Quite chilly in Milan and Paris. The girl above and this man are both wearing scarfs or then it is just fashionable now.

I really love the way the blazer fits in the shoulders – creates a very clean line.

Can someone explain the French (or Parisian?) preference for somber colors? It always surprises me that chic so often means svelte, black, unobtrusive.
It’s Paris, for crying out loud. Douce France! Land of l’art pour l’Art! Géricault! Matisse!
I don’t mean any criticism, just curious. Is this a northern thing? A fusty relic of existentialisme? Do things differ on the Côte d’Azur?

Well, the pictures shows that one does not need to be so handsome to turn back heads a good outfit does the trick!

Great haircut. I like the french cuffs.I think he should tie his necktie so that the bottom of the necktie reaches the top of his belt buckle.

A bit boring to be honest.Maybe his pose doesn’t compliment his ensemble of dark blue enough, ah well.

I want a Karl Lagerfeld invitation!

I totally want to see that invitation more clearly…was it die cut? why is his name mirrored?
I just want it in general really but…I would like to see it too.

anonymous at 9:15 No, it doesn’t generally differ on the Cote d’azur (unless you consider white a departure from monochromatic dressing) because the chic there are all drawing their influences from the chic in Paris. Obviously, there are a few exceptions to this rule, but I always laugh when I see a french fashion mag talking about neon brights for spring/summer and I think…yeah right. Perso, I love the somber colors of French chic however. This guy has it figured out!

Very cool guy. Just the right details. I can tell style and dressing are a natural part of this guys life. I’m sure he effortlessly moves in and out of some pretty cool looks on a daily basis. Just a guess.Nice silhouette and length on the jacket.

I am in love! What sort of conversations could one have with this man? The intelligence suggested by those wonderfully knowing eyes zaps out from the page. Oh..and I do like what he is wearing, very chic.

I like how everything is very subtly chic… his clothing, his hair, the karl lagerfeld invitation, the eiffel tour, everything, without being ostentatious.

Love this! Love it! Perfectly fitted, crisp shoulders, with just the hint of a thicker scarf to shake things up a bit. Perfect bit of white cuff peeking out. Classic!

sart, i’m also interested in knowing if the image is reversed, and/or seeing a blow-up of the card in his hand..
as for the fashion, i love how his pocket square is (almost) the same color as his coat, so you might not even notice it if it wasn’t for the pattern

Simply gorgeous! The color of his jacket matches the color of his scarf so good. Simple and very clean, Love it!!!

I like the suit and the haircut, but the scarf does not do it for me. I don’t know why, but I find this method of knotting a scarf creates a look that is unattractive and distracting.
