm
apparently these gals don’t care about on-lookers peeking through the sides/deep armholes??
(with the white cotton, i guess it really doesn’t matter…)
October 27, 2011 at 9:29 pm
Beautiful bodies aside, I’m not a fan of the extreme racer-backs shown here- the thin cotton knits and so much skin during the day come across as trying too hard and cheap; better fabrics and/or evening wear seem like better matches for an ultra deep cut. Analyzing why the middle photo seems more successful, and I think it’s because the cut isn’t as deep on the sides- it’s definitely sexy, but not as desperate looking and sloppy as the other two.
October 27, 2011 at 9:45 pm
love racerbacks, but on super slim girls it really isn’t the right look
Great shots! Racerbacks are soooo sexy–and bra size isn’t that important if you have a great strapless bra—what IS essential are toned arms–that’s the real deal-breaker!
October 27, 2011 at 9:47 pm
October 27, 2011 at 9:58 pm
Curious, how does one wear a racerback without showing straps? I enjoy racerbacks, but cannot stand how revealing they can be from the side.
October 27, 2011 at 10:19 pm
I love how sexy racerbacks are! One of my favorites!
I got your BACK!
October 27, 2011 at 10:43 pm
Is this a new trend? It has been quite some time since in-your-face bralessness has hit the streets, at least in the US. This makes me think of the 1970s when women burned their bras.
I think showing a little back/shoulder is one of the simplest & classiest ways to add a little sexy to an outfit. Love this post!
October 27, 2011 at 10:45 pm

In the 1970s, women burned their bras. This look reminds me of that time of women’s liberation.
October 27, 2011 at 11:36 pm
Wow. All amazing looks and all so different!
October 27, 2011 at 11:41 pm
I love a racerback but don’t happen to like any of these or think they look good on these women.
October 27, 2011 at 11:56 pm
Racerback tees – can never gone wrong.. always fit for any style! I LOVE IT!
October 28, 2011 at 12:10 am
think u have to have a nice back to look good in these
October 28, 2011 at 12:48 am
How do you wear the racerback without incessant flashing? No matter what kind I wear, loose, fitted, cropped… they never fit me right and I end up giving the world a glance at my goodies.

Racerbacks emphasize the strength of a woman’s shoulders and back, and that’s both cool and sexy.
October 28, 2011 at 2:22 am
I love the backs of these tops.. so sexy and subtle!
October 28, 2011 at 2:23 am
I love racerbacks! Sexy without being too risqué. Though I don’t know how one would pull off the styles shown if you are above a B cup. :(
October 28, 2011 at 2:31 am
I’m not into it. I think they make elegant shoulders look like those of the Incredible Hulk. Subject beautifully shot as always, though.
October 28, 2011 at 2:36 am
such an effortless and sexy look, i love my loose racerbacks, great pics!
October 28, 2011 at 2:43 am
Love me some racerback. Sexy and sporty and effortless all at the same time, what else could you ask for? It’s officially too cold for them here, but you can bet I’ll be wearing them again next year, and the year after, and the year after…
October 28, 2011 at 2:48 am
Not sure racerbacks are a good idea unless you have a stunningly beautiful back (which is very rare!)
The life after
October 28, 2011 at 3:56 am
I don’t like racerback in an elegant outfit. It is too sportive and masculine… but not in a nice way! And you have to be so skinny t wear them!
October 28, 2011 at 4:00 am
I can appreciate this look in a magazine, but it is far too revealing for everyday women to wear. Side-cleavage and a full view of someone’s nipples? Unless you have a perfect, perky rack, its just a sad show.

That photos more beautiful.
XOXO from Munich
October 28, 2011 at 4:27 am
mirin lats. look thick, solid, tight. thanks for the motivation.
October 28, 2011 at 5:11 am
Yeah, right. This can only be done with no boobs. Just a touch more muscle tone (not too much or you’ll look like an olympic swimmer) would make the look work for me.
October 28, 2011 at 6:00 am
Love the tanktops! Also nice if combined with a cool bra!
October 28, 2011 at 6:04 am
Try wearing racerback this winter. :P

I think it’s extremely sexy and edgy. On those girls, though. For me, – I’m a bit more, uhh, curvy, it’s not an option. I’m okay with my body, but the only thing I can say about me wearing these: It looks nasty. :(
October 28, 2011 at 6:34 am
I think you’d wear those bra-less cups.
October 28, 2011 at 6:51 am
I am looking for that kind of top since a long time!!!!!
October 28, 2011 at 7:05 am
The last picture looks cool!
October 28, 2011 at 7:17 am
love how the loose racerbacks is lot just to layer..#3 pic it’s so good she is back for an encore..

