For some reason I absolutely love the combination of those shoes with the neon green belt- a well balanced, kind of "old meets new" ensemble. I'm not so sure about the jacket though…
Where to begin!? Coulours so amazing esp. for this time of year. Cool trick with the jacket/belt. Loving the shoes and also kinda like the bracelet(s) on the other guy's wrist.
i love everything about his style (yip, this time it's more about the style than the photo itself ;) )
the chunky chain, his shoes in combination with the shorts, the neon belt against the khaki pants and the amazing blue jacket… and of course the way he tucked it in the belt. fabulous all over!
I like the belt he's wearing but most of all I love what this men is wearing….wow!!! Shorts, nice shoes, key/wacth chain, deep blue blazer and his amazing belt…. How lovely can a men be :-)

Nouvelle fonction de la ceinture découverte à l'instant. Fallait y penser ! C'est pas très esthétique, mais pratique. Merci d'avoir immortalisé ce moment :)
Ha, pretty funny. It surprises me that he's wearing a bright yellow/green belt in combination with his classic combination with the blue and beige. But it surprises me in a good way. Yes, this guy is funny.
Fun neon belt! I beg your pardon but..is it the angle, the shoe design, or are his feet really as long as his calf? Somethis seem off about the proportions.
Not really a fan of this. It's an interesting idea, but the rest of the outfit makes me think it's a bit "too cool for school". Ie. I don't enjoy the chain, length of the shorts and the colour of the belt.
The jacket is awesome – it is a casual and nonchalant way of approaching your outfit. But he seems to have that approach to everything – throwing a bright green belt and a chain in with all the classic pieces. Well done! :) Love your blog! LK
A creative way of solving the common problem of where to place the jacket when not wearing it.
I would have a hard time squeezing it under the belt though. Not because there wouldn't be any room, but because of the feeling of abusing a good jacket, getting it all wrinkled.
Regarding the composition of clothes, I think his shorts are way too wide, too long for my taste, and his shoes looks a bit too big for some reason.
Like the dash of strong colour in the belt though, and the heavy keychain together with that lovely blue-toned jacket. A nice way of dressing it all down a bit.
Wait until someone rifles through the pockets of his jacket (which he won't feel because it's behind him) and then nicks his wallet – then he won't feel so smart…
wow, this is really unique. i like it though, its way better than tying the sweater around you waist. i also love the colors, lime green, blue, and brown.
First love that zingy fluro belt cutting across the cool colours, then the shots of warm colours in the background – hot pink, orange, red, yellow. Hey & I like his jacket slung through the belt! Never seen that before.
Clever:) It's nice to see sometimes that people use their clothes for what it's worth. It's not necessarily ruining their style. Overloaded pockets are another example.. Btw, thumbs up for italian men, and their clothing style! :)
You gotta love the attitude behind this. Makes you wanna know more about the individual. His style is very cool too. Are those Hermes Quoique shoes he's wearing?
Love the shoes and shorts most. –and a great idea with a jacket or blazer you don't want getting overly crushed from the usual tie around the waist. Although I will say that fluoro colour belt is all wrong.
For a minute I thought the jacket was an addition to the shorts and I got really excited. Still love the flashes of neon with camel/khaki/caramel thing that's going on right now though.
Interesting? – yes. Fashionable? – No. I really do not care for the chain-on-the-wallet look either. But, hey I wore my sweatshirts inside out in the 80's. This (fleece-in-the-belt) look is far better than that silly 80's trend, so anything can catch on.
Really? It reminds me of my grandson's shoe velcro sticking to his behind when he crouched down and when he rose his shoe was stuck to his butt. His sister laughed her head off. Tell you something? I think this looks stupid. Don't like the shoes or chain either. Doesn't leave much…
One of the few sartorial traits in the military is where soldiers choose to place their berets when they're not wearing them. Some put them boringly in a pocket, some wear them British-style folded on their shoulder and some do as this gentleman does, and tuck them into the belt (both the back and right side are popular. Never in the front.)
I dont think the gentleman was trying to create a style but look out for copycats around the world who try to mimic this look. I am kind of sick of seeing copycats. Dont you guys see that ppl these days dressed the same – globally?
such a great balance- the subtlety of the classic khaki and striped shirt, the playfulness of the shorts, a really great shoe and then that super bold pop of neon! well done!!!
I mentioned the length of the man's shorts above (way too long in my opinion). Felt I just had to get it off my chest, that we men have got much to learn from women regarding this issue.
No matter how great, tall or slim you look, shorts of that length ending right on the middle of the calves, will turn any man into looking like a misshaped midget.
In my opinion, shorts ending somewhere around the knee, or a few inches above are optimal.
I'll never be able to get into oxfords with no socks. I don't think it looks bad aesthetically, but it lacks a certain honesty or consistency (not sure what it is exactly).
Looks like it's from Jil Sander's SS 2005 collection. I have the same colour from that year, but it's slightly wider, so I'm not sure. I also have one in neon pink from that Jil collection that's that exact size. Maybe there are several versions. Who knows?
The neon green with khaki shorts is cool. The chain belt and brown shoes let's me know this guy is not afraid of mixing it up. The secondary use for the belt is, um, creative to say the very least!
My guess is that this isn't a true belt, rather a nylon webbing tie-down strap of sorts. This would be quite innovative. If this is the case, the guy may have purchased several for less than $10 in total.
I have taken to tucking my hat in a pocket or in the small of my back to get it out of the way +(mind you, I mean driver's hats or 8/4 hats, or even a crushable fedora). This picture illustrates a very effective way to keep track of your outergarment and still have it out of the way –and out of the dirt. Very smart way to go.
Sorry Scott. Can't get into this. The awful shorts length (I know they're not Dickies, but they remInd me of them), the wallet chain(Chrome Hearts?) and the rest of the ensemble, seems like 'Tommy Lee attempts la bella figura'. Was he Italian? When I was in Florence last summer, I saw beautifully dressed Italian men that would sooner die than take their jackets off. And the guys that did, still did it with real sprezzatura. The jacket in belt isn't insouciant, it's just sloppy no matter how ingeniously or nicely he folds and tucks it.
After seeing the Prada womenswear show back in fall 06, I've always wanted to try the coat/jacket/blazer belted on the waist…nice to see someone execute it off runway, just worry about the wrinkles though…
Hello! I just would like to give an enormous thumbs up for the nice information you have here on this post. I will likely be coming again to your weblog for extra soon.
Well, the jacket looks dumb hung from his belt like that. It’s a fashion faux pas right there. Don’t know how can so many people like it. But what I loveis his belt color and his pants and the added chain.

I love it — summer always brings this predicament: when it's too hot during the day for a jacket, but too cold at night to be left without one

And don't we all have our hands full all the time, so we come up with such ideas!

Wow, what a creative look – between the multi-tasking belt, the chain wallet and the pressed khakis with dressy shoes, this is quite unique!

Well, the jacket looks dumb hung from his belt like that. It’s a fashion faux pas right there. Don’t know how can so many people like it. But what I loveis his belt color and his pants and the added chain.
