Oh great shoes !
August 29, 2011 at 4:43 pm
I have always felt a skateboard is the perfect accessory, perfect example!
August 29, 2011 at 5:03 pm
Purple trousers and skateboards? He’s my kind of people!
when I saw the top half of the picture I didn’t expect that the other half would like that! Really unexpected but really love it, the colours of his pants and shoes are really beautiful, really warm. Love that his green adidias stripes match the little green wheels of his skateboard. Also like his glasses, another unexpected detail about this outfit. Really interesting shot! Would the bandage on his finger be a consequence of a fall with his skateboard? ;)

timeless coolness :)
August 29, 2011 at 5:30 pm
wooooow! This man rocks! :D

August 29, 2011 at 5:40 pm
I know! I was looking and the 1st thing I saw was the bandaged finger. : )
He looks like a very fun guy to be around!
August 29, 2011 at 5:58 pm
love this man outfit!
August 29, 2011 at 6:14 pm
Love this :) I wonder if the colours are co-ordinated or by chance? Would eb interesting to know. Anyway, this man is awesome!
August 29, 2011 at 6:22 pm
alive through his clothes and his smile :)
August 29, 2011 at 6:36 pm
I like his cap!
August 29, 2011 at 6:38 pm
I love this! (Especially his cap)
August 29, 2011 at 7:09 pm
He’s pretty cool. :)
August 29, 2011 at 7:11 pm
Love how the green on the sneakers matches the wheels on his skateboard!
August 29, 2011 at 7:16 pm
What?! This dude is so cool. I love that t-shirt. Love this style.
August 29, 2011 at 7:28 pm
I don’t find anything really interesting about this photo, fashion wise at least. Does that mean that he isn’t a cool guy? Not at all. I’m sure he is fun to be around with but this is the Sartorialist, it doesn’t inspire me.
August 29, 2011 at 7:49 pm
Unexpected bottom half — great! I wish more American men would be so fearless about color.

He reminds me of my father. A kid forever. You rule!
August 29, 2011 at 8:40 pm
Love the green details and the purple details!
August 29, 2011 at 9:18 pm
As I age, I look to men like this one for inspiration. Otherwise, I have to guess at what kinds of outfits I can get away with.
I love those pants and want them now. I like the Addidas too, in combination with the pants, and it is time for a pair of brown casual shoes.
your old layout brought value to your pictures! this one doesn’t fit on the screen nicely. and i’m sure all of us loyal followers created an attachment to your old layout. your pictures and eye for street fashion is so good, i hate seeing the layout get in its way.
August 29, 2011 at 9:20 pm
Not sure if he is so old I think he bleached his face hair…..cool guy
August 29, 2011 at 9:23 pm
Why do you write Tokio and not Tokyo?
August 29, 2011 at 10:26 pm
ucome here, TOKIO ! WAO !
August 29, 2011 at 11:00 pm

Great pic! ;)

Welcome in Tokyo!! Wow!!
August 30, 2011 at 12:39 am
I think you have style confused with fashion. I know Scott Schuman cares more about the former more than the latter and that is why he took this photograph. Style is about expressing who YOU are and doing it well. If you want to dress like a skate punk, do it, but do it like this man: coordinated colours, nice fit, cool accessories and a winning personality. If you want to see everyone in the world wearing drop-crotch pants/fabulous man-bags/double breasted blazer then there are plenty of other “fashion” websites that do that. This blog is about style my friend! Stay true to who you are!

Your pictures are always amazing! I love how you capture the emotion of the person in such a way that us your viewers can totally sense it!
August 30, 2011 at 2:26 am
This is so cool. Reminds me of the 90´s. old school :)
August 30, 2011 at 2:32 am
Fashions fades, style is eternal! :)
grate, the wheels are coupled to the strips of shoes!
August 30, 2011 at 2:49 am
Love it :) would wear it myself, though I’m a girl :)
August 30, 2011 at 3:01 am
Look at that well-placed, beautifully modeled finger cast! It should be the new trend to Fall 2011. I foresee Missoni patterns ;)
But in all seriousness, what a street-dapper, undefinably aged Tokyo man!
August 30, 2011 at 4:47 am
A fantastic guy. Proves to us that you can always be young, cool, and look great.
August 30, 2011 at 4:50 am
At this age, i would like to be just as cool as this man. The Cap Rocks, the sneakers are off the hook and you can feel he’s happy and stress free!! Roll on
August 30, 2011 at 5:21 am
Bello il dettaglio verde richiamo scarpa ruote dello skate!

August 30, 2011 at 8:05 am
I like so much the outfit.
August 30, 2011 at 8:30 am
Hm, I don’t like this. Although, this is actually the first outfit you’ve posted where I can’t find anything I like, so at least that’s good..
August 30, 2011 at 8:43 am
Seriously, Scott, TokYo! :-) I don’t think you see people his age on skateboards in this country! Very cool look! Do you think he coordinated color on his shoes with the color of the wheels on his board? :-)

Interesting guy. He’s dressed so young, but his face looks old. Seems like he’s keeping the energy young with the skate boarding.

A cool contrast:
attire and attitude
We can see
a nice example of
and agile body.
August 30, 2011 at 12:30 pm
I love that he is older but still young inside. I don’t think that people as they age have to fade away into oblivion style wise, but it’s what I see every day.
Great photo xxxx
August 30, 2011 at 12:32 pm
Whatever they do they do it different. Nice to see someone conceivably my age readying for a blast.

Both the pants and the sneakers are fabulous!
And grey hair & good posture are, of course, always the best accessories.
August 30, 2011 at 3:04 pm
Bet his Japan’s Tony Hawk senior version.
