This photos remind me of one you posted of another (the same?) long-grey-haired woman with a dress with a fabric belt wrapped round and round.
November 7, 2007 at 9:12 am
she looks so familiar – has she been posted before or is she a model? very stylish & confident.
November 7, 2007 at 9:28 am
She’s utterly lovely. I now have a style to aspire to. (-sigh!-) Thanks for you your wide range of subjects. If it were nothing but 17 year olds of the upper classes it would be nowhere near as fascinating. Brilliant!

She’s that certain type of woman….the positive confidence comes off of her in waves. She looks great, has her own style, and makes no apologies for it. Good pick and pic!
This is a person who doesn’t have just elements of style or chic, but is a complete package….that’s my personal goal too.

I saw her at a show in sweden
November 7, 2007 at 9:49 am
Seen her before. I´m not so sure of that floating white hair.
November 7, 2007 at 9:57 am
We’ve seen her before, no? Either way, she’s so fabulous you could post her every day. I love the older ladies – so much character behind their enormous beauty.
November 7, 2007 at 10:04 am
great individual style. beautiful woman – i mean her face, her freshness. she’s look beautiful no matter what she was wearing. but i additionally admire her look of comfort in a tricky ensemble.if i tried to wear that many layers, i would look like i fled my home wearing my bed.
November 7, 2007 at 10:51 am
simply beautiful, classy
November 7, 2007 at 11:05 am
i hope i have hair like that someday.
November 7, 2007 at 11:29 am
I’m all for the white hair. I believe it takes a person who is especially young at heart to age confidently. Her white hair seems like a symbol of that confidence and, believe it or not, her youthful spirit.
November 7, 2007 at 12:08 pm
What a lovely woman! She manages to look chic and carefree at the same time. I love the flowing layers of her outfit. She looks a lot more fun and lively than all the hipsters/industry people who seem to equate being stylish to wearing somber boring outfits lacking any color whatsoever!
November 7, 2007 at 12:24 pm
Hey, it’s the goddess lady from Scandinavia– she was posted here a few months ago.
November 7, 2007 at 12:58 pm
How do you manage to run into this amazing people more then once?
She looks beautiful once again!
November 7, 2007 at 1:12 pm
she was in a pic from stockholm this summer. :) she’s a swedish model. so amazingly beautiful. even more so in real life (i don’t know her but i’ve seen her on the street in stockholm several times.)
November 7, 2007 at 1:58 pm
I remember her from a pic you shot maybe in August? she was wearing the exact same dress =)
November 7, 2007 at 2:00 pm
She’s fantastic! Anyone know who she is?
November 7, 2007 at 2:59 pm
Tried to say it before but didn´t get my comment through: She has this Santa Claus resemblence. And mark-this is not a negative comment!
November 7, 2007 at 3:00 pm
Why does her outfit convince me that she’s a complete nutcase?
November 7, 2007 at 3:01 pm
My hair has started to grey prematurely but photos like this inspire me to age gracefully.
November 7, 2007 at 3:22 pm
beautiful silver hair…untouched
November 7, 2007 at 4:54 pm
Thank God for women like this. She is a vision of what I aspire to as I mature. Confident, poised, aware and moving forward. I love it! These are the images that truly inspire.
November 7, 2007 at 5:17 pm
This woman is so graceful! I love the quirky yet sophisticated style–the layering of materials on her thin frame mixed with accessories that give hints of color is so chic. Her glowing skin is accentuated by that natural (that is, not tampered by hair products galore) silver mane. Is she a J.Crew model?
November 7, 2007 at 5:18 pm
She looks amazing. A perfect example that style and carisma does not have an age limit.
By the way, I love your site, I find it one of my biggest influences when I am making my own blogg.
So thank you for your contribution, it is highly appreciated.

