Wow – this photograph is striking. There is so much I love about it: the strong arms, the sheer dress, the black piping and under garments, the similarly-echoed gladiators. So cool.

I like this dress!
Wow! I love the intense contrast between her non nonsense attitude and the sheer, slightly frilly dress! (and the black piping!)

Both the shape and color z3
Lovely Gal & dress- I just think it's a bit too obvious. perhaps a lacey one piece undergarment would be would be more romantic & mysterious. love the dress!

Very cool photo. Love how strong she is and ow delicate this dress looks. But I'd never wear something like that.
The picture is beautiful, the clothing… not so much.

I like how you always come out with something so interesting that makes us thinking. You shake us time to time when we least expect it.
May 4, 2011 at 10:01 am
Wow. She IS a fashion statement. Strength + delicacy. Modesty + boldness. Black + pink. Solid color + fine line. The fine lines of the piping, black cord, and sandals–amazing.
the frilly dress and the woman's strength are so much in stark contrast – and yet so harmonic ! beautiful !
A dancer? That skirt is holding some amazing kind of twirl in its folds.

Amazing dress! It would better go with heels :)
May 4, 2011 at 10:50 am
Delicate and feminine in a Victorian Rose colored mesh, but she can still gracefully kick my ass.
May 4, 2011 at 10:57 am
Very ballerina-esk. It looks great on her.
You Are My Favorite
May 4, 2011 at 10:59 am
I like the skirt portion of this dress more than bodice for some reason. I'd also like to see some movement..the lightweight fabric and flutter hem begs for it. But this seems like an appropriate outfit for Atlanta, where it's so very hot
May 4, 2011 at 11:02 am
she needs a body guard!!!!!!!!! She would have a hard time on the subway!!
May 4, 2011 at 11:05 am
unless she rips of the dress and goes into a gymnastic routine…… she has great arms
May 4, 2011 at 11:07 am
Strong lines in a delicate fabric. The ratio of masculine/feminine is perfect and interplays without discord or tension. Beautiful.
May 4, 2011 at 11:09 am
I love how she is not wearing any makeup. It matches the sheerness of the dress. We can enjoy her beautiful skin, the strength of her character and facial features. A very natural, architectural and pure look.
May 4, 2011 at 11:10 am
very creative for where she goes to school……….her style will refine
May 4, 2011 at 11:19 am
I like the dress, but where can I get those arms?!

great dress and gladiator shoes :)
May 4, 2011 at 1:20 pm
I love it. The contrast of her strong build and the soft dress, the fleshy tones of pink and brown combined with the black underthings, trim of the dress, her hair, the headphone cord. And the way that cord curls down to the bottom of the dress, like it's naturally part of the outfit. And I love the mimicked lines in her shoes and the seams in her dress, and then again in the background with the wall and the wood slats.
I would love that dress in my own closet, but she rocks it better than I ever would!
I love her blog too!http://uncouturier.blogspot.com/
Excellent shot, Scott! Love the way you're representing southern style :)

the dress is lovely. *sP
May 4, 2011 at 1:32 pm
I am inspired and blown away by the individuality and creativity in the SCAD shots. Thank you!
May 4, 2011 at 1:47 pm
The dress is so beautiful, soft and delicate…
Thanks for the additional Atlanta photo. As everyone has said, this is a study in contrasts. Interesting.
May 4, 2011 at 1:56 pm
i love the sheer dress with black lingerie! so chic and that stance has such power behind it!

I've never seen sheer look so demure and innocent before. This dress is phenomenal!! More women could wear sheer if this is how it was presented on runway. Thank you, Scott for this picture!
May 4, 2011 at 3:31 pm
Meant to say not just her blog, her DESIGNS are fabulous. delicate, feminine and structural at the same time.
I'm finding that the Savannah shots are a welcome addition to the usual fashion cities. Thanks for the variety of perspectives and keep them coming!
May 4, 2011 at 3:52 pm
Gorgeous. Is that a walkman? How cool!!

May 4, 2011 at 6:25 pm
Scott, you seem to be a big fan of androgyny and it shows through the contrast in this photo: she's wearing such a feminine outfit with her brassiere showing through and yet her hair cut, toned arms, and facial expression is so boyish and she has such a strong presence. I love it!
May 4, 2011 at 6:30 pm
It's such a striking image-she looks like a dancer-in fact, she is a designer. I just looked at her blog, her creations are amazingly romantic! (she designed that sheer dress as well). Thanks for letting us discover her!

