You are wrong: the real "standout piece" is your pic, great photo, Scott!
September 13, 2010 at 7:00 am
This is so ethereal. The photo is beyond fantastic—the contrast between the light, flowy dress with beautiful texture against a dark background…beautiful.
September 13, 2010 at 7:01 am
WOW! This photo is reallllly mad genius. I love how you captured the flow..
It's so simple, but so sophisticated at the same time. I WANT! I NEED! truly beautiful!!!!
September 13, 2010 at 7:03 am
WOW!!! great shot!
September 13, 2010 at 7:05 am
Que Sara Sara.
September 13, 2010 at 7:09 am
Beautiful! Though she's a tad bit skinny for my liking. And the belt that adds that little bit of detail to the presentation. It almost looks like she's floating! That grey and greyish champagne colour combination.
September 13, 2010 at 7:13 am
this is the most beautiful dress I've seen for a long time….
September 13, 2010 at 7:15 am
I like how simple but still how worked the dress is, beautiful details. It's almost a bit origami-like.
Gorgeous dress, no I think Stunning would be a better word. If I had the figure I'd wear that dress to death!
But am I the only one that wonders why her toes are so far over the front of her shoes?
September 13, 2010 at 7:16 am
Absolutely beautiful and fairy-like.I agree, it's a stunner!

September 13, 2010 at 7:28 am
Ou're rigth.Tat dress is gorgeous and special.(And the shoes too)
is it just me or the shoes are at least 2 sizes too small? i HATE when toes outsize the sole…
September 13, 2010 at 7:30 am
fantastic photo, wonderful dress but…she looks like a ghost
September 13, 2010 at 7:33 am
That dress is so gorgeous!Loved the whole show:)))
September 13, 2010 at 7:36 am

September 13, 2010 at 7:37 am
Gorgeous! And also beautifully captured…
September 13, 2010 at 7:39 am
amazing… but i find her toes extremely distracting…
September 13, 2010 at 7:42 am
Absolutely perfect shot. Love the tones. So dream-like.
September 13, 2010 at 7:57 am
September 13, 2010 at 8:08 am
The dress is gorgeous.
Though I'd think it would look even better on a woman with some curves and fitting shoes.
September 13, 2010 at 8:10 am
Truly this is the right girl in the right dress. I love the monochromatic styling. This looks like a magazine cover!
September 13, 2010 at 8:11 am
September 13, 2010 at 8:17 am
My heart just stopped after looking at that dress. Wow.
September 13, 2010 at 8:21 am
What an amazing picture!
The dress is beautiful. The girl is anorexic.
September 13, 2010 at 8:29 am
No need to repeat that this shoot is just gorgeous!!!:)
September 13, 2010 at 8:30 am
I think it's funny how her toes are touching the ground …
But nonetheless, that dress is lovely in every way!
breathtaking… simply stunning!
September 13, 2010 at 8:34 am
Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi are talented. The collection is ethnic and wearable because it's minimalist. I like the dress, bohemian look with a smart modernity!
September 13, 2010 at 8:43 am
Love the dress but look at the shoes! They are way to small!
September 13, 2010 at 8:45 am
I love the movement captured in this photo. Beyond that, I'm just staring at her rail-thin figure. For me, it's distracting, and not in the most positive of ways.
September 13, 2010 at 8:54 am
I love the dress esp. when there's movement in it :))
September 13, 2010 at 9:01 am
It is a beautiful dress – and a beautiful photo – it would look REALLY great on woman with a bit of healthy curves. This girl is just TOO skinny.
Purses Pastries Etc...
September 13, 2010 at 9:12 am
Gorgeous photo and dress! I'd love to own it but for now at least I'll settle for drawing it :)
September 13, 2010 at 9:17 am
It's true. Preen has one of the most sophisticated collections, now.
September 13, 2010 at 9:25 am
I love how her skin and the dress almost becomes one ..
September 13, 2010 at 9:43 am
Stunning!Bit concerned about the slant of the heel on the left shoe – it looks as is it could break off any minute. However, they are lovely shoes and perfect for the dress but wrong size for sure!
So beautiful xoxo
September 13, 2010 at 9:55 am
love the dress, love the shot…then you get to the shoes and they're great but i feel bad they don't fit her!
September 13, 2010 at 9:58 am
The dress and the photo are sublime. But the ill-fitting shoes ruin it. I'm going to say there was some error during the fitting process, that the correct shoes didn't arrive and the designer just had to roll with it in the wings…
Yes. That makes me feel better.
September 13, 2010 at 10:05 am
stunning!!!really sophisticated !
September 13, 2010 at 10:09 am
This is a lovely dress that real women may actually wear.
September 13, 2010 at 10:14 am
poor girl, having to stand all the comments about her figure and the too small shoes that probably were uncomfortable as hell. and still she's the one wearing that fabulous (in its simplicity) dress. you can't take that from her :)

Great atmosphere captured in the shot and what a marvelous dress!

