simultaneously grungy chic sitting on the fence, literally speaking i adore the black on black with white polka dot detail and the grey cowl neck under a motorcycle jacket. she knows how to mix textures, shapes and forms
What?! this is amazing.. not only from a fashion point of view, but artistically! The black and white horizontal lines painted on the concrete slap, and her black and white ensemble…and yeah, it does look like she’s stopping traffic. Genius. I love it. I’m curious? Do you give your subjects pose ideas or do they come up with them on their own? I’m diggin this one.
My favorite shot of late! First of all, she is gorgeous. But what I really love is the combination of the polka dots, the grommets on her shoes, the stripes on the wall, and the zig-zags of her legs.
I love how her right arm and left leg are at the same angle as the painted chevrons, and her right leg is at right angles to that. The chevron theme (look at the set of her lips, too) fits in nicely with the knit details on her scarf, and the rounded details on her jacket echo the automobiles (particularly the side mirrors) and the cupola on the building in the background, and those contrast nicely with the sharp angles of the chevrons.
What’s not to love? Beautiful girl, beautiful outfit, and beautiful setting–the planets must have aligned just right for you to have taken such a perfect shot.
I particularly like that her outfit is cohesive but not boring. I was trying to figure out what all the separate pieces are and got as far as sweater, jacket, skirt, before I realized there were a few extra textures and zippers in the mix. Then I gave up and decided that this works just because it WORKS.
I also have to add 3 things about the girl: 1. This is why I would never say leggings don’t look good on ANYONE. Once in a blue moon, the perfect girl and the perfect outfit do come along. 2. The pose is wonderful. So many others would look awkward and gangly with those long limbs, but she looks quite graceful. 3. I love that some of the most striking faces on this blog are wearing what appears to be absolutely no make up.
it’s some wild svelte grace that allows her to wear those black leggings without making her skinny limbs look spidery.
and that wide mouth. striking, unforgettable. without it, her face would look extremely pretty in a conventional way. although such a mouth would never let her be pretty, it makes her irreplaceable.
That is spot on. The leather jacket, the soft knitted cowl neck and the tulle under the skirt all remind me of Madonna in Desperately Seeking Susan. But this girl, with the sexy pout, innocent knock knee pose and the body of a model takes even the powerhouse attitude of Madonna to a new level. Bravo.
what does this shot great for me, is the urban seat, that black and white concrete, make an obvious but perfect spot for the photo. And the jacket it’s just great.
Put together beautifully, and her own unique way. It could be toned down amazingly just by changing skirts. Straight from work to play… now you’re talking!
the grey cowl grounds it and keeps it from looking too cheap. love the flirty edges of everything. shoes big at ankles, skirt flitting out, cowl coming down, lapel flying outward. lots of angles. love it.

Is that left shoe unlaced? Are those sneaker heels, or just strategically posed flats?
I don’t think I like the tutu thing, but I can’t tell while she’s sitting down.

I don’t think it matters. Getting dressed is about understanding your body and who you are, then playing up your assets. She looks beautiful.
