It was such a beautiful outfit, it’s really a pity for the socks! The whole combo now sucks!

I’m hearing Joni Mitchell, “Blue.” And also Carly Simon on her Torch album, singing “Blue of Blue.”
October 31, 2011 at 8:42 am
I usually dislike the bobby socks trend but here I really do like it. I think it stops her outfit from being too serious. It could creep up on matronly but those socks add a touch of whimsy that show she knows how to have some fun with her clothes.
October 31, 2011 at 8:45 am
I think one of you best photos…
October 31, 2011 at 8:46 am
Again, so pretty!

Shes so polished and elegant, the little white cotton anklets really throw me. And not in a good way.

I cannot tell you on what level i adore this – perfect head to toe x
October 31, 2011 at 9:00 am
love everything about this look / the wearer’s beauty, down to her crossed ankles.
October 31, 2011 at 9:01 am
you’ve photographed her several times.. and i see why.. she’s stunning!

October 31, 2011 at 9:02 am
Classic look, and I love the twist of the loafers and socks. Beautiful!
October 31, 2011 at 9:07 am
Eleonora’s sense of style is great but I prefer when you catch people being natural, smiling, laughing, so tired of all these perfect pouts and pigeon toes, girls get real!
October 31, 2011 at 9:11 am
Wow! She looks amazing, I love this shade of blue and the fabric creases on the sleeves!

October 31, 2011 at 9:16 am
Blue never looked so good. She looks amazing. x
October 31, 2011 at 9:19 am
it’s funny for easily you get used to the way things are without even noticing – as the image was uploading I was subconsciously expecting to see a cigarette in girl’s hand and was surprised to see otherwise. is it just me or do you as well feel that cigarette is a casual friend of slim young fashionistas?
October 31, 2011 at 9:21 am
she could do without the white socks with those heels but otherwise a great look
socks with sexy pumps..It’s a fashion statement!

The socks are not really on my taste but I love the skirt and the shoes!
Amazing clutch !
October 31, 2011 at 9:34 am
yea the socks. hm. but you captured a mood, and that makes the photo gr8!
October 31, 2011 at 9:35 am
Oooops, accidental double comment, my apologies!
October 31, 2011 at 9:36 am
Love how she pops from the background and how the busy passers by frame her beautifully. Great capture. Are those shoes Christian Louboutin I wonder? Beautiful!
October 31, 2011 at 9:41 am
Incredible! I love her face! And what an outfit, wow!
so beautiful. blue is the color.
October 31, 2011 at 9:53 am
Nicely captured shot. The blue is beautiful.
October 31, 2011 at 9:55 am
adoring this look. ESPECIALLY the socks.
liked the outfit very much.
October 31, 2011 at 9:56 am
I love this bag and her prada sunglasses
October 31, 2011 at 10:00 am
She’s so gorgeous that it’s insane!
How sultry even with those playful white socks. The midnight blue is so decadent!
October 31, 2011 at 10:11 am
Not really in love with those white socks, I guess a pair of nice black leggings would have served her much more!
October 31, 2011 at 10:13 am
She’s a beautiful girl!

October 31, 2011 at 10:21 am
I wish I had the courage to wear a blouse like that.
She loves her socks and I love her for that
October 31, 2011 at 10:23 am
Ah. Some folks don’t dig the socks-with-great-shoes combos that we see so often on your blog. But I do. And I love it. Gimme more.
This lady looks like (or is) that mysterious lady you photographed sometime ago; the one wearing a salmon colored suit with the socks-and-heels combo? And almost disappearing into the wall behind her.
I called her Mystique then. It’s her mole that gives her that aura.
October 31, 2011 at 10:28 am
love this entire outfit probably costs a fortune, no jewelry needed
October 31, 2011 at 10:35 am
What a great look! Love the bag…

Beautiful blue, but socks are ugly with heels
October 31, 2011 at 10:41 am
Sorry, the socks have GOT to go.
October 31, 2011 at 10:47 am
In all honesty beautiful people are getting boring to look at…
October 31, 2011 at 10:48 am
Gorgeous tones of blue!
October 31, 2011 at 11:04 am
I like the color!

