this outfit is like a breath of fresh air. With that grey backdrop, the colours of her skirt come out beautifully. Not everyone can rock this skirt ending at calves that too in a print like this. I'm in love with way the whole thing is coordinated…shoes included!
It will be so nice to return to this skirt length for a while, it's marvellous to be able to move comfortably for a start, and she shows it can look just as attractive as a mini. Won't be long before minis will look odd, I reckon (and hope).
Gorgousss this look is so beautiful I am going to try it out with a long maxi skirt and a loosely fitted shirt. Sooo inspiring winter style :) Love from london ;)
I am so in love with this skirt, no, I'm so in love with this whole outfit!!! It looks so insanely comfortable. The skirt is at a perfect length, and the blouse looks nice and light. Perfect!! Scott, do you have any advice for an amateur photographer on how to get good street style shots? If so, you can reach me here http://www.thegirlinthepurplepants.blogspot.com, or my new suburban street style blog, http://www.suburbani.blogspot.com . Thanks!!
sculptural bracelet, hair & aubergine silk blouse and mini prada bag are sophisticated. the skirt & ballet flats ..girlishly charming. interesting combination.
I like the skirt fabric and am always happy to see a skirt that isn't a mini, but wish it were longer (read: lower calf)–as it is, the combination of skirt length and matronly flats ends up dowdy, not fresh or flowy.
Oh, I like this outfit too–love the gypsy effect floral and that deep wine shirt. You do need a flat tummy though to wear that gathered style…so I wouldn't be able to wear it atm–ohh…ok, need to do more sit ups and crunches if this style becomes more popular. She has lovely legs that flatter the skirt length too.
My digital screen is playing tricks with this shot.
When I look from below and can't see her eyes behind the glasses it's as if she's looking at the camera with a 'what do you think you're doing' attitude.
When I look from above and can see her eyes she's looking back over her shoulder as if she's being followed.
That pointless observation aside,
The floral skirt, the way she's standing in it and the way the small bag is positioned are rather sensual.
(From there it's a small step to saying sexy. But I'm not going to say sexy, because I don't think she intended the look to be sexy).
Lovely and relaxed- but I would question this skirt on an older woman, as it looks like something lurking in the back corner of a church secretary's closet.
I cant believe someone said the skirt was a "no". I thought it serves endless appeal. A feast to the eyes, if you will. Am i wrong? Am i the only one who cant stop staring at this picture whilst simultaneously wondering how such a skirt could be so flattering?!
This is a very beautiful look. Very simple yet very feminine and elegant. I am such a fan of high-waisted skirts, pants and shorts. The proportions are so flattering when worn properly. This is what Carrie Bradshaw did well before she became completely self-obsessed and ridiculous.
