Anyone who wears a headpiece that big to an event where people behind her want to be able to see, is also rather inconsiderate of others, wouldn't you say?
Charming, maybe. I would think "selfish" might be a better descriptor of someone who wears that when sitting front row. The show isn't about her is it?
I wonder at what stage in your life you begin to just think, F* it, I am wearing a full feathered head dress and to Hell with the people sitting behind me …
Who would have the nerve to say, Madam, would you removed that bird from your head during the show ?
Thats so cool!!! She is awesome… I wrote about her a few days ago because she is one of my inspirations :) I love that she have so much fun with her dressing xx Rosa
Okay, so why not remove the enormous (yes beautiful indeed) headpiece while watching a screen with many people behind you unable to see a significant part of it?! She could afterwards put it back on her head to remain fabulous. Consideration + Style = Gratitude + Glamour.
It's one thing to wear a fabulous headpiece. It's another to wear it all the way through a film screening, disrupting others' ability to see and enjoy the film and essentially insuring that one's own presence has more impact on some viewers than the film or event itself. Sorry, Sart, but I see nothing charming about that. Arrogant and self-indulgent, yes; charming, no.
That is NOT 'charming' at all. I don't give a damn who it is, if it was the President wearing a hat that obstructed my view, I'd ask him to remove it. That's just plain rude.
LOL I was thinking it was her. Honestly I love her, but I don't think I would ever want to sit behind her. I'd be sad like one of those people who go to a concert only to end up behind a sign of a screaming girl or at an awards show behind lady gaga and her meat dress or one of her head pieces….sad.
My first guess would have been Lady Gaga. I'm glad you found it charming. I would not have been so charitable had I been forced to gaze upon her folly when I had come to see something else.
You know, I love her, and I LOVE her fearless, fun sense of style! But……I can't help but think it's a tiny bit rude – if you know you are going to a film or show – to wear something that you know will mar the experience of others? So as much as I adore her, better judgement next time maybe? And long live the ADR's of the world who dress for fun & fabulousness…not for trends!xxo
Anna is ever Anna and her style is the most interesting respect on the other fashion editors…The "vey famous" Mrs Wintour hasn't a quarter of Anna's style and sense of fashioN!
Maybe Sart was being ironic about the "charming" part? Maybe by taking this picture and posting it, he would like Anna to realize how her ridiculous fashion can come at the cost of others!

Anon.. 10.30 PM, I was actually thinking the same after a while.. Yeah maybe Sart is a bit ironic about it?!
I don't know Anna DR , I have never ever met her, or seen her live, so I am not the right person to critizize her, but as she is a media person, and a person who enjoys being in the middle of happening, I am sure she can take critics from unknown people. Some famous people in the fashion business seems to me NICE, i.e everyone prob agree that Garance seems to be a really NICE person. The same thing I see in Kate Lanphear, and in Viv. Its something about the face and the smile, and of course what qualities speaks to me. Some one else might find Viv's smile totally annoying i.e. But in ADR, no, I do not see anything Nice in her. She might be lovely actually, but a person who blocks the view like that, can't be really nice.. or charmig can she..? OR maybe she removed the head piece right after Sart had his picture taken..?
I wanted to add another comment about this shot. At first I only saw my own annoyance, but it's actually an amazing shot. There's humor, irony and the composition is marvelous. The silhouetted feathers looming over the dancers in their purple tulle is lovely and seems a nod to Degas.
Haha, 82Brute is totally right! Everyone goes on about if this is annoying or charming, but actually the picture itself is great! And there is a lot of humor in it.
