Okay Sean Connery, get out of the way! I am in love, and leaving for Florence as soon as possible. Wow, this man is absolutely gorgeous from is flowing silvered locks and beard to his classic shades. Love the white from head to foot. White espadrilles? How many MEN can pull this off and not go in the other direction? I'm counting maybe on one hand and definitely not in the USA. Casual elegance to the max!
I love white on white for summer, it never tires for me. His white espadrilles especially are a nice touch. When men make an effort with their footwear, I know the rest is going to look good too.
"Suffice it to say that black and white are also colors… for their simultaneous contrast is as striking as that of green and red, for instance." (Vincent van Gogh)
I've always believed in age and how it weighs on style (or in this man's case, lightens it)…It's beautiful. I love the easy elegance and the brave all-white of the look. I'm 20 and I couldn't pull this off. I'd be very afraid. And this explains why age–for me–plays an important role in style. This is just perfect.
Wow! Please tell me this wasn't staged… that you found someone being this fabulous on their own accord. Even if it is a pose, it's still amazing. We can't even see most of his face but it has so much expression in just the lips and the forehead. Oh summer come quickly! And props to the photographer, as always.
Ah, he's wearing espadrilles. Today was a beautiful day in Amsterdam, and it made me wear my beloved espadrilles for the first time this year. It's finally summer, boys and girls. :)
This is a gorgeous man! Actually any man who can wear all white with that much elegance is gorgeous. Even the beard works… I've got to get me one of them tans.
If you didn't tell us this was taken in Florence, I might have been able to guess it just by looking at this guy, leaning against that stone wall. I wish people in America looked like this…
Like the photo and the style. However, white pants are impractical. They show everything. A natural linen or slightly tan cotton trouser will hide some dirt. You'll be able to wear them at least twice before you'll have to wash them.
White hot silver fox! Simple, elegant. I envy those with olive skin who can wear just white; us celtic types can't get away with it, instead of looking chic we look ill!
He is wonderful, his body is so relaxationed,I want to be beside him and to rest. The sun and this man / absolutly perfect / – paradise. … and Italy. Dream.I want to be there.
Growing up in Hawaii, we wore white T-shirts or white Keds or white shorts… but never all at once. One day, when I was a teen, I saw a suntanned blonde tourist (another teen girl) dressed all in white, head to toe. I thought she looked fantastic, straight out of Seventeen magazine.
But could I have tried that to high school? No way! An all-white get-up would've looked idiotic among the locals.
You need the right context to pull off the all-white look (plus a tan).
….and we're back! finally! I was heart sick with the clownishness of japan (it doesn't take "style" to dress like a clown), the"any ole' thing'll do" of OZ..and now the cowboys of russia..oy vey!
and then, and then…sigh, here he is in all his italian dna, in white espedrilles! Fellow Sarters, kids…it's the rich, wrinkled fabric, the almost "who cares" 'tude (even if it was the stylists')..as he rolled out of bed, grabed what was on the floor and a smoke, and headed for his caffe. i've been sooo jonesin' for al bazar, gino, the "annas", giovanna, the Grace kelly in milano…the bike boys, the lovely Milanese lady with "sparkle". Poor Sart…you travel/work so hard for us..and all i could think on this romp was.."lordy, will the Italians ever Back"??? there is a god, and He's wearing wrinkled whites and espadrilles in Firenze!
Is this a real person living now? Hahaha. Hard to believe someone would dress this chic. He looks like a modern Cary Grant, to me. And when you investigate what he is wearing it looks as comfortable as the casual/sloppy clothes most people wear today but so much more appropriate. Inspiring.
He looks like he has wealth of knowledge about the world. I wouldn't mind sharing conversations with him until the sun came up the following day over a good bottle of wine. His wrinkles are testaments of experience. YES! YES! YES! Tx Sir Sartorialist
Certain age does not very often go with being cool & steady & easy at the same time. On the other side of scale there is very often a "stiff" glamour of wearing well done suits…
white looks so hot in him. and yeah, he seems so relax like he doesn't give a dam* about anything. :P i don't know why, but the scribbled "DIE" on the wall gives me an impression of life after death or something on that concept. don't mind me. haha.
thanks for great shot! and i do appreciate the look of this age men, that radiates confidence… timeless elegance.. i'm 50 now, and i do wear all white now, and as i did when i was 20… pure classic..
Love that it also says, "die" right behind his head. Kinda like that is what he would say should you tell him how to change who he is. Perfect placement.
i love this! years ago i worked with a guy who lived in west london, worked in central london, & used public transport in between the two – on the days when he wore white he would arrive at work 7.30 (9am start) in order to minimize the possibility of his outfit getting dirty on the way through contact with other people..
I just love the ease…the ancient bricks at his back and the white glare, the salt&pepper very nicely shaped beard…funny though that word "DIE…" behind his head – what was the whole word?
I love this. It's….dirty but clean. Relaxed but refined. Also, I love his short socks/sockless-ness. After having my band teacher drill into us the inportance of long, color-correct dress socks, I like the reveal of this. It's emphasizes the relaxation.
This is why I love being a 'Fiorentina'. Gorgeous people like this live in my city… This man is beautiful, his face tells a million stories, his posture as well, but a totally different one…

Are we sure this isn't the XX beer guy? You know…."The most interesting man in the world."

Isn't this "The Most Interesting Man In The World" from the Dos Equis commercials?

This could be a cover for a Cigar Aficionado issue. The contrast in the shot with the brick is stellar.

I love this. It's….dirty but clean. Relaxed but refined. Also, I love his short socks/sockless-ness. After having my band teacher drill into us the inportance of long, color-correct dress socks, I like the reveal of this. It's emphasizes the relaxation.
Ankle love.

This is why I love being a 'Fiorentina'. Gorgeous people like this live in my city… This man is beautiful, his face tells a million stories, his posture as well, but a totally different one…
