Wow…this is so simple it doesn't seem to be Sartorialist material. But I like the jeans how they're rolled up. And the wedgies are very summery. Is it getting hot in NYC already?
I wish I worked with women like this who can just throw something on and look great. Like everything here. Nothing to write home about, but it just fits. Same with the colors.
Everything about this photograph is lovely. I was actually taken back a bit. Was this posed or did you actually stumble upon her while she was in front of the building? Makes me want to stroll Mercer Street in my favorite blue dress(because I can't find straight leg jeans anywhere these days). One of your Beautiful Best!
Beautiful! I love how she matches with the facade- so gorgeous- and wedges again! am i sensing a theme for this week? she's not looking either- hmmmm… can't wait to see more pics!
Lovely shot. This picture works so well due to the line interactions. She is there, very much so, but due to the blending of color, her presence and slight curves are all the more captivating. Very nicely done.
Ooooh yeah, denim blue. Okay Scott…You win! Nice to see a denim blue that has gotten past the raw unwashed deep indigo that was all of last season's rage and rages(sic). Simply put, that's what jeans are for – just having on and being out there.
A neutral palette of blue and gray, hair folded up revealing slightly her neck and cheeks, pants folded up revealing slightly her ankle and feet, fingers draped over gray sleeve, gazing
it's the moment right before she turns your way to look at what is coming or staring in her direction. the same thing that she is doing staring at whatever has commanded her attention.
The slim leg cut of her jeans are great. Unfortunately the wedges(though not ugly, just not right for this look) break this continuity and make her feet look chunky. Heeled pumps or sandals would better compliment the proportions of this outfit.
I can't explain why, but I really like this picture. Maybe it's the complete naturalness of it, from her unassuming pose to the serendipitous way her clothes so beautifully match the blue background.
This is one of those pictures that isn't really about the fashion, but about capturing a mood. I like these moments when the blog shifts to art photography. Pretty as a painting :)
I just love how she isn't wearing the "skinny" jeans that are soooo overdone everywhere on the streets. Love this look. Elegant, sophisticated – of the moment without looking trendy. Gorgeous window shot too.
I appreciate how her style is appropriate for the work day. Her wedges aren't ridiculously high and her high waisted jeans flatter her figure without revealing a midriff. It is casual yet confidant and really shows a woman who knows how to dress for her body type.
Love! Love! Love! this! I like how the outfit comes together in a neat & clean manner, in addition to the feminine touch with the sandals <3! Yet again another fascinating perspective captured by you! Thanks so much for sharing! I admire your work and effort!
What I love about this photo is her stance. It looks as though she is pondering a work of art in a gallery… but she's clearly window shopping (unless she herself dressed the window & is examining it in a way as to judge whether she got it right or not!).
have you shot this girl at this very same location before, where she was sitting perched on that blue fire hydrant? very similar feel! the subject is chic, but the scenery makes the shot.
Such a shame (I think) when people 'dissect' a look by mentioning alternative footwear etc. I see the photos as a 'whole' and not 'pieces'. Am I wrong? She looks amazing just they way she is. Pensive, classic and yet so fresh and modern.
I love her classic but oh-so-cool silhouette: straight leg, high waisted jeans, relaxed grey jumper, and a messy bun. The wedges add a nice feminine touch and pull the whole outfit together.

Really great pair of jeans. Very high waisted, very straight through the leg, and a perfect roll up. Cute shoes too.

She's wearing APC wedges, standing outside the APC store.. she's probably a shop assistant there, which means her jeans are probably APC store also..

Such a shame (I think) when people 'dissect' a look by mentioning alternative footwear etc. I see the photos as a 'whole' and not 'pieces'. Am I wrong? She looks amazing just they way she is. Pensive, classic and yet so fresh and modern.

I keep seeing that store in the background of your photos. What is the name of that shop and where is it? Is it a furnishings store?

Was it the color of the building or the color of the clothing that caught your eye first? Nice photo.

Love the simplicity of the woman and the complexity of what she appears to be pondering….
Hummmmm…what is she thinking????

I love her classic but oh-so-cool silhouette: straight leg, high waisted jeans, relaxed grey jumper, and a messy bun. The wedges add a nice feminine touch and pull the whole outfit together.
