i’m sorry but you’re either superwoman or you’re inventing a collar because there’s no way you can see if the last button is open or not by this photo, really.
Technically, his outfit is not that special…a tweed coat, a pair of jeans and loafers…BUT he is wearing it with an attitude and this guy has charisma…and the aviators make it so much more special! That makes the difference! I really like it. And the beard looks so good on him! (If you read this, please don’t ever shave it off :D)
Love the coat and aviators! Think this outfit would be perfect if the shoes were penny loafers and not the kind with tassels. Nice shot, as usual, though.
Just as I was thinking ” wow great looking, well put together and above all practical” … I scrolled down to see no socks. Ah well, fashion has its demands.
I go sockless unless I’m wearing a suit or at the gym. Loafers keep your feel plenty warm in the winter. I had a friend in college who used to say “if you wear socks, you obviously don’t spend enough time in the Hamptons.”
Good find Sart! Good outfit Random Guy on the Street!
lemme guess… u caught him going to/coming from the ralph lauren show? i say that because if i’m not mistaking, that’s the polo reversable tweed trench coat that i loved this season, the classic polo sunglasses with the shooting glasses aesthetic(this was the tipoff, i’ve owned 3 pair) and the shoes COULD be rl also- though they look like aldens. if that’s the coat i think it is, it looks even more amazing in action than it looked in the store…
love the tassel loafers with jeans…and the yellow socks. Great choices and that coat looks DAMN comfortable.
in other news:
Its images like these that make me wish the picture size was larger. I mean, I can look at the coat and identify it as tweed, but I can’t see detailed enough to make out the exact KIND of pattern (do you know what I mean?)…..anyway, just a thought.
Love the tweed and the color of it. Love the dark wash jeans with the color of the jacket as well. But he should un-”POP” his color. I hate to sound cliche, but that was so a couple years ago. Never should have been a trend. XOXO http://www.ahauteaparty.blogspot.com
He has a sort of cool free Redford/Three Days of the Condor feel about his look. He should have a newspaper shoved under his arm while munching on an apple or something–authentically laid back. No socks is a wake up call to nonconformity.
Very, cool, understated look. Needless to say, i love the tweed coat, and the classic loafers, and i would venture to say that those are yellow socks. I don’t think he’s sockless… But it’s the shades and the attitude that makes this shot so cool
Your idea of cold might not be the same to everyone else and it might have been a little warmer than normal that day but I digress….I like this casual look. It isn’t anything that jumps out at you but it still works nontheless
i’m not so sure about this…it would be better, i think, if the coat hung a little more lightly. as it is he looks like he’s got a parka underneath – it’s all puffy.
I love the fact that it’s obviously cold enough for that goregous tweed coat but the guy has resolutely stuck to wearing his loafers with no socks – definitely a case of style over warmth!
Love that shade of brown, the last button undone and raised collar, but the jeans should be a little less "scruffy" at the bottom. Good tassel loafers are a nice option, but mink suede 'savile' handgrade shoes by Crockett & Jones would have been much nicer. I kinda like the yellow socks, though… I presume he's wearing socks…
Is it me or does the NY scene look like they’re all trying too hard? great jacket, dig the beard, but why the shades on a gray day and why no socks in winter?
Nice look but I don’t dig the jeans those look like faux creases on the pant leg. He’s wearing yellow socks with the loafers……I prefer sans tassels myself.
