I always want something Giovanna’s wearing…for instance, the dress in the first shot, and the loafers in the second. The two looks are so different, but they’re both great!
I love love love that top look. She is one of my absolute favorites, she always looks so chic and pulled together, but still “real” enough for the look to seem attainable.
how something so simple could be so beautiful and I think the accessories definitely play a big part in maximizing the beautyof her style. Wish I was there and not in my office checking you out… ha
I adore how she incorporates trends accessibly; its chic, timeless as approachable in a sense that crowds could moniter, accept and reconfigure for oneself- its practical. But nevetheless inspirational.
Flats are so chic, refreshing from heels, which make the wearer look as though they are trying a bit too hard to be pretty.
beautynaturalment.blogspot.com
I’m sure this will be an unpopular opinion, and not to say that Giovanna B doesn’t have great style and legs, but I feel she is a bit too mature to wear styles that are more young-girlish as the first photo and rather short in the second photo, especially when you aren’t wearing tights at least.
Ok, there I said it.
No doubt she is a beautiful woman with a goddess figure and great sense of fashion, but I always thought it was not that hard for a lady in her position to dress nicely, with her profession she surrounded by beautiful, luxurious fashion items and probably most of them are free, so I would appreciate more for those normal street girls, under the limited resource they exercise their amazing creativity to mix/match something maybe find from second-hand stores or even DIY to create their own unique and personal style.
LOVE that the mini is back! It’s time to show some legs ladies! Love the first pic – classic and elegant and mini. The second is fun and casual, especially paired with flats. But I’m a bit worried about her texting in the middle of an intersection. :)
Thanks for sharing – as always – you’re incredible!

I just go stupid-senseless in AWE over Giovanna. When I first spotted her (April 09, I think) was when I discovered The Sartorialist. My life changed forever. I tried to Google her without knowing her last name and didn’t have much luck. Then I found a used magazine at Starbucks with an article on “women in the fashion industry”. I turned to it and THERE SHE WAS …. Giovanna Battaglia! Like a crazed weirdo, I went home and surfed the ‘net for hours, slobbering over her style.
Thank you for introducing her to me. She inspires me.
I’d like to assure you and your readers I am mentally quite stable.
How did she get my grandfather’s slippers??? :) I love Giovanna’s style, and the clothes are beautiful, but my honest opinion is that it’s crazy to have/borrow/receive, etc., so many clothes. It’s just unbelievable, really, when you think of the dollar value of garments and accessories that have been draped over that body. I would be more excited to see her wearing a lot of the same clothes over and over again, but in different ways. Sounds weird and doesn’t really fit with the whole point of “moda,” I know :), but I’m just so tired of consumption. It would be great to see someone like her put her obvious eye to work in using many many fewer pieces.
