Those pants are an absolute work of art, but the shirt is awkward and the shoes don’t flow with the rest of the getup.
Though it seems as if it would be difficult to find anything that could suitably compliment the pants, and much kudos for the attempt and bravery, I don’t think this fits together well.
It’s Heaven Tanudiredja, he designs/makes jewellery. Anna Wintour walked passed him and said ‘wow, chique’ and then suddenly all the photographers made pictures of him, haha. He does look really cool, I want the sweater. And I love the way he incorporated the Dries pants (which is meant for women) in this outfit. It doesn’t look feminine at all on him.
BTW, I would also loovvee to see more guys that can pull off women’s clothes. I’ve also seen this picture (made by you) of a guy wearing this grey furr coat on style.com. That one was also amazing.
the adventurousness of the outfit is refreshing, but the shapes are unflattering and just don’t speak to me. all i’m getting are box shapes without the details to make it anything but soupy. perhaps this would have been better as a moving shot, and the pants could show what they’re made of so-to-speak, and add the cheeky elegance they hint at.
This is gorgeous, form, fluidity, print, colour, references, but in my opinion probably works so well and seems wearable because he’s asian. It is beautiful.
This is a perfect example of the completely versatile ensemble… this would work on man, woman, child, senior, short, tall, etc. Not to mention his face is giving a vibe like “What’s the big deal? I came out of the womb looking like this”
realistic? No. I can see no task in real life that would call for this outfit. Awesome? YES. I love it. even down to the stray hair aiming to catch up to the rest of his swept bangs.
the cardigan is nice, i love the v-neck form. i think it works with those extraordinary trousers, but what definately doesn’t work are the shoes. the foto itself is really great!
I like the cardigan too. And though the shoes could be hmmm… better … wow I love this. It’s true about his slightly F U ish. “What. What are you looking at? What sheep you all are” expression being very sexy [to me, FYI a straight female].
Obviously it could be Auntie’s loungewear, as some have said. But I get a Johnny Depp vibe. Like, “I wear it because I can – and I CAN simply by virtue of the fact that I DO”. Some womens’ garments worn by men look feminine or shout genderbender. But here, even though it’s floral, it reads to me as more of a tribal/ethnic.
In the ’60s I remember my father wearing floral-patterned shirts, and ties with pink and orange daisies – and to his engineering job! So what happened? Today are flowers really limited only to those very secure in their masculinity?
And yes, his race makes the whole thing look more Eastern and natural, but I think the certain Nordic scruffbabe could rock it – maybe looking like an extra from Jesus Christ Superstar (which is certainly not everyone’s cup of tea – but it’s mine, so). Verdict? Yum.
I saw this guy in front of baccarat in paris few weeks a go !! he also wearing fully printed outfit that night from prada together with givenchy cape, and he look super amazing ! He look so much taller also, who is this guy ? so many photographer also taking picture of him that night’ and he just smile amazingly and relax go in to the restaurant’ … im in love !!
I have to say, I actually quite enjoy the shoes, in comparison to the rest of the outfit. Those puppies have been worn out! Whereas the gorgeous trousers and cardigan look comfortable but elegant, the shoes really bring the look to a human level.
Fantastic! It’s not everyone who can even think to wear this, never mind look flawless in it! I love this entire outfit and if those pants are really women’s, then this must be inspiration for some designer to make them for men.
