how cute, adore the pumps
February 7, 2008 at 9:26 am
i love her hair, the grey mini, the pumps, the tights, the popped collar of her jacket, but above all, her sweater, which she is wearing almost as a dress, which matches her hair and pulls everything together. she is so cute, too…without make up, she looks about 14.
February 7, 2008 at 9:27 am
niiiceI like her simplicity ..
February 7, 2008 at 9:30 am
This is the look I aspire to…a chic urban nomad. Lovely!
February 7, 2008 at 9:43 am
How adorable is her twenties bob and that cheeky smile?!
in my opinion
February 7, 2008 at 9:45 am
True. Adorable she is. Very strange yet very charming mix of sweater, skirt and pumps.
February 7, 2008 at 9:57 am
Adorable. Is that an Alpaca sweater?
February 7, 2008 at 10:04 am
the same haircut than Mireille Mathieu oh my gods !!!
February 7, 2008 at 10:07 am
Where the heck do I find tights that opaque?
I wish you had that shopping guide scheduled for April 07 up!
February 7, 2008 at 10:08 am
yep, she’s adorable.with the haircut, the leggings and the cute shoes.u go girl
February 7, 2008 at 10:15 am
i TOTALLY agree. LOVE the shoes.
February 7, 2008 at 10:21 am
Very cute, how the pumps match the color of the skirt, nice, love the gray against the black. Detail on sweater breaks it up nicely.
February 7, 2008 at 10:25 am
yesterday was truly a february weather treat and i also took the opportunity to go short with tights. love her hair as well.
February 7, 2008 at 10:38 am
From the front the shoes look like an amazing pair that I have from Acne jeans. They are from last s/s collection. The material is denim, with geometric heel with grey suede at the bottom. I wonder if these are the same? If so, great taste :-)
February 7, 2008 at 10:43 am
She has that kind of face where you can’t tell if she’s 22 or 42. Beautiful. I’ve been wondering when you were gonna take advantage of all these wet side walks around here.
February 7, 2008 at 10:55 am
Another one of those. “God I miss NY!” shots. This is a perfect shot of a perfect girl, in a perfect city.Very adorable
February 7, 2008 at 11:09 am
such a lovely ensemble… chic, comfy, sophisticated and yet down to earth. beautiful combination of colour / texture. also very much like the way the ground adds an almost tactile quality of material.
February 7, 2008 at 11:13 am
so cute! Great hair especially.
February 7, 2008 at 11:27 am
she’s warm and cozy and cute all rolled into one.
February 7, 2008 at 11:29 am
the panel of muted tones (sweater, skirt) framed by black, in turn framed by the wonderful colours and textures of the wet concrete- this photo is so beautiful! what a lucky person. my eye is drawn repeatedly to the line of her ankle and calf against the bright spot on the concrete…
February 7, 2008 at 11:31 am
perfection, the fall shows seem to be going in a superficial direction, but here the fabrics are more natural and soft. Her hair cut is sofisticated yet (paired with her eyerows) seem naturally untamed. Love the sweater (faded dusty rose and black!) and proportions. Also like the grain on the concrete below her, it echoes her refined and natural beauty.

The northern and southern hemisphere in one look. I love it.
February 7, 2008 at 12:18 pm
Oh, this is so me!! Unbelieveable! So I really don’t have to worry that this hair is making my face way too big… Kisses, T.