October 31, 2011 at 11:08 am
I love blue.. such a wonderful color!
October 31, 2011 at 11:24 am
Socks: detracting from beautiful people’s natural good looks and otherwise impeccable style since 2010!
October 31, 2011 at 11:28 am
love the blue and also the photo’s composition although she’s not in motion!

She wore blue velvet
Bluer than velvet was the night
softer than satin was the light
from the stars…
October 31, 2011 at 11:40 am
As much as I like this photo, I have to point out my dissenting opinion on the outfit in two points:
1. Bag colour & texture (similar to the dress but not the same)
2. Stockings with the shoes (not as thin as I would like them to be)
Otherwise blue velvet would have been amazing.
Kisses from Greece!

I love the blue bag… that’s my favorite color!
October 31, 2011 at 12:09 pm
Amazing photo, and love her look. The blue is gorgeous, and the sock in her heels so unexpected, yet nice
October 31, 2011 at 12:14 pm
This outfit reminds me of a grown up sophisticated version of the swingy velvet dress with lacy ankle socks I used to wear as a little girl. The socks make the outfit hers, not just a beautiful dress with heels.
October 31, 2011 at 12:31 pm
Socks ?! …Not really a good idea in this case!
October 31, 2011 at 12:54 pm
Just one of my favorite spots in Paris! She looks stunning and I love that she wore white socks with that stunning outift! What a gorgeous look. http://www.casualglamorous.com
October 31, 2011 at 12:56 pm
She has a striking face. Love the nuances to the shade of blue in her outfit.
The socks ruined the whole outfit; without the socks the ensemble would be terrific!
October 31, 2011 at 1:01 pm
Wow, she looks amazing. I love the socks with those fabulous shoes!
October 31, 2011 at 1:11 pm
i adore this outfit. she looks absolutely lovely.
une chatte grise
October 31, 2011 at 1:12 pm
I think Taylor’s right about this one–without the socks, the outfit would look matronly (beautiful color or no); with the socks, it looks playful and retro.

