What a great neckline. The cut and the way she wears the dress prevent it from being too prissy…which light-colored lace so frequently is. Love the shoes, too, and her natural-looking hair. Stephanie
The lace of the dress is amazing! Could also work as a just-a-little-bit-romantic wedding dress in a civil marriage with only a few best friends around :-)
Yes…. before another “she is not a real person…” Astrid (a former full time model, now a photographer -like our dear sart) was in Rio working as a Vogue´s (style.com) blogger.
Not a brazilian, but a Puerto Rican (with a more glamorous job than yours.. but a working girl anyway)
PD/ask Scott how easy is to “work abroad, and look good…”
Sart, will you please tell people that you don’t necessarily post images that are from RIGHT NOW – I’m so sick of hearing people try to call you out on “This is more spring than fall”, or saying, “God, she must be FREEZING, it’s cold in ny right now” Just simply put a small note with the date it was taken…that would solve the problem.
I too love this dress and agree that she is beautiful BUT i dont think she adds anything to this dress, style wise… its just a lovely piece that even someone lacking any style at all could pick out and put on and look absolutely ravishing in i prefer seeing unique, cleverly styled outfits on the sartorialist
She’s really beautiful and all, but if she isn’t the bride I’m not into this. The shoes are so predictable and I don’t go for the purse with the dress. There is nothing wonderfully unexpected here and that makes it disappointing to me. To be memorable, there needs to be something a little “off”. And speaking for myself, I don’t care who she is.
I love Astrid Munoz, and this photo is a vision. But the [only, or] best photos of Rio style are of models currently in Rio for the recent fashion shows. I guess there are only so many non-thonged girls to photograph.
Pretty, but there is something about lace which always strikes me as a bit precious. Not sure what exactly, but this is a good example of it. Perhaps it’s the expensive-doll effect?
the delicacy of the dress stands comfortably, though oddly, against her rich hot-blooded beauty. I would’ve thought something more bold, vibrant, loose-fitting, but yet the choice says a lot about her doesn’t it?
This dress is just perfect. And, for the ones who have doubts about it – yes, everyone is beautiful in Brazil. We are lovely, sorry to sound smug, but we can´t help it! :)’
Dear sart, it’s not fashion magazine that sells me fashion and make me broke, it’s you! I can’t live a day without your blog and i am always inspired. But i know, for the leather jacket, you are the one to blame. :)
I very much love the shoes. Pink Satin, remind me so much of a pair of my great-grandmothers. All the women of my family wear the same size shoe, so I would put them on as a teenage girl and dream of when I could actually such a beautiful shoe in real life. Maybe when I get married!
Sorry but… This have nothing of the informality of the streets… and absolutely nothing about the informality of the Rio! This high hells at this place??? Impossible !!!!