The shoulders are just so lovely… i miss summer!
October 28, 2011 at 7:39 am
First pic is lovely! That’s cute!
October 28, 2011 at 9:09 am
Interesting and they all have very sexy backs, but not sure I even want to see them from the front. Or side.

Racerbacks also convey inner strength and steely resolve.
October 28, 2011 at 10:09 am
October 28, 2011 at 11:38 am
It’s not a particularly feminine look, makes me cringe
October 28, 2011 at 12:00 pm
I must agree with the detractors. The racerback gives a trashy late-80′s groupie feel.
October 28, 2011 at 12:15 pm
Racerbacks and pencil skirts are such a great look! I love it every time I see it done more rock’nroll ro more athletic or more fashion fierce it always looks wonderful.
October 28, 2011 at 12:20 pm
Love the racerbacks but how would someone that *needs to wear a bra pull that off while still looking classy & chic? Your thoughts are welcome! :)
October 28, 2011 at 2:27 pm
Interesting look but I don’t find it particularly attractive–surely something else would work–I just don’t get it.
October 28, 2011 at 2:36 pm
Racerbacks look better with a tight fitting cami underneath.
October 28, 2011 at 2:42 pm
lovely and chicly sexy!
October 28, 2011 at 4:08 pm
You wouldn’t expect racerbacks to be so elegant
October 28, 2011 at 4:49 pm
the trick is the tight waist that makes the racerbacks sexy…. and heels
October 28, 2011 at 5:12 pm
I love how sexy racerbacks are.
Revealing but classy, not at all slutty.
Another favourite of mine, boat necks – show off the collar bones.
Oh! and off the shoulder tops.
Such a sexy, less acknowledged part of women in fashion I find.
It’s either legs for days, or clevage is what I’m finding.
October 28, 2011 at 6:40 pm
so effortlessly sexy
October 28, 2011 at 8:04 pm
Not since Madonna wore that pointy bra have I seen anything so risque. It seems that you’d see all the boob through the side opening, not to mention having an unsupported rack at the front.
October 28, 2011 at 9:54 pm
@ Breanna; I think there is nothing wrong with wearing a cute more athletic looking white bra even though people will see the strap. the Gap Body has ones that work really well for that purpose, in my opinion of course. Then if you wanted to take it a different direction a black lacy bra could be really rock chic. Bra parts showing can be very sexy. I am a smaller size, but I always wear a bra, because I feel like its easier to be active. Also, there are plenty of racerbacks that don’t come down so far and you can hide a bra under them, so only at the sides you will see it. But I would just go ahead and let it show.
October 29, 2011 at 2:55 pm
I adore the pictures!
October 29, 2011 at 3:02 pm
nothing beats sexy shoulder blades!
October 30, 2011 at 12:41 pm
There is nothing sexier then a racerback. Love it.
October 31, 2011 at 4:05 am
What the sexy chick. They were made more sexier by the dress.
October 31, 2011 at 4:31 am
i love the last girl! she is sensual!

I really love those low cut arm holes.
October 31, 2011 at 11:51 am
No, not, no.
The textures don’t match the skirts. The cuts are too low, the clutches are clutched so very discreetly.
Nice shots though, the light on the skin is again beautifully captured!

It looks like those ladies expose their booobs to the world. Too risky. I would feel so uncomfortable in that shirt only thinking about my boobs coming out in public. NOPE!
November 4, 2011 at 3:41 pm
please, answer the question, a quite important detail: how to wear them as styleful upfront? Not sure if the invisible pads in the front are in line with the laidback and casual look?
November 24, 2011 at 5:29 am
I don’t like these for myself b.c they make my shoulders look huge which I really don’t like!
August 28, 2012 at 11:46 pm
Female wifebeaters… I’m not a fan of wearing them, no matter the sex, on the outside, and even if the temperature gets unbearable, there are plenty other elegant solutions available.