I really can’t decide what I feel about the whole socks with heels thing… I kind of like it here….
October 31, 2011 at 1:21 pm
i like her outfit and the drama on her face! nice shot, as always!
October 31, 2011 at 1:26 pm
GREAT picture, I love how she stands out from the small crowd and of course that velvet blue dress is breathtaking, I love the silhouette it gives her.
And it really makes me want to wear socks with a dress it makes it so cool and preppy, perfect for daytime.
October 31, 2011 at 1:33 pm
What a great outfit and she looks sensational by WHY, Oh WHY has she gone and put those silly socks on? Please leave them off next time!
October 31, 2011 at 2:14 pm
that is a colour and a half
or maybe three quarters!
October 31, 2011 at 2:25 pm
I don´t like that socks but the rest is great.
October 31, 2011 at 2:35 pm
Once again, Eleonora Carisi….she always seems so self confident!
October 31, 2011 at 2:49 pm
Could do without the socks but those blues and those textures…I want that outfit to be what my bed looks and feels like :)
Le Sapphire Blue
October 31, 2011 at 3:11 pm
Oh la la! Le velours bleu et les chaussettes!!!!
She is so beatiful in her blue velvet and white socks.
Je me demande si elle sait a quel point elle est unique!!!
October 31, 2011 at 3:15 pm
Takes a special girl to pull this look off!
October 31, 2011 at 3:24 pm
Those socks saved the outfit from being beautiful, but slightly matronly and makes it all hers, amazingly whimsical and totally fabulous!
October 31, 2011 at 3:33 pm
October 31, 2011 at 3:41 pm
You know – it has gradually become clear: some guy like women with big hair. You really like women with big shoes.
October 31, 2011 at 3:50 pm
She looks great, one of your best photos I’ve seen lately!
October 31, 2011 at 3:57 pm
What an exquisite top! Are these taken from Fashion Week? It is so cold and dreary now in Paris – I long for that wonderful week of fashion and sunny skies back!
October 31, 2011 at 4:05 pm
Allison (October 31, 2011 at 9:07 am) you took the words right out of my mouth. I much prefer seeing the more natural shots rather than the model-like posed ones.
October 31, 2011 at 4:42 pm
I must one thing like about the Pic is the pouze and the hair colour it makes her to stand out.Hmmmm keep up the Goood work ;) ….South Africa :)
October 31, 2011 at 4:47 pm
Normally I like socks and heels but I’m not really feeling it this time. The rest of her outfit is lovely though.
October 31, 2011 at 4:49 pm
Beautiful. Its unique, simple, and the fact that she doesn’t feel the need to define the waist and wears the socks shows confidence. That blue velvet is riveting. Thats why there is a song and a movie about it, I suppose!! But the best thing are those sleeves. I just love them!!!!
October 31, 2011 at 4:51 pm
I absolutely LOVe the look on her face. Its so much more natural then the “smile for the camera!” It has dignity. What a great pose and expression!
October 31, 2011 at 4:55 pm
October 31, 2011 at 5:15 pm
@ Johnny; There is no such thing as nice black leggings. Leggings are always gross. I can’t really see someone with good taste like this wearing leggings even on laundry day.
October 31, 2011 at 5:52 pm
I love socks with stilettos but I don’t like that these socks are white. The rest of the outfit however, whew! Beautiful. The proportions are perfect and I lovelovelovelove her beauty mark!
October 31, 2011 at 6:18 pm
Very beautiful… This blue style is so elegant. Amazing look.
October 31, 2011 at 6:30 pm
i love how she styled herself she looks great!!
October 31, 2011 at 6:34 pm
She looks so beautiful and classy.
October 31, 2011 at 6:49 pm
I’m not sure that I’ve ever seen velvet used like that, where it is voluminous around the upper body (i.e. her sleeves). EVERY time I see it, it’s form fitting, and I hate it because it adds so much weight to a person, but done like this is great! Thanks for posting!
October 31, 2011 at 6:59 pm
she’s so soft..i won’t call it perfect but her eyebrows kinda work in front of camera..
October 31, 2011 at 7:38 pm
very gorgeous! the socks aren’t my favorite, but they by no means ruin the outfit!
October 31, 2011 at 8:36 pm
Love the photo!
October 31, 2011 at 9:55 pm
daring outfit and brilliant photo!
October 31, 2011 at 11:44 pm
Gorgeous “Blue Velvet”, “Betty Blue” Quintessential 1980 French movie moments am reminded on ohhh and “Diva” with the blue room and roller skating girl, thanks for reminding me and bringing that blue into now with a gorgeous photo.
November 1, 2011 at 12:57 am
I really love how she wore socks here! It stops the outfit from being too prim and proper
November 1, 2011 at 3:38 am
Lovely blue dress! everything is amazing!
November 1, 2011 at 6:49 am
She is the only girl in the world who could pull this look off. And she does. Hands down. Even if you don’t like / understand the socks, it’s the total effect here that is the point. She makes the look young and fresh, with a sense of humor. That is what makes it – and her – sexy. Gold.
November 1, 2011 at 8:09 am
Love that deep indigo colour, she looks beautiful! Great shot

SHE HAVE AN AMAZING STYLE!
November 1, 2011 at 2:14 pm
damn. she’s got style, taste and class. Love the coherent use of blue combined with the great contrast of textures.
November 1, 2011 at 4:31 pm
Love this dress! Chic and edgy at the same time!
She is the modern French version of Cindy Crawford!

November 7, 2011 at 2:31 pm
The socks and heels- perfect!
November 8, 2011 at 11:44 am
I love her style <3
November 10, 2011 at 8:48 pm
I actually love the socks! They bring a certain amount of playfulness to the ensemble-If she had worn black leggings or dark stockings underneath, She still would have looked gorgeous, but a little too predictable and like she was heading to a funeral. She is stunning and the outfits she wears really bring out her ethereal, otherworldly beauty.

November 14, 2011 at 4:40 pm
always an inspiration to me X

She always looks beautiful and I like her style, but it all seems too contrived, like she gets ready for hours just to go get photographed.
Please Don't Tell
February 23, 2012 at 1:06 pm
Cool in blue and loving the socks=fun
March 3, 2013 at 8:18 am
Love the outfit minus the dingy looking socks.
April 18, 2013 at 1:39 pm
So cool, so chic. It would be too formal without the socks.
