You’ve featured this classy man before I believe. He works it – subtle but not too subtle.
This is a nice look for men and women (those who like to look a bit androgynous) and I’m gonna do my own variation with my old Theory pin striped slacks, Gap cotton shirt and Ed Hardy scarf. Aaaahh, how I love finding new ways to pair old stuff.
ooooh *shivers*. everything about this is amazing. a really great mix of textures and his accessories, (watch, necklace) are spot on. for me this man is representing whats so awesome about asian style.
I love that the pants could be so formal but the shirt breaks it down – loose but NOT baggy, is it linen? The addition of the scarf just seals the deal.
Chinese migrant worker? Trying getting some more culture into you “Decreasing” Ignorance. This dude looks completely urban and contemporary, and if you can’t help but see derogatory archetypes then perhaps you should browse this blog just a little bit longer.
Now who knows where one can find such an awesome scarf?
Very effective summer scarfing technique. This look is also functional here in London, where we rarely break through the 25C (77F) temperature level even in August.
I’m glad to see how the linen scarf works. I’m contemplating buying (ordering) one so don’t have the luxury of trying it first. This looks good with his shirt and the pants are a nice warm contrast.
Well done! I’m new to this blog and I must say I miss the east coast. I was in Manhattan last summer and was delighted to see so many people with their own sense of style; men who actually know how a suit is supposed to fit and ladies dressed like ladies, not like Brittany Spears! I live in L.A. where it’s $300 jeans and $100 t-shirts everyday…. everywhere! This gentleman looks as if he never makes an uninspired move.
So Sart. . . Are you planning on flying to Beijing to check out some hardcore sportswear attire? You totally should, I know I would if I were you. Please do, this only happens once every 4 years! Bye
wow!!! you blog is huge with lots of comments, i am sure you have put a great effort in it since 2005, and you are the special ones who mainly focus on menswear~ your blog would be more attractive if you add some description on the reason you pick the look or how you feel about the outfit… i am also looking forward for more different style of menswear, something more causal…
can you make some comments on my blog also? i would like to hear from a popular blogger^^

this scarf is great, it completes his outfit. the rolled sleeves add to that friday “cas” look, and the watch is an excellent touch.

It looks like his wedding ring is on his necklace. I love that. I would love for my husband to wear his ring on his neck. close to his heart.

Love it. I get a real Michael Stipe vibe from it — maybe it’s his stance and the way his clothes hang so effortlessly.

The fit of the shirt and pants are perfect in themselves. The combo is good even without the scarf.
