Wow, whenever I see boots worn like that I can’t help but be reminded that the first real city girls, the ‘flappers’ of the 1920′s got that name for wearing their galoshes like this–so cool to see it revived!
she had me until the boots. i like the idea of them but these are too literal an interpretation of what they are while all of the other pieces are somehow slightly just left of center of what they are the oversized dressing gown, the mini perfecto jacket, the variation on a men’s 1920s swimsuit…..nonetheless….she does look great.
That is a great picture. She looks like a punk Kabuki performer. Half of it is her stance and half of it is the combination of clothes themselves. Love it!
I had a black satin dragon kimono and was always waiting for the perfect moment to wear it — finally gave it away out of frustration. So this pix is ENLIGHTENMENT. You just put it on, over a leather jacket even, and WEAR it….
@Antonia at Swedish Love Affair – They look a lot like Docter Martens, so if you can deal with ‘look-a-likes’ then you should certainly have a look :)
Also, what an amazing outfit! I’d almost get jealous of so much rock…
Timeless! Punk Chic will never go out of fashion! Done particularly well here. Beautiful and fierce can be hard to achieve but it sees she has done it effortlessly .
I never see people this “cool” around my area. I need to hit the city a little more often, cause let’s face it, she is the epitome of cool. – Daniel :D
