I think the look is pleasant to most of us as she follows proportions that Chanel has been using for some time now, even if apparently none of her pieces are by them. The slim belt, the short skirt/shorts, the cardigan and sleeveless shirt, and the purse, obviously. I think this is a look based on proportions, and that’s what makes it a winner. Jorge from W Palm Beach
What struck me most is that this looks like an outfit one might see on a runway and think, “Oh if only someone had the gutso to wear this in everyday life!” And here this beautiful woman has gone and done it.
I didn’t notice that the shorts were leopard print until I did a close up. What a great surprise; I love them!
I really like that she really seems to have individually selected each and every piece. Not only that, but the shirt, vest, shorts, bag, belt, necklace, socks each stand out in their own right and aren’t part of the standard, matchy-matchy outfits that you see people wear once a week, every week (you know, like the man that wears the same black pants with the same blue button-down every. single. Monday.). Basically, I love this because you will never see this outfit pre-put-together for you on a mannequin. There was clearly some thought behind this.
Cute! Not every one can pull of this look and seem so comfortable in their individuality, so I applaud her for that. Personally, I almost feel like she’s trying too hard. There’s too much going on, I’m not crazy about it.
well, she seems to be very confident and her smile belies a good sense of humor about herself. anything worn with this ebullience is going to come of with a certain measure of success.
that said, i absolutely hate this outfit! it seems i’m the only person not into it…but this is simply not stylish. or age appropriate. or appealing in that special ‘frisson-of-sartorialist-posting-awe’ way i often feel when perusing the blog. it just looks like an editor with a closet full of freebies closed her eyes, stuck her hands into the mix, and pulled out a random assortment of questionable items. then wore them. all. at the same time.
also, since i’m already the naysayer of today (i’m sorry guys!!!)…could the Rio photos possibly bore me any more? those pics literally take all the excitement i’ve always imagined surrounding Rio and suck the air out of it. is Rio populated exclusively by bored-looking socialites and beach dudes? i doubt it. nothing inventive shown. nothing worn with passionate intensity. not even a single outfit that doesn’t look like a sad in-store display at Barney’s circa 2005. worse yet, they almost evoke (gasp) CALYPSO circa 2005. is that inspiring to ANYONE?!?!
again, i’m so sorry…i usually love the sart’s eye but these past couple of weeks have been ultra disappointing!
She is very genki (upbeat). She combines a Tokyo look (high socks or stockings with a short skirt) -but makes it look classy and playful rather than cheap like you see in Shibuya. This is really nice to see as she combines two cultures in a high end way. Would have like to see what shoes she was wearing
love, love, love!!!!!!!!!! this woman has amazing style and fine taste in off-beat luxury goods. im sure that outfit has got a hefty price tag but her demeanor shows shes not pretentious or seeking a certain level of status, she just seems to be having fun with it all!
i love how there is something kind of masculine and sporty about this but at the same time its still girly.
one of the most interesting mixes on here in a long time!
This is a lot of fun! She looks happy and I love her stance here. The shorts + socks look on her is sporty and cute rather than trashy (which is how I’d imagine thigh-highs and leopard-print shorts if I hadn’t seen it here!). Stephanie
This is so beyond cute! I love the mix & match patterns, stockings and bag. Her personality shines through her face so well that I want to get to be friends with her. You may give her my name if you see her again!

I LOVE the long socks! Sock heights outside of knee high/crew are rare to see and just excellent.
The super subdued leopard pattern on her shorts is way better than the typical bold and loud animal prints I see.
