His best accessory is his beard! He look great!
October 21, 2010 at 9:31 am

Love it!! It's great. ~
October 21, 2010 at 9:45 am
So cool, but he should lose the accessory in his left hand and it would be even better.

October 21, 2010 at 11:21 am
Uahhhhhhhuuuuuu !!!!!! This man is what I call "a real man". Like, like , like.
October 21, 2010 at 11:46 am
Sometimes I wish you would ask people to put out their cigarettes before taking the photos. I just find that terribly distracting, and it makes it hard for me to really get excited about a person's look. Just a suggestion, I understand if it's not gonna happen.

October 21, 2010 at 11:55 am
dapper… and his smile is genuine
October 21, 2010 at 11:56 am

The combination of this gentleman's extreme sex appeal, his handsome face, and his beautiful smile is what make his whole look work. Oh, BTW, the beautiful scarf actually adds to his masculinity rather than dimishes it. For a man to wear an accessory that could make him look effeminate, his scarf makes him look sexier. OMG, I forgot, nice booty to boot!
October 21, 2010 at 12:21 pm
Great scarf, but the smile is even better!
October 21, 2010 at 12:24 pm

October 21, 2010 at 12:26 pm
Look at the posture! What a morning.
October 21, 2010 at 12:30 pm
The scarf really adds a nice punch to his outfit. Plus, he has a great smile!! :)
P.S. He looks like he has nice arms. And I agree — nice butt!
October 21, 2010 at 12:40 pm
Pure simple. I like the look.
October 21, 2010 at 12:47 pm
Love him, hate his scarf.
October 21, 2010 at 12:48 pm
What a handsome man!
He looks so good and selfconfident! A+!!!
October 21, 2010 at 12:50 pm
I think it appeals to me so much because there is a certain contrast: the scarf says he is a tamed gentleman, while the uprolled sleeves testify he is a wild carpenter)))I hope he is single. I hope he feels for women) Hop eto run into him on a street.
Thank you, Scott!
October 21, 2010 at 12:54 pm
Yes it absolutely does! In many ways… I just can't help myself, this man is very easy on the eyes. Nice…… um smile too!
October 21, 2010 at 1:03 pm
That beard and that smile. Waow!
October 21, 2010 at 1:06 pm
What a hot man!
Fashion, Art and other fancies
October 21, 2010 at 1:22 pm
He reminds me of the local builders here in Paris – rugged, untamed and yet so cultivated and carefree – see scarf and smile;-)
October 21, 2010 at 1:26 pm
i always love men with scarf…your photos are so inspiring, i'm not a boy and i can't use hardly ever their ideas for dressing but i have my pc full of your photos of men!so stylist!
October 21, 2010 at 1:34 pm
Very yummy! The outfit AND that man!

October 21, 2010 at 1:48 pm
he looks like capitaine haddock from tin tin. in a good way.
October 21, 2010 at 1:59 pm
The scarf is a good solution for a low neckline shirt like that, which otherwise might look a bit dull or sluggish.
In fact, the scarf all by itself turns him from a field worker into a man of aristocracy.
(Ok, with a little help from the pants and the watch).
October 21, 2010 at 2:00 pm
That's because it is a great print/pattern and good smile!! ^^
October 21, 2010 at 2:28 pm
The mix of rugged and dapper makes him just plain cool! And he has lovely twinkly eyes, too.
October 21, 2010 at 2:29 pm
I just woke up and took what i saw. Ooh did i say i only have clothes with style.
October 21, 2010 at 2:30 pm
lovely scarf and SMILE!
October 21, 2010 at 2:54 pm
ma sono l'unica a commentare in italiano??!!
October 21, 2010 at 2:55 pm
I like his attitude, which is the best accessory. The scarf does help though, just loosely tied, silk, instead of the shirt and tie. A renaissance in men's wear?
October 21, 2010 at 3:13 pm
Great smile, pullover and watch. Nice gait. So together in style!
October 21, 2010 at 3:15 pm
I like his scarf, the way he rolled up his sleeves, his pants, and his smile. Well I like alot of things in this photograph.
But somehow the scarf isn't necessary. The rest of the outfit suggests that it isn't cold over there, but then he decides to throw a scarf around his neck. The scarf and the rest of the outfit is quite contradictory.
October 21, 2010 at 3:17 pm
This watch is probably the only watch with a silver band that strikes me as both casual and simple.
October 21, 2010 at 3:19 pm
That scarf is so dope.
What Should Men Wear
October 21, 2010 at 3:21 pm
Great example of how a simple look can be juiced up with just one accessory. Not every guy has that ability though:)
October 21, 2010 at 3:48 pm
You are right, a great example of when an accessory makes the outfit!
October 21, 2010 at 4:14 pm
the whole look just works beautifully ~ he's kind of "all man" so the femininity of the scarf balances him out perfectly!
October 21, 2010 at 4:28 pm
Very cool! :)Ju – Brazil
October 21, 2010 at 5:04 pm
I love this picture: elegant because positive, details without fake attitude, no 'dandysh' pose. Real class. Marco
October 21, 2010 at 5:20 pm
aaahhhh what a sexy man. the perfect combination of roughness and refinement, laughter and naughtiness….who cares about the scarf.
October 21, 2010 at 5:22 pm
oh god no–not another cigarette photo. He is handsome and lean and I adore his beard and moustache but can't help think how much he would smell of stale smoke–a real turnoff. Why do grown men need what really is a dummy, to walk around with? Please men out there, you really don't need that crux!! :) You are all more sexy without.
October 21, 2010 at 5:32 pm
His greatest accessory is his smile …and the blue scarf ain't bad either
October 21, 2010 at 5:55 pm
looks a little out of place on this lumberjack though…
October 21, 2010 at 6:02 pm
I love scarves, neckerchiefs, foulards, etc. on men.
And I don't dislike this scarf per se, but it looks like an afterthought, — or perhaps it's being worn on a dare, and he's just goofing with us. (Definitely does not hang together!)
As for the nasty cigarette habit; Pointless to belabour the issue. That's who he is. Scott is a photojournalist, not a policeman from Dept. of Health & Welfare.
October 21, 2010 at 6:04 pm
So well put together!
October 21, 2010 at 6:45 pm
Some people just look like someone I would want to hang out with, this guy is one of them, he looks friendly and interesting.
October 21, 2010 at 7:21 pm
je ne sais quoi.
just push up the shirt sleeve, drape this silk scarf and go with the flow.he's enjoying every minute of it.and that's what translates..the 'i love life' attitude in this photo.
October 21, 2010 at 7:55 pm
he's really really sexy!
October 21, 2010 at 8:41 pm
What a beautiful man!! And beautiful smile as well! Reminds me a bit of Stefano Pilati as a style…please tell me he s not gay!!! :)