February 7, 2008 at 12:29 pm
February 7, 2008 at 12:32 pm
cute. love the V-neck sweater.
February 7, 2008 at 12:39 pm
I love the juxtaposition of her look. The rugged alpaca sweater and oversized men’s jacket against the dainty mini and pumps. Even the angelic shape of her face and softness of her bobbed hair seem to belie the mischievous twinkle in her eye. This girl is a force to be reckoned with I bet!
Love the texture in this picture, the different fabrics on her clothes and shoes, the blur of the background, the grooves on the street. Very nice. She is great as well, love the confidence and the style.
February 7, 2008 at 12:44 pm
The look is very good. I think it helps to enhance the uniqueness in her. She looks naturaly beautiful and confident.
February 7, 2008 at 12:52 pm
I love her haircut- It goes well with her face.
February 7, 2008 at 12:57 pm
I like her way of mixing sage, tan, and black…it works well and it looks clean.
February 7, 2008 at 1:19 pm
Her cute bob and expression are what makes this adorable. Not so sure I’m all that into her sweater…
February 7, 2008 at 1:22 pm
Nice soft shades with sharp black… The grey shoes are perfect.
February 7, 2008 at 1:40 pm
le charmant petit chou…
February 7, 2008 at 1:46 pm
i only like her skirt and shoes.
when you only look at the small version of the picture, it looks like she’s standing on a wooden floor!
February 7, 2008 at 1:47 pm
I have been looking at your site for a couple of years now and never commented….but she is the goods.
February 7, 2008 at 2:07 pm
how old is she?
February 7, 2008 at 2:08 pm
The pumps are fantastic and I love the wheat and charcoal combination.
Of course, I think these proportions really only work on a very thin woman.
She’s adorable: the kind of ebullient girl you want to spend all day sipping coffee with.
February 7, 2008 at 2:14 pm
She looks so cute…love the youthful ease of her look.
Love the bulk of the coat with the sleek black tights…but what’s she wearing under the sweater?
February 7, 2008 at 2:18 pm
This is a great way to wear a funky sweater! It kind of dresses it up without trying to be too formal.
February 7, 2008 at 2:19 pm
We need more cute, and this is the perfect balance of cute, fashionable, and sexy (Helps to have great legs)
February 7, 2008 at 2:21 pm
I love everything on her: page boy hair, mini skirt, long sweater, legs and smile. The wet asphalt seems to join my feelings.
February 7, 2008 at 2:22 pm
love the proportion of her outfit.
February 7, 2008 at 2:29 pm
Oh, love love love! The hair, the coat, the stance. What a cutie.
February 7, 2008 at 2:36 pm
the outfit works but her face it is abs lovely – really fresh lights up the photo!
February 7, 2008 at 2:41 pm
I enjoy wearing heels, but find that taking public transportation and do a lot of city walking in rainy Seattle. I’ve always wondered if these stylish women really suffer for beauty, or have tips for us mere mortals on to make wearing stylish heels a reality?
I enjoy your insight and thoughtful observations.
February 7, 2008 at 2:48 pm
i like it but i think it could have worked better with different shoes
February 7, 2008 at 2:59 pm
I love her shoes.
February 7, 2008 at 3:01 pm
Cool, very natural.I like hint of grey in the dress that matches the grey with her shoes.
perfection! lengths, layers, colors are all just right.
February 7, 2008 at 3:08 pm
who thinks the bob is coming back? will it take over long hair? your thoughts?
February 7, 2008 at 3:11 pm
A modern Holly Golightly – sweet!
February 7, 2008 at 3:56 pm
I love this one.
It’s nice to see people who appear so comfortable with themselves and their style.
February 7, 2008 at 4:01 pm
I want to put her in my pocket! Perfect.
February 7, 2008 at 4:08 pm
Completely adorable. I love the Amelie hair, and those shoes… le sigh.
February 7, 2008 at 4:16 pm
How old is she? Kind of looks like Ellen Page.
February 7, 2008 at 4:29 pm

February 7, 2008 at 4:36 pm

February 7, 2008 at 4:42 pm
I love the mixed colors
February 7, 2008 at 4:48 pm

Perfect placement of the Peruvian pullover.
February 7, 2008 at 5:10 pm

February 7, 2008 at 5:12 pm
great way of wearing a bariloche sweater, specially creative, and of course, charming.
February 7, 2008 at 5:17 pm
finally a cowichan sweater that doesn’t look like it belongs to a hippie.
February 7, 2008 at 5:21 pm
Wish my childhood “fashion” photos looked like this. Love the outfit… it’s current and age appropriate!
February 7, 2008 at 5:33 pm
She’s so cute, she looks like Alexa Chung especially with the fringe.
February 7, 2008 at 5:42 pm
February 7, 2008 at 5:57 pm
She’s wearing a sweater under that coat!

