Despite the three very different fabrics making up this outfit, each offsets the others perfectly in tone and pattern and color. The simple accessories add just the right touch as well.
A beautiful woman. It’s amazing how much a photo can tell us about a person without even seeing the face. Everything is beautiful in this photo – watch, ring, bag, shorts, shirt, sweater, nail polish, legs… I wish I knew which shoes she had on!
I love the angle at which you took this photo. The textures, colors, contrast, and movement reflect the beauty of the clothes, the accessories, and the person even though you don’t see the face.
Those shorts are incredible, and the neutral combinations of textures and prints is fantastic. I am loving the Paris Fashion Week people watching and shows! Such a good time of the year!
I´m so crazy over texture/patternt/non flattering color match/structure mash up.
I Love how all designers and people are following god´s steps:
Dries Van Noten: thank you.
wow!that’s what I call health body!she’s got great legs!
also I have to say that the sweater is a masterpiece!
greetings from athens,greece:)
p.s I can’t wait to see photos from stockholm again
This I like. Apart from the fabulous mix of fabrics, she has flawless legs but still doesn’t go too short with the shorts, as opposed to the earlier shot (last week?) of the woman in the red boucle jacket whose bun-baring shorts rode up her crotch and left little to the imagination.
I always thought that clothing (not ‘fashion’) should complement the individual, express the personality of the individual and celebrate the individual.
I hate these photos of parts of a person, and parts of an outfit. I find it insulting to the person, who is, in fact, a person!, an individual! who has assembled a compete look, not a collection of different parts.
The most intriguing part of any outfit is the individual who wears it – the face shows the history and meaning of any outfit. Not including the face in a shot is just ‘fashion porn’ – totally alienated from the person wearing it.
These shorts are from the famous Prada “golden collection” (spring-summer 2002). I have a pair of trousers from the same collection made of this golden fabric with a navy pattern. They are sleeping in my closet for a couple of years. This photo makes me want to wear them again. With a nude knit : what a great idea ! I used to wear them with a navy top and a black blazer, but nude makes the best effect. I love this match of a sophisticated fabric with a casual knit.
Thank you for this photo !
I think you made the right choice in cropping the picture. It allows for a zoom-in on the texture of the fabrics and her skin, creating a sensuousness in the composition.
The blends of colors, prints and fabrics stomp the runways street.
The contrast of wearing casual clothes and glamorous clothes is a visual impact! Amazing!
love the subtle, yet still great under-shirt that she’s wearing. It’s always the more unnoticeable things that make an outfit… In my blog I write about Swedish style in Stockholm:
Love the pale palette of this shot… I find it fascinating how soft nude shades can be and how much freedom they allow in playing with texture, without looking “overworked”…
so interesting to see not a single negative comment for once, people genuinely seem to love this photo and outfit, not just in a “great photo, Scott” kind of way
I love people who wear things so effortlessly, without having to over accessorise and try to be so fashion forward. This lady obviously knows class and style and has picked her outfit to perfection!
