the man up top means business, serious business. the mo', the chambray, the white jeans, even down to the veins in his foot and tan of his belt. wow. the pose, pow! there is relief in the softness of his jacket and the whimsy of the pocket square. overall, he looks arresting.
I love white denim with desert boots. White denim with suede is a really nice combo. This guys jeans fit perfectly; not too tight but perfectly slim. Bravo.
HELP – who makes the loafers in the last photograph??
Trying to find a good pair of properly made, subtle & refined shoes is – as far as I'm concerned – nigh on impossible. Not to mention trying to find a good cobbler to rescue over-worn favourites.
I give a special mention fot the second color combination : the mustards shoes are perfect with the dark blue "blazer" : two strongs colors with the white shirt and pants : that makes a dynamic and light allure !
Well, I was wearing white trousers and suede shoes over the week-end & I live in London… Arguably, I spent some time in Portofino so I may have soaked up the influence!
Even if the white pants are not for every kind of men, this man has the perfect figure to use, tall, slim and sleek. The navy blazer and the impeccable suede shoes are perfect for everyone. Love that style!
like i was walking around in firenze. but who knows what shoes the man is wearing on second pricture from bottom !!!! it's a wannahave. pls let me know
Its not so much a uniform, it just works well and is cool and comfortable, can be worn everywhere. Fantastic shoes. I don't think all women know that good, quality shoes for men are over $300,even at bargain places-makes it difficult for most to have many options. Cheaper shoes? always look cheap, mostly plastic, and hurt!
From your photos I feel like every stylish man in Italy must spend half his time posing with one leg up on something talking on a cell phone. Its like they're all just waiting for you to wander by and snap a quick shot of their perfectly styled ankle. Fabulous.
I do like this particular look, however this is a great example of something that needs the right circumstances to function. Here in Norway, most of the time, this would look just silly.
Are we talking shoes or pants here? I think both! I purchased two pair of pants a few weeks ago. The same pant, one in black and the other white. They are the lightest chino possible, almost transparent. I have been wearing them both rolled up several times at the ankle with like colored tank. Or, black with white or white with black and shiny bronze sandals and tons of silver bangles. I can't get enough of this summery fun look.
I love these blazers and the semi-casual shoes with the white pants too. I will do this number when it cools down here in about three months!
It's fun to see those who dress uniquely, but the more original their art the less it says about their context, their city. I love to see these trends in fashion that overtake a city like the flu, maybe spread to other cities, or maybe just die out. Thanks for pointing this one out!
Oh dear, guy #2 with the buckskin-colored suede boots – don't look too closely – not so cool. I would never let my man out of the house with badly finished hems on his pants. I don't want to see any socks, and I don't want to see any rough edges – of any sort :-). Norine
Reminds me of the 60's style of Robert Culp in the I Spy television show. A great look for summer. Kinda continental thought b/c I haven't seen this look stateside.
image two: delicious! image one: this is never a flattering posture for a man. image three: not so much. image four: the lace up oxfords are lovely! those loafers seem very well loved and probably feel great but look a little weary.
nonetheless, all of the images are wonderful fashion.
If you look at them individually they look so chic, but when I think about it, they seem as if they've lost inspiration to dress up with their own imagination. But still I love the style :)
I am surprised at the comments stating these looks are unusual or rare….not seen stateside! Its an East coast- NY summer uniform, Southampton and East Hampton parties: legions of men in blue blazers and white/tan/yellow! pink! trousers! socks are forbidden!
Every time I wear white pants I live in fear of getting something, anything, on them. Yet all these gents appear un-marred. Perhaps I'm just too messy to wear white. I don't know, but I'm impressed with their courage!