September 13, 2010 at 11:20 am
Preen is always on point. This piece only goes to further that point.
September 13, 2010 at 11:42 am
This picture is absolutely phenomenal! Really, just stunning!
September 13, 2010 at 11:48 am
You took the picture at the right second as the model walked past you: the girl's posture, the way the dress hangs on her body, her hair flowing in the air, everything is perfect.

September 13, 2010 at 11:51 am
beautiful shot & great dress. this is what it's all about.
Wonderful dress…Shame that the model looks like she's just came out of Sudan!! Can you please have some food?!!?
March 6, 2018 at 2:51 am
That is a really awful thing to say about a healthy young woman. She is slender. Its actually very pretty.
September 13, 2010 at 11:59 am
Ethereal. Romantic and modern. So breathtaking. I love the off white sheer with the palest grey shoe.
September 13, 2010 at 12:01 pm
Amazing dress, but the shoes are far too small for the girl, poor her! i'm sorry to note that, i don't usually see this kind of details, but that was too big (or not) !
September 13, 2010 at 12:04 pm
i'm really digging the lighting in this shot.
September 13, 2010 at 12:14 pm
Wow, I am in love with this dress!
September 13, 2010 at 12:25 pm
It will be my next " I can't live without it"…Adorable.
September 13, 2010 at 12:38 pm
Wow. That dress!
September 13, 2010 at 12:57 pm
amazing dress, simply wow! it is a pity that girl's shoes are too small for her :(
September 13, 2010 at 1:07 pm
People! Models often just wear whichever shoe is chosen for the show/outfit. The shoes are not specifically sized for that model. Often they wear shoes that are 3 sizes too small or 3 sizes too big. If she's a tall thin model, there's a good chance she wears a size 9 and designers aren't exactly stocking size 9 shoes for runway shoes, they usually go much smaller.
September 13, 2010 at 1:17 pm
Shocking to see how thin this girl is! Love, love, love the dress, not on her.
September 13, 2010 at 1:19 pm
oh yeah!!! The dress is just a piece of art!!! SO BEAUTIFUL!!!
September 13, 2010 at 1:20 pm
That dress has lattice smocking on it, not too hard to do with a machine called a smocking pleater. The fabric is run through threaded rollers that set the pleats on the cross grain, then the lattice is smocked by hand with embroidery thread. After the pleats and smocking stitches are steamed in place the cross grain threads are removed. Lattice smocking patterns are usually seen on baby clothes. It's great to see it on a woman's dress looking modern instead of something you'd see 100 years ago.

You've got to be very thin to wear that dress, otherwise the belly will make you look pregnant.
September 13, 2010 at 3:38 pm
September 13, 2010 at 4:03 pm
This dress is light and chic, it's beautiful !
September 13, 2010 at 4:22 pm
This photo makes me want to be wrapped up in my silk sheets while drinking champagne and eating strawberries. This photo is decadent with so many layers-from the rough concrete floor to the pleating on the dress and the wispy hair. Pure perfection.
Not only is the dress beautiful, but so is the shot. Really stunning. That model rocked it even though her shoes are about 2 sizes too small. That's not easy folks.
September 13, 2010 at 4:24 pm
Who is the model? Does anyone know?
This is a dream shot, truly!
What I think is funny, and what no one seemed to notice, is that her feet appear a little too big for her shoes. haha
Overall a completely stunning picture.
September 13, 2010 at 4:48 pm
all my attention went to the ill-fitting shoes. couldn't they fit her with some heels that would prevent her toes from dragging on the floor?
September 13, 2010 at 4:59 pm
this dress is perfect, and the photograph is amazing!
September 13, 2010 at 5:15 pm
Beautiful flow… so feminine.

