September 13, 2011 at 9:10 am
Gorgeously done mixing of prints! plus I love her sunglasses!
September 13, 2011 at 9:12 am
Wow. Classy, fun, and flirtatious all at the same time. Very cute look.
September 13, 2011 at 9:16 am

Wow, this shot is amazing – the way you captured her among the crowd, her all smiling and looking fab. Lovely.
September 13, 2011 at 9:53 am
not sure what i think of it
September 13, 2011 at 9:59 am
i like it! especially when contrasted against the backdrop of people dressed in “the uniform” (of black and khaki!).
September 13, 2011 at 10:00 am
The outfit is great, but what makes it pop is her smile. Great photo!
so relaxed and yet very elegant.

Its ironic that you were just in Tokyo and found that Japanese style had changed, only to return home and see the ‘traditional’ right on your doorstep. Mostly I love how happy she looks and her Louboutins are gorgeous as ever.
September 13, 2011 at 10:11 am
natural and beautiful!
September 13, 2011 at 10:13 am
what a beautiful kimono!
September 13, 2011 at 10:16 am
It’s been a while since I’ve seen something I want to try to “copycat”..this is an extremely beautiful combination! She looks wonderful.
September 13, 2011 at 10:17 am
Love how she’s belted the kimono so perfectly, and what it does to the shape of the skirt. Her smile and personality are so strong too – the outfit is so nice, but I keep looking at HER and not the clothes. Love it, thanks again!
September 13, 2011 at 10:20 am
She looks gorgeous.
September 13, 2011 at 10:28 am

I love Eva, I’m so dissapointed that she has grown her hair though, she just looks like any other fashion editor now (albeit with the best eye for an outfit) Love the blog, i’ve been waiting for more pics of Eva for ever!
September 13, 2011 at 10:35 am
pretty smile really don’t care for how she styled herself……

In a sea of NYC people, she radiates beautifully. The mixture of prints and silhoutte of the kimono looks remarkable on her.
September 13, 2011 at 10:53 am
Love her heel height! So ladylike.
September 13, 2011 at 11:03 am
The kimono is so elegant, an the photo is so natural! Love it.

September 13, 2011 at 11:28 am
That is how you stand out in a crowd!
September 13, 2011 at 11:32 am
I love the way she’s styled this, the Japanese kimono with the blue skirt, that exact shade of blue matching, the belt picking up the red in the jacket. Very fresh looking.
September 13, 2011 at 11:33 am
Great photo, amazing styling!
up and coming fashionista
September 13, 2011 at 11:41 am
The outfit is orginal and chic. Her smile is absolutly gorgeous.
The other thing I love is reading people’s comments on the outfits, then rolling up to the picture, looking at things that I hadn’t even realized (the way she holds her bag, her shoes, etc.) Thanks for all the insight!
September 13, 2011 at 11:43 am
She si so beatiful!!!

That Kimono-coat with that slim belt looks simply elegant! Super chic!
September 13, 2011 at 1:26 pm
I love the ease of this outfit – the pattern with the tortoiseshell glasses and then those shoes – walkable, easy shoes – saw them on Net a Porter recently – pretty sure they are Miu Miu x
September 13, 2011 at 1:39 pm
September 13, 2011 at 1:40 pm
WOW!!! Is it something like a Kimono? I love the Miu Miu shoes, I am surprised she is still wearing them as they are last season!!!
September 13, 2011 at 2:17 pm
I have spotted these shoes in stores many times, good to see them in action. I wouldn’t know how to keep them from being stuck-in-60′s-prissy but they’re certainly working here. Great.
September 13, 2011 at 2:22 pm
Elegant and classy.
September 13, 2011 at 2:51 pm

i love the mooving around her. she’s the only one with the smile.
September 13, 2011 at 3:32 pm
what a radiant woman!
September 13, 2011 at 3:51 pm
I really love this look. Especially combining fashion from different cultures. I don’t know if she cares about this sort of thing, but the kimono is always worn left over right before belting …. (my mom’s Japanese. She made sure I knew this!).
September 13, 2011 at 3:57 pm

What a GREAT outfit. I have a thing for asian garments and this kimono is stunning. I love how she accessorized it with a thin red belt matching her lipstick. Plus she has a lovely smile.
She really does stand out in the crowd, your perfect focusing helping of course. This pic is becoming one of my favorite Sartorialist’s photo. Way to capture the moment !

Both her smile and outfit are gorgeous!
September 13, 2011 at 7:42 pm
Her style is so fresh! I love the prints and the length of her skirt is perfect and I’m loving the cinched waist.
September 13, 2011 at 10:30 pm
September 13, 2011 at 10:54 pm
I love how happy this photo is. She stands out so perfectly compared to the grayer outfits around her.
September 13, 2011 at 11:39 pm
Eva is my favorite fashion editor ever. I lover her personal style. I’ve had a soft spot since Scott posted the very first picture of her. I love that she wears flats or low heeled shows most of the time.
NIkki, I think her shoes are Miu Miu.
September 14, 2011 at 12:13 am
I love everything about this shot! Her clothes, how she holds the phone with confidence while holding other stuff on her right side. She looks lovely!
September 14, 2011 at 12:35 am
she’s a natural, exudes style .. could not have taken a better frame
love her shoes ..
September 14, 2011 at 12:59 am
I like the kimono very much, but not with the skirt. Actually, I am not sure if its the cut of the skirt, or if she is a heavier woman, but from here it seems she should tone up her thighs. But her smile is so sweet, that she still looks great. I like the very structured bag and rounded toed shoes too.
September 14, 2011 at 1:07 am
I have to say this is the first time in about a hundred photos I haven’t absolutely loved an outfit on this blog(the photo is still spectacular). It actually makes me feel better! I was wondering if Scott had brainwashed me somehow!
September 14, 2011 at 5:37 am
That’s an amazing outfit. Love it!!
