I like his short scarf and the way he’s knotted it. The coat with the velvet collar reminds me of that British stalwart, the covert coat, made of khaki twill; a rare sight these days, more’s the pity.

If only only my hubby would dress so well.

I truly love your recent photos of classically dressed African Americans. It is so refreshing to see their sense of style versus the stereotypical ‘hip hop’ look. I, for one, aspire to emulate the classical elegance depicted in this shot. Great photo. Please keep it up.

I am less than wild about his sunglasses and phone. I am completely wild about the rest of it. I do wish we could see his shoes, but I can hear them tock tock tock on the sidewalk – as crisply as he cuts through a chilly day. he and Mory are the unofficial ambassadors of orange! It is so beautiful with their skin.

I especially like the size of the scarf. Though huge scarves are wonderful in theory, they can make the wearer look as if she or he has no head at all–just a peanut with hair.

Ah, but such a coat requires the wearer to be thin. Otherwise the effect is ruined.

I like the touch of orange, however . . . I can’t figure out how that coat buttons up. The lapel looks like right over left, but the buttons looke like left over right.

Words cannot describe how exceptionally well the scarf goes with the coat. It brings the look from late 19th century London to New York, 2008.

I’ll never ever ever be a fan of velvet collars on men, but the cut, colour and fit of that coat is absolutely immaculate…….i want one !!!

Dont like the conspicuous shades either, but the orange scarf is a wonderful subtle touch.