February 7, 2008 at 6:22 pm
i’ve been trying to find meself an artic sweater. now after this, i’m gonna look harder.
February 7, 2008 at 6:34 pm
I never thought I’d see anybody in NYC wearing a Cowichan sweater, and I never thought it would be considered “chic” lol
February 7, 2008 at 6:35 pm
in a visit to venice a couple of winters ago i likened the experience of walking the narrow streets and the ‘canyon’ formed by the buildings framing the sky above and/or canale and pavement below to a small-scaled version of the same manhattan phenomenon, in this case sky and pavement [especially in the financial district where i used to live]. but a long tangent…
i love the reflection of sky behind the girls left leg. i miss NYC.
February 7, 2008 at 7:49 pm
Adorable says it all :]
February 7, 2008 at 9:52 pm
I love the whole look, especially the coat. Her haircut is perfect.
February 7, 2008 at 11:16 pm
Cute, simple, and warm, yet not boring in the slightest! Loving the popped collar.
February 7, 2008 at 11:38 pm
love the haircut!
February 8, 2008 at 12:31 am
Even Morty likes her look.
And I do too.
February 8, 2008 at 12:33 am
An 10:07 You should try Wolford 80 denier tights. They look as opaque as the one the girl has in the picture.
February 8, 2008 at 2:47 am
She is chic and well-dressed without taking herself too seriously. A really inspiring picture.
February 8, 2008 at 3:22 am
Lovely – young and cute without looking too hip or pretentious.
February 8, 2008 at 3:41 am
love egg-shape. love “supa-cute” haircut and love legs. my look!
February 8, 2008 at 4:03 am
even more than the outfit, i love the photograph – how the subject is between two buildings, the details of the cards and construction stuff on either side, the grittiness of the pavement, and the lines that direct the eye to the depth of hte photo… and the strong line that veers off to the right. well done!
February 8, 2008 at 5:15 am
ahhh, one of my favorites so far… she gets it.
February 8, 2008 at 8:51 am
Awesome, love the cowichan style sweater, oversized is always good. I’ve yet to tire of these bobs, they’re everywhere but I LOVE ‘em. Style-wsie, def see the A.Chung similarity.
February 8, 2008 at 10:59 am
Adorable. I love the grey pumps. Anyone know what tights they are? I love the rich opaque matte look.
February 8, 2008 at 11:31 am
i love it, but seems like there’s a trend of andean-ish pattern sweaters…
February 8, 2008 at 11:47 am
Oh no. Took a second look at the picture. She has ruined her sweater by pulling out the sleeves and rolling them over the sleeves of her coat. That´s the way with young people. They just don´t care. Wear and throw away. That´s how it seems to me.
February 8, 2008 at 1:08 pm
February 8, 2008 at 1:47 pm
February 8, 2008 at 3:02 pm
I said the same thing when I commented yesterday (even though my comment is nowhere to be seen today – ?!!)
If you only look at the bottom half of the photograph it looks like she’s a tiny character in a stop motion world as if she’s standing on a wooden table!
February 8, 2008 at 4:36 pm
Those shoes with those tights…terrific!
Love her expression!
February 8, 2008 at 9:03 pm
she looks like a cute fashionable mushroom.
February 8, 2008 at 11:02 pm
February 8, 2008 at 11:06 pm
Oh yeah…….she’s got it. Whether you like the sweater or not, this girl has style. The real deal.
February 9, 2008 at 5:11 am
I love the childish bob.The Bolivian (or Peruvian?) sweater could only look so chic on her under a shapeless peacoat like that.Love the facial expression and playfulness.
February 9, 2008 at 8:57 am
u look great,Katie-love, Dad
February 9, 2008 at 10:03 am
i love how the sleeves are slightly pulled out…she’s look so effortless and chic.and i agree..she totally gets it
February 9, 2008 at 10:27 am
Mi piace molto il suo modo di porsi davanti all’obiettivo! Mi ricorda Charlize Theron in Sweet November! In English: She’s really nice, and in my opinion she look like Charlize Theron in Sweet November

February 14, 2008 at 4:23 pm

February 16, 2008 at 11:00 am
These jumpers (yes jumpers in Ireland) are the kind of thing you wear again and again, lovely to see them having a chic outing on this stylish girl!
February 16, 2008 at 11:27 am
Pullover del Altiplano Boliviano, muy buena idea. Parece de alpaca.Peinado genial
February 16, 2008 at 11:29 am
Tenes razon Josefina, parece de de nuestro norte argentino, o al menos del altiplano boliviano. Saludos. Silvia.
February 16, 2008 at 7:32 pm

a girl dreaming of a wild, dangerous life tinged with anarchy
February 17, 2008 at 12:13 pm
i love her. i really want my hair like this but have been advised against it as i would look about 12. the coat is gorgeous.
February 22, 2008 at 6:00 am
Exactly the look I aspire to. Fun, cute, confident and a bit of sexy.
I just found this blog and I love it. For a girl in small town Germany, this is exactly the inspiration I needed.
