Dolce and Gabbana have done it again, they never seem to miss with their clean styling and very feminine look but yet somehow keep the clothing very sexy in a subtle way.
I reallly realllllly loved this show. It was the epitome of femininity to me. Simple, soft, sensual with a clean basic color palette. MARVELOUS! Dolce and Gab know how to dress women.
Yes! Dignity, Fortitude, Grace and Femininity all rolled into a classic and beautiful line of clothing. Fifty years from now, these designs will continue to elicit pangs of desire. (We'll ignore the apparent wardrobe malfunction that is occurring in the crotchal region of the second look.)
I've never seen a D&G garment in real life..but every image i see is such a cinematic moment! something about these clothes and the presentation makes them feel like part of a story! Sigh!
I think it's great that you're putting up a lot more from the actual fashion shows this year. It's nice to see the collections on the runway, as well as to enjoy the looks of the fashion editors, models, etc. on the street.
After looking at your street photos of "regular" people during most of the year, I really enjoy it twice a year when you turn to the professional fashion people. For anyone who's creative it is very artistically inspiring to see all the interesting colors, cuts, and shapes.
The people who complain on your blog every time you shoot a fashion person have to stop being such philistine prudes. The rest of us are having fun and enjoy these photos.
As for this collection, Dolce and Gabbana is fabulous, and I think these are all very wearable looks. The fourth white dress is an absolute standout.
So far, Dolce & Gabbana is my absolute favorite collection. It's so true to their image, it's sexy, but in a subtle way, and it really shows the world what Dolce & Gabbana is all about. The dazzling embellished dresses near the end were also stunners.
Garance would rock that suit so hard and make it her own. I was so delighted to meet her at NY, though briefly, she was so open and absolutely charming–it made her even more beautiful than she already is. Made me think about your posts on the power of manners from last year…
a dull agreement with lace manufacturers!!!, there are not even one single number that achieves to enhance the natural qualyties of those beautiful girls, boring, monotonous, i wander if there are no other newest way to reinterpret italian southerness.!?, and by the way, dear Sart, yell us something about Marni, personally find Consuelo's the greatest collection until now presented!!!
Good choice :) Actually few men like to see women in slouchy over-layered form-hiding garments. They look allright on slim tall models with high heels but that's about the end of it. Real women are looking better with figure-flattering clothes in good proportions.
