I'm the first to comment!Glad to do that, and glad to see such a coat color..I like the look of her eyes, she looks like she's melancholy but in a very stylish way… moreover, bicycle fulfills the look. thank you for this photo:) christine from athens
extremely cool and comfy … love the leg cuffs with the socks and furry shoes!!! Love the hat and the colour of the sweater against the colour of the scarf … the gloves!!!
Love the shearling lined wedge boot, the gathered cloves, the floppy hat, the chunky scarf, I can go on forever! It seems like the bike is a must have accessory in Europe. Oh, how I miss living there…
Your pictures… I get more inspirations from your blogg and book than I get from magazines, tv and people around me! Also – it's so amazing to have time to look over and over again. To see something new and to do something personal with it yourself. THANK YOU!
This is my first time reading this blog, and it's absolutely amazing! The beauty The Sartorialist brings to my eyes is more than what I can put myself to describe. He is capturing the beauty of the people in our times, and hopefully, our fashion will strike a place in the future when people look back at these times, all thanks to The Sartorialist! I will definitely keep coming.

Hi dear Scott. Come to Brazil, we love your blog and your way to take yours pictures. Thanks a lot to share with us these precious looks. Kisses viviane
sublime photo! the colours, the perfectly layered, yet casual, outfit. love the rolled up sweater and the earthy tones of her outfit.
cycling itself is a fashion trend on its own. as a seasoned high heeled cyclist i can tell readers the secret to doing it successfully: changing your seat position to adjust for the added height to your feet, and riding with the balls of your feet (where shoes are the lowest in height). anyone can do it without falling!
What I love about this photo is that her pants are rolled; her socks are rolled; her sweater is rolled; her jacket is rolled and her gloves are rolled….and she is rolling on her bike.
There are other things to notice that are rolled too..do you see them?
This overall carefree look that she obviously knows works for her..that is what makes this a great look!
Silent sigh – what a nice orange, and hat and…. etc. We could use some more orange!!! And colours, though I am always happy to find lots of different colours on your blog – which means that there are people out there who use coulours! Thank god
From the casual slouch of the wrist of the glove that seems it has willingly given up all fight against gravity – to the look back from under the hat and above the sumptuously embracing scarf – to the coat that, sometimes masquerading as a favorite shirt, is as immediately comfortable – to the premeditated momentum just before the push off on the pedals to join the flow on the street. The light is beautiful. The kind of light that defines a city. The light that says you are in New York and not Montreal or Montreal and not Baton Rouge. Like looking back to check for traffic and then having to stop because she noticed…Beautiful – Thank you Scott.
I love rolled jeans, skinny legs and then the flowy parts with it, the hat, (slouchy), the gloves (pushed down) and then the scarf just casually draped. Thanks.
I love the color of her jacket, especially with the rich purple scarf. And the hat is so much fun! I really like the little details too, like the rolled-up cuffs of her jeans, to show off the socks and awesome shoes, as well as the fingerless gloves and the buckled strap of her bag over one shoulder.
I just love nonchalant European style. It's so effortlessly chic!

her eyes kept drawing me in. She's a beautiful girl, looks like Angelina Jolie. The frame of her hat and the body language of her looking behind adds a depth to the picture. She is stylish and beguiling.
I love how eloquent this is. I am in aw. (the eggplant, maroon & Brown variants intrinsic with_ gloves, boots, scarf, seam on the stitching of jean…. ) In conjunction with her eyes! reminds me of a rose or peony_sweet sap permeating through towards the outer overall appearance. I'm a sucker for silhouettes but when a look allows u to transcend to the essence of the individual.
I really think after watching all these photos, where all these people live..É what they do to survive..É what are there life style..É It feels really great watching all these natural photograph. Not a bit of overly make up.. Natural and sober look. I am not fashion geek but like to see this blog for its originality.. sometimes, it feels this world is not original anymore. everyone has wore a mask of someone or something.. U r doing great work
The colors, the jacket and the almost true blue jeans contrast so well. And the way the light hits her back… this girl is absolutely radiant. I also like how it looks like she might hop on her bike and ride off any second and you'll never see her again.
I love how you captured his young lady peek-a-booing out from under that hat and over her shoulder. There's a certain charm in that she is riding a bicycle to her assignment or wherever she is going.
I'd love to see more people riding bicycles to Fashion Week in NYC.
dressed marvelously for the weather! the shoes are murderous, and perfectly juxtaposed with the bike-safe, rolled-up pantleg. the hat seems impractical for riding down hills, but the colors, the gloves and wrist warmers, gosh!
You can ride a bike in any high heels, as you peddal only with the toe part. Anyone who rides a bike knows this, but the hat i don’t understand. Its almost impossible to ride a bike with a hat on, as there is too much wond in your face for it not to fly off.

While I readily confess to a mad love affair with the wedge, I doubt I could summon the verve to attempt to bicycle in them ;)
I agree with the consensus…the perfect winter outfit…and a very daring choice for cycling footwear!
Winter automatically makes me reach for, and think of, these warm and earthy tones…they are rather out of place in the hot sun of summertime…

Thank U,
BTW> I think I saw you in Florence….
Keep inspiring US! :)

Everything is great, but the "shoots".
They look difficult to walk in and that ruins the relaxed look she's created with the other pieces.

The colors, the jacket and the almost true blue jeans contrast so well. And the way the light hits her back… this girl is absolutely radiant. I also like how it looks like she might hop on her bike and ride off any second and you'll never see her again.

The burnt orange coat and plum scarf are a perfect color combination. The neutral hat compliments but doesn't distract.

I love how you captured his young lady peek-a-booing out from under that hat and over her shoulder. There's a certain charm in that she is riding a bicycle to her assignment or wherever she is going.
I'd love to see more people riding bicycles to Fashion Week in NYC.

How could anyone ride a bike in those shoes? So tired of seeing women wearing high heeled shoes. They are deforming.

dressed marvelously for the weather! the shoes are murderous, and perfectly juxtaposed with the bike-safe, rolled-up pantleg. the hat seems impractical for riding down hills, but the colors, the gloves and wrist warmers, gosh!

You can ride a bike in any high heels, as you peddal only with the toe part. Anyone who rides a bike knows this, but the hat i don’t understand. Its almost impossible to ride a bike with a hat on, as there is too much wond in your face for it not to fly off.