I hope my hair looks that lovely when it all goes silver.
November 7, 2007 at 6:19 pm
No. This is way too Ren Fair.
November 7, 2007 at 6:28 pm
She just looks wonderful. What a beautiful shot. I am always so happy to see photos of people of all ages, and all sexes. These shots are wonderful examples of how style trumps everything.
November 7, 2007 at 7:49 pm
I hope when I am her age my hair is as lovely and white as hers.
November 7, 2007 at 8:51 pm
Very well excecuted — she has her own style, which fits her beautiful white hair and is appropriate to her age. This is just the antipode to DellaRusso’s knee-wrinkle show. This lady knows how to present age stylishly and elegantly.
November 7, 2007 at 11:16 pm
World beat yoga look beyond the cliches. The one on, one off shoulders worn like tibetan people wear their jackets. Her face clever and kind looking.
November 7, 2007 at 11:44 pm
amazing!! i’m in love, dude.

Jeah, I’m sure of I’ve seen her on this site before. She was wearing a white dress with a black scarf. Wonderful!
November 8, 2007 at 7:11 am
This is how I want to look when I get old.
November 8, 2007 at 8:01 am
There goes this wonderful fairy good mother again!
November 8, 2007 at 12:09 pm
At first I thought this was a picture of Jesus. Or a monk. Or a Hari Krishna. I guess it could be. While I love the photo, I think she’d look stunning in absolutely anything. Imagine what shed’ look like in your “All Star’s” shoes and clothes. Beatific!
November 8, 2007 at 12:15 pm
she’s so beautiful and wonderful and confident. this woman makes me love humanity.
November 8, 2007 at 2:19 pm
I agree, I want to look like that when I’m older. She’s great!
November 8, 2007 at 3:37 pm
very monk chic…i’m into it.
November 8, 2007 at 4:36 pm
You’re all so predictably boring. “Ooooh so beautiful, I wanna look like that, sooo fresh”. Ha ha ha…you people annoy the hell out of me.
November 9, 2007 at 8:56 am
i agree with the last comment, its very funny to see how so many people just love some of theses outfits!
I find this outfit overly styled, an a bit Bea Auther from Golden Girls :)
November 9, 2007 at 4:17 pm
Ha ha, anonymous at 4:36 pm. I love it.

Hmmm..this woman was in Sweden, I believe? I think my bubble is burst..my rose colored glasses are removed. I always wanted to believe the photographs were of those that “I was walking down the streets of Paris or a village in Italy and wow! saw this amazing girl”…who happened to work at the local cheese shop or cafe or something and not really a part of the “fashion” world. I guess it’s like a diamond in the rough…to know that the cheese shop girl can put together something so cool and happening without really being in the “biz”…I suppose those are the photos that sparkle to me. Perhaps this woman in the photo just happened to be in Paris like she was in Sweden…and not part of the fashion world at all? Although it is nice to see a familiar face…I’m much more enchanted when the face is that of the cute waitress from that adorable cafe in Italy or wherever…and look how amazing she looks.
November 10, 2007 at 10:06 am
For Calm…there are plenty of non”biz” people on this blog but to be honest I don’t really care if they are in the “biz” or not.
I had no idea who this woman was when I first took her photo in Sweden so to me it is very honest.
I know it is a romantic idea of the waitress with great style and if I meet one I will try to take her photo but I won’t miss a shot because the subject works at vogue.
30 years from now what will it matter? it will still document this period.
November 13, 2007 at 9:23 am
wasn’t she one of kenzos favorite models back in the days?
November 13, 2007 at 10:29 am
i have to agree with calm somewhat. it would be interesting for you to indicate when you know that the subject works in the industry.
to take calm’s point to the extreme, this wouldn’t be the same blog if you documented runway shows.

she looks special…
May 2, 2012 at 5:27 pm
she is a regular in the swedish “gudrun sjoeden” catalogues….if i am not mistaken.
May 30, 2012 at 12:20 am
BRAVO! This lady is an original; she has her own style. Great photo.
November 5, 2012 at 11:23 am
She looks stunning and so graceful. If my gf got to her age and looks the way she does… I’ll be a very happy man!
March 26, 2013 at 1:58 pm
Her name is Ingmari Lamy, she is swedish and was a supermodel in the 60′s, did covers for Bazaar and Vogue. She’s a beautiful person inside and out! She has a blog where she talks about beauty, and also stories from her life as a model and her life now. There she also posts pictures from her modeling days.
