She’s hiding her height (see women on the same plane) or giving her poor feet a holiday. Either way she can do no wrong, she a presence to be reckoned with.
i can not help but believe that inside her purse is a pair of shorts or jeans along with a blouse and back home in her closet is a pair of beige or brown shoes she forgot to place in said purse!
I don’t like it so much (i don’t like sweater) and she should wear shorter dress with chucks or that dress and lower chucks, ballerinas, sandals or heels.
Normally I don’t like pink and blue as a color combination, but here it works. It’s not too sweet. The chucks make it look a little clunky but less sweet too.
Love London Fashion, Swedish fashion is quite different from it, but has some of the same underlying themes, check out my blog for Stockholm Street Fashion:
I love this! It makes me think of London in the 40′s, the country cousin that comes to visit the city relatives. Switch out the chucks for wedgies and it would be a perfect period piece.
Oooooh, I know where this one is from (I was there at the time – photos on my blog)! The Burberry Prorsum SS12 show from London Fashion Week in Kensington.
I love her outfit. The pink cardigan over the vintage style dress certainly stood out from the sea of suits and trench coats! :]
What a terrific photo–she’s the color in a black and white world.
(Her champagne flute introduces a tantalizing hint of a story. What is she doing with it in the street??)
Sorry, but this look has gotten so trite. Wearing Chucks with a dress has been done to death as has women dressing in clothing more appropriate for girls. Plus she is obviously under-dressed for the party she is attending, which is also so tired not to mention just disrespectful.
Well, thank you Scott! And yes, all the above is right: heels would have probably worked better for The Sartorialist, BUT – I couldn’t wear anything but Converse (Scott, you know the reason, I told you)
I felt like a village nurse running away on her break to see that Burberry show!
There is something incredibly sexy about this woman. Not sure if it is the Chuck Taylors with the beautiful blue dress or her incredible legs. Whatever it is I love the look.
Maybe if she would swap the high top Converse for a slip-on (Vans or All-Stars) in a darker blue upper, I think it would work much better. Either that or go with a ballet flat and be done with it.
She looks adorable and refreshing. Its the simplest combinations that make the strongest impact, and this look proves it. If I was a guy she just looks like the coolest, most approachable person there. Somehow she has a damsel in distress kind of thing going. Like I can see most guys doing whatever she asked. Well done.
While I’m not so crazy about this outfit on a grown woman in a professional setting, I am over-the-moon about this as a photograph. For me the success and delight of this shot comes with the contrast between the subject and her surroundings. She’s surrounded by super-serious power-dressers in fitted suits and uncomfortable shoes. And there she is, comfortable and joyful in the moment. She may as well be standing in a field of daisies.
