I like his short scarf and the way he’s knotted it. The coat with the velvet collar reminds me of that British stalwart, the covert coat, made of khaki twill; a rare sight these days, more’s the pity.
I can live without the shades, but the tailoring is perfect. the orange is perfect. Love the detail at the end of the sleeve(perfect length). another home-run.
The coat is beautifully cut but I don’t really like anything else he has going on. I think it’s particularly the glasses which are pushing me away. Are those rhinestones?
He looks great. I like the velvet collar, and the covered placket (if that’s the correct term) is a nice touch and very appropriate for this coat. Everything else is equally sharp. Of course we want to see the shoes! Hope you had (and have) a great holiday. Welcome back!
hey it’s simba! he’s such a lad about town and a perfect gentleman. his style suits his charming and urbane personality. somebody get him a modelling contract quick!
I truly love your recent photos of classically dressed African Americans. It is so refreshing to see their sense of style versus the stereotypical ‘hip hop’ look. I, for one, aspire to emulate the classical elegance depicted in this shot. Great photo. Please keep it up.
Beautiful! It’s strange, I remember the first pic you had of this gentleman so vividly: he was the one with white ipod headphones on and even then he looked smashing, as does he now. So happy to have great men’s style coming back to the blog. Bodes well for what’s to come from Pitti, I hope.
I am less than wild about his sunglasses and phone. I am completely wild about the rest of it. I do wish we could see his shoes, but I can hear them tock tock tock on the sidewalk – as crisply as he cuts through a chilly day. he and Mory are the unofficial ambassadors of orange! It is so beautiful with their skin.
Flawless look really..everything’s perfect…his 1/4 lenght coat could have been tailored for him i’m thinking…from my experience thats when garments fit the best, great shot too! props to the photographer..wouldve like to see his shoes and how are the bottoms, im guessing plain!
Where ever can I find such a beautiful scarf such as this? I’m going through an orange faze right now and I feel neckpieces add a nice little touch to my wardrobe. If anyone is able to help that would be greatly appreciated. Holla, keep it gangsta.
A dangerous-looking man (in a good way) dressed to inspire a lot of fantasies. Very nice. I especially like the size of the scarf. Though huge scarves are wonderful in theory, they can make the wearer look as if she or he has no head at all–just a peanut with hair.
I love Hermes orange, whether the scarf is H or not. The proportions are perfect, and oh my gosh, what a beautiful man… Thanks for brightening my days and helping me understand more about gentlemen’s clothes. Happy New Year and keep those fabulous photos coming!
Tangerine is a pure revival!! I’ve always think that scarfs and foulards for men are soo sooo into my closet, its better if we got Hermes, but if its not, anyway still works!
As previously noted he has been featured by Sart before. I found him on another fashion blog too. He is inspirational. Such a cool seemingly effortless style. Perhaps that the secret. Don’t try too hard. Keep things simple and cleanly tailored.
I like the touch of orange, however . . . I can’t figure out how that coat buttons up. The lapel looks like right over left, but the buttons looke like left over right.
everything anyone should look for in a coat; great detail, great length and great fit. im also impressed by the fact that he’s putting the pockets to use (not keeping them stitched). the orange fits in beautifully.

I’ll never ever ever be a fan of velvet collars on men, but the cut, colour and fit of that coat is absolutely immaculate…….i want one !!!
Dont like the conspicuous shades either, but the orange scarf is a wonderful subtle touch.
If he just lost the shades and that collar this would be such a killer look !!