September 13, 2010 at 8:21 pm
Amazing photo. The model looks so ethereal juxtaposed with the people in the background.
September 13, 2010 at 9:46 pm
Nice dress. Stunning attitude from the model. (That is, attitude as in posture.)
September 14, 2010 at 12:26 am
Absolutely stunning. Feminine and ultra sexy.
September 14, 2010 at 12:31 am
A lovely dress. Great choice of model.
September 14, 2010 at 1:45 am
I love her toes hangin out of her shoes and the other heel looks like its warped inwards. Absolutely stunning!

i'd wear this if i were a girl.
September 14, 2010 at 3:44 am
She looks like the tooth-faerie or a more modern princess:)
Love the shoes!
September 14, 2010 at 4:29 am
she's so skinny! it's awful.
September 14, 2010 at 5:17 am
love the effect of the dress, great job, awesome pic!
September 14, 2010 at 7:25 am
It is an amazing dress but I cringed when I saw how thin the model was. Aren't we past the size zero issue now? Why can't the fashion industry use healthier looking girls? Make the samples bigger, it's not difficult.
September 14, 2010 at 7:42 am
Yeah I have enjoyed having smocking enter the realm of adults clothes in the last few years, but here it is not a detail, it is the main event. Cool. It would be very nice to touch.

September 14, 2010 at 9:12 am
wow this is an amazing shot. you captured the natural movement of the dress so well
September 14, 2010 at 9:17 am
All of your fashion show pictures are wonderful and the women are truly beautiful. What I seriously cannot understand is, why fashion designers dress their models up in fantastic dresses, but give them way too small sandals. Toes sticking out look very terrible and ruin the entire look.
September 14, 2010 at 9:59 am
did anyone else find the wigs/ clip on bangs in this show extremely distracting. I swear the first time I flipped through the looks on style.com all I saw was the awfully fake looking hair!!
September 14, 2010 at 10:37 am
September 14, 2010 at 1:04 pm
absolutely stunning dress.
September 14, 2010 at 1:48 pm
What a clever, modern twist to the traditional smocking technique! Grandma might actually approve. lol!
September 14, 2010 at 4:22 pm
So flow and gorgeous!

September 15, 2010 at 4:59 pm
What a lovely shot!
September 15, 2010 at 5:08 pm
Beautiful dress and nice shot..wow
September 15, 2010 at 8:10 pm
I just cant get over the shoes that mean she walking with her toes on teh ground. When will the shoe-makers take women's feet seriously??? Who wants to pay $1000 and still be walking with bare feet in the dirt?!?
September 16, 2010 at 7:28 am
The matching curves in her hair and skirt are really beautiful.
As are the straight lines in the heels and her arms. That's a good photograph.
September 16, 2010 at 10:36 am
That dress speaks endlessly. That slight, soft, shifting fabric is so sexy.

September 16, 2010 at 5:48 pm

September 18, 2010 at 9:30 pm
Props to the model for making the dress look fabulous even though she is walking in stiletto shoes that are WAY too small for her.
September 20, 2010 at 1:23 pm
I love the smock!
September 21, 2010 at 3:11 am
This dress is amazing.. more so in a photograph that makes it look somewhat magical haha. I just can't explain it
September 21, 2010 at 1:51 pm
Fascinating to see how distorted the shoes and feet become when these amazons are stomping down the runway
September 24, 2010 at 6:56 am
this can't be a real dress.. looks virtual, like a ghost! but what a ghost..!
September 24, 2010 at 11:16 pm
I searched Google and could not find this dress anywhere. Is this part of private/unreleased collection?
September 27, 2010 at 5:47 am
wow, i love that dress. but isn't she a lil bit skinny? i don't like that…
October 4, 2010 at 10:54 am
October 29, 2010 at 11:27 pm
You captured the movement in the picture. Very graceful~
November 10, 2011 at 5:42 am
I very much like the fluttering dress, the material itself is beautiful and especially those made details, but I think the most striking detail is phenomenal belt that fits perfectly into this cut.
November 28, 2011 at 9:43 pm
It just stunningly beautiful. Amazingly gorgeous. It flows beautifully on her.

Love this semi-fitted waist line!
It’s a modern interpretation of Balenciaga’s idea.
However, Balenciaga did fit it at the front and used to leave the back loss.
Always liked that effect.

Bravo! Well Done. Beautiful Capture of a Divine Dress and a Divine Model…Conveys intelligence, energy and attitude,