Quite interesting contrast between the soft sheerness of her dress and her powerful image.
May 4, 2011 at 8:56 pm
Masculine and Feminine juxtaposition at it's best :)
May 4, 2011 at 9:13 pm
Stunning picture!!! What a combination, she is so strong and looks so tough and wears this beautiful see through dress on a very peculiar background, love, love love it!!! I checked her blog, she is very talented! Thank u Scott:)

Very bold and fashion-forward as a street look. I love the tough-fragile contrast. That ruffle flow is constructed for a dancer, and she's listening to music…how fitting.

Love Azede and her dress! Not only is she an awesome emerging designer and blogger but she is an all around awesome girl! Yay team Atlanta!
May 4, 2011 at 11:16 pm
I love your photo <3
May 5, 2011 at 8:42 am
What a great photo, Scott. You've captured a study in opposites; light v. dark, strong v. ethereal, the cold background against the girlieness of the dress… you really have a wonderful eye.
May 5, 2011 at 8:47 am
HER blog is brilliant and refreshingly unpretentious. Lovely, talented, and a rare individual.
May 5, 2011 at 11:27 am
What a brave a risky choice.. even though I wouldn't wear it. In my opinion the fact of seeing her bra makes the look a lot less smart than it could be. But it suits her.
May 5, 2011 at 11:47 am
i want to love this but these clothes are wearing her and not vice versa, maybe it's the pose?
May 5, 2011 at 12:14 pm
rock'n'roll princess <3
May 5, 2011 at 12:35 pm
This photograph hits me hard; it is invoking a lot of sentiments inside me that I cannot clearly verbalize. Her toned arms mirror her strength and her white nails radiate her purity. Her stance is rigid and solid, juxtaposed (or enhanced) by the flowy dress. The transluscence of the fabric shows that she open; to induce emotions as well as absorb any outside forces that come her way.
This is the strongest image I've ever seen.

I Love LOve Love This Dress!!! http://www.copperetiquette.com
May 5, 2011 at 7:29 pm
Very nice looking woman, but the dress does not suit her. Something with a V-neckline would lengthen her neck and balance the arms, which look a bit weighty for a dress that diaphonous.
May 5, 2011 at 8:22 pm
Fresh style and color!
May 5, 2011 at 9:06 pm
People have such nice, positive comments about the photos on this website. I think I love all of you. There are still nice people in this world!!!!!! Cool pic, by the way.

lovely dress, looks like a Viktor & Rolf.
May 5, 2011 at 9:59 pm
He is really rockin' this dress. I love it! Great color against his skin. Work!
May 6, 2011 at 1:21 am
If only the dress were a wee bit shorter on her. It compresses her, creating density that I am not sure I agree with. Otherwise this is original. I especially like that the armholes are not piped, appearing to just be cut and not finished at all.
May 6, 2011 at 1:48 am
LOVE Azede. Thanks for featuring not only such a striking photograph, but such a fabulous emerging talent.
May 6, 2011 at 3:38 am

The dress is beautiful but let alone that, I love the way she stands out from the dull, dark background even though she's only wearing a pale pink dress!lovely!

May 7, 2011 at 5:48 pm
wow…it wasn't the dress that caught me…it was the person in the dress…and shot in atlanta? "how YOU doin?"
luv the picture and it's oddity. :o)
May 7, 2011 at 9:52 pm
Beautiful! I like the creations on her blog better than this particular dress (http://uncouturier.blogspot.com/), but I commend her for wearing something so bold out in public!
May 8, 2011 at 11:32 am
I agree with all the "delicate vs. strong" comments and I love the folds and lining in the skirt part of the dress.
I think a sexy black slip would have worked wonders … because even with a rockin' bod, unless you're at a high fashion event, walking around in such a sheer dress without one would look odd.
May 8, 2011 at 3:04 pm
Damn. Beautiful shot. You have to keep looking at it – wow.

Adorei o vestido!!Quanto pessoa que esta usando a achei muito estilosa.
May 10, 2011 at 9:59 pm
Ok. Thats really good. Very good version of sheer. She is totally not hiding, but totally not obvious either. Just modern and clean. Good that she is not wearing make up. It makes a nice counterpoint.
May 11, 2011 at 1:06 pm
Azede J Pierre!!! I miss your face!

Pretty awesome to see your old classmate grow up into a woman. Azede Pierre is an amazing artist/designer. Definitely look out for her in the future!
July 3, 2011 at 8:38 pm
Wow. The contrasts are beguiling and mesmerizing. The only thing I'd change is the alienating headphones. Not for aesthetic reasons, but for social ones.
August 18, 2012 at 5:18 am
That incredibly lovely and feminine (best shade of) pink sheer dress with its perfect black piping, following the same lines in the black gladiator sandals, black sharply romantic lingerie, chalk white nail polish… and then the hairstyle, the headphones, the tough built of her figure, the look in her eyes, the background and the lighting…
I am simply in love with this shot. Interesting, and beautiful, flawless!
