Most of this season's collections (Fall/Winter 2011/2012) are commercial, dull and uninspired. Some of them try at least to offer luxury. Uninspired and repetitive same olds, this is what I've seen, or at least the style-dot-com sellection odf shots was inappropriate.
These models look particularly masculine. I can't tell if its the angles at which the photos were taken, or if they all just have similarly strong jaw lines. Either way, I like the effect a lot.
I like it that the models don't look like they're seventeen ! It gives it a more feminine (than a child) touch ! Really like it ! Thanks for sharing ! Xx
Bottega is the new Hermès, definetely. I loved the lace stencils dresses. Loved how he brought the retro, 60ies look with such edge finishings and such unusual colors. The last gowns didnt impress me much..they like unfinished given the sumptuos materials which they are made… But Tomas is still the hottest daddy in fashion.
The woman in gold, is a stunning image of beauty. If the definition of beauty within the industry could shift toward one of true health, how would our societal perception of beauty transform? What if we viewed the curves God created as beauty, instead of condemning them? What would beauty in our society be, then?
I absolutely love that the models come across as so womanly: feminine and sexy in a strong, adult, self-confident, self-possessed, natural, healthy way. They look like real people. And they look like they are wearing the clothes, not the reverse, and that helps make the clothes fabulous.
Wow. Love the 2nd piece. Beautiful lace overlay on the bustier. Tassels peeking out of the scallop hem, topped off with lovely jewels on the jewelled neckline. Just wondering if the jewels are sewn on or a separate piece of jewellery.
That last dress is just fantastic–it's a marvel of engineering and subtle imagination (it gives the impression of falling off but is not at all overtly "sexual"). And the model looks wonderful–strong and healthy!
I love these outfits. And the models are so beautiful. The first woman gets me struck with her amazing eyes and eyebrows with these fluffy looking hair. This is one of the rare moments where blond hair and yellow as most important colour on the outfit fits.
The second outfit looks interesting and sexy without showing too much and I like how the yellow can be seen through the black silk.
The corsage-dress is simply sublime. The simple grey/brown with the big silky skirt. Not so easy to pull off in real life but still amazing
Is it just me or does the first model looks like Brigitte Bardot a lot? Pouty lips, smutchy eyes… the deceptive french innocence. I like her face:) But the clothes are overdone and unpractical imo. And I really don't like the unfinished 'look' on the top of the third dress.
The second dress is stunning. Classic and edgy at the same time. The third is a lovely contrast in shapes and textures – the structure of the corset against the draping of the satin, and the contrast of the linen/textured top against the smooth satin. Can't tell if the satin is actually dyed darker in the folds – but it appears to be a theatrical showstopper on the runway.
That dress was made for Carmen, and I cant take my eyes off her walk. Isabelli looked even more woman in that fantastic bustier. Tomas Maier is the new Kaiser
I can't believe the last dress, it is sublime. The corset, which looks like some sort of underpinning for another layer, (unfinished) with the very luxurious folds of the satin, with the dyed darker spots to emphasize the color of the corset. It has the effect of either falling off the model or else the model rising from the folds of the dress. I love it. I haven't seen anything like this, ever…
I absolutely love everything about the second look. The sheer lace over the gold and the fringe on the bottom are just perfect. The accessories also compliment the dress wonderfully. As much as I like the colors of the last dress, the fabric on the top portion just remind me of a potato sack. It's too much of a stretch for me.
Amo de paixão esse blog, recentemente descoberto, e deparei-me com amaravilhosa Isabely Fontana em dois desfiles. Prabéns! (I love this blog, discovered recently, i came across the gorgeous Isabelli Fontana, two runways. Congratulations)
I love these three looks!!! Especially the short dress. The lace over the top over the golden yellow adds a great sophistication to the dress and is a perfect look for an evening event.