cigarette? scarf? I thought you were talking about his wallet. The first thing I thought to myself when I saw this photo was "wow, nice smi…woah…nice rump".
October 21, 2010 at 9:39 pm
Best accessory on this guy? Definitely his smile.

A scarf can make a total different <3 And that watch too! I just realized European men love wearing bermuda shorts, don't they?
October 22, 2010 at 2:37 am
It's an ascot, not a scarf goshdarnit.
October 22, 2010 at 4:07 am
is it just me or does the man really has a hot ass? maybe it's just his big fat wallet.
well, i just couldnt help but noticed. needless to say he is one heck of a hot man, I bet we all wish we would look this hot when we are in our 40s (or 50s?)!
anyone knows who this guy is? is he a fashion editor or some sort?

HANDSOME man, and that blue scarf around his neck looks great. Wish he'd have thrown-away the cigarette though. Still, his smile alone works!

Always the simplest accessories make the biggest statements.
October 24, 2010 at 5:33 am
wow. a greta example of stylish, classic, simple AND bold at the same time
October 24, 2010 at 5:12 pm
He's really sexy even though he's not classically good looking.
For all those who can't stand seeing a cig, get over it. Some people smoke. That's life.
This is a fashion blog, not a forum on health or morality.
October 24, 2010 at 7:47 pm
incredibly sexy. new deskptop wallpaper!
October 25, 2010 at 5:55 am
Stating the obvious that some people smoke get over it, is not the point.
The trouble is that cigarettes are lately being portrayed as fashion more than they have been the last decade or two and I feel for such an unhealthy habit, responsible blogging shouldn't portray it this way. Certainly when extremely popular blogs such as this one start doing it regularly one wonders what the consequences could be, and cigarette companies would be ecstatic.
But hey, maybe the Sart sees ciggies as fashion statements, which is fine, however, I will also want to talk about them as part of fashion/style, if my comments are able to be accepted this way.And I still say nothing stylish about a smelly ciggie.
October 25, 2010 at 12:27 pm
I'm guessing your pointing to the scarf but what got my attention was the watch first.

Wow, it makes a tremendous difference, it gives depth (and obviously style).
October 26, 2010 at 8:33 am
Fit and glam…
October 26, 2010 at 8:49 am
Gee, what a natural MAN. My new pin up. I am always complaining about that bearded fellow you feature often. But his guy's beard belongs on him.
He looks wonderful in his scarf and has escaped the twee look that fashionable me often have.
October 26, 2010 at 1:01 pm
I don't know which accessory I prefer, the smoke or the booty … well, anyone can smoke but the booty, that's got to be genetic
October 26, 2010 at 4:52 pm
Beautiful man. Not good looking but beautiful.
October 26, 2010 at 7:17 pm
Finally, a jolly Parisian!
October 26, 2010 at 10:30 pm
I really need a man like this in my life.
October 27, 2010 at 6:00 am
A great shot Scott.
For those that were wondering, the scarf is by Lanvin and not Hermes. I'm fortunate enough to have bought one this week.
It has a silk front and a wool/cashmere lining.
All the best,
October 27, 2010 at 9:41 am
That scarf is pretty amazing, a very camp look.
October 27, 2010 at 7:03 pm
Perfect blend of casual and style. His smile is what really sets him apart, though, seems sincere. And, of course, he's got that whole crazy-sexy-thing going on, so that's a help…thanks for the photo!
October 28, 2010 at 2:38 pm
Beautiful man. The style is nothing special but he's so easy going that anything could be good on him.Gabriele

That man is s-e-x-y!
Ce charmant sourire, ces yeux pétillants, cette barbe, ce négligé-soigné, combiné à juste ce qu'il faut de muscles (ce derrière rebondi…), je fonds!
How old can he be? I want one just like that!
He seems to have one foot in Paris, the other in North American wilderness.

There he is again! My favourite Sartorialist subject.. and still a mystery man after all this time. Another man i want to be a feminine equivalent of. Hmm. that probably looks odd.
Seriously, this fellow always looks chic and masculine. His personal touches in accessories, or whatever it is, lif his attire out of the ordinary. Not that there’s a lot of ‘ordinary’ on this blog.
