Absolutely gorgeous! One day if I have a daughter I would absolutely want her to dress like this little girl. Its so rare to see young girls dressed so elegantly and age appropriately! Let this be an example to all those young girls that want to grow up too fast and opt for skin bearing options! This proves true elegance can be reaped at any age! You've got an amazing eye Scott – keep it up :)

It is SO NICE to see a young, well dressed girl. Where i live, the national uniform for girls aged 6-25 is short-shorts or black tights as pants, ugg boots or thongs and singlet shirt with exposed bra.
She looks absolutely adorable. Well done her and her parents!
October 22, 2010 at 2:20 am
Its a very creative ensemble: the shoes and socks go very well with the three quarters trousers against the backdrop of an unusually long cardigan!
October 22, 2010 at 3:20 am
she incarnates the idea of a beautiful and cheeky-smart teenage British chic girl, love it!
October 22, 2010 at 3:42 am
oh my..such a cuty =)
October 22, 2010 at 3:46 am
As said by others, she's so perfectly dressed and so suitably for her age. Thank you for this heartwarming picture, which breathes much needed hope for the future.
Would like to see honest serious discussion about definitions of 'beauty' that go further than easy "s/he's rebelling" explanations. Why, for example, do beautiful delicately featured women plunk heavy ugly 1950s men's eyeglass frames on their faces? What's so attractive/fun/expressive about looking scruffy and dirty?
'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,' I know, but I'd really like to understand what's behind such choices, if possible.

I would better rename her: Classic Young London…
I love her shoes, what she has in her hair, but I really don't like the key attached to her neck… it's too classic for my taste.

I wanted to cry with joy when I saw this photo. If only more little girls dressed in such a personal and expressive way. I see far too many in clothing that only advertises their sexuality in a disturbingly precocious way. She is such a delight!

I love this picture and would employ her as a child model anyday. She is just a classic example of a beautiful complexion, the pale skin, gorgeous freckles, sharp blue eyes and blonde hair……..fabulous.
October 22, 2010 at 2:59 pm
Sigh. One of my favorite pictures now. Perfect combination, age appropriate, even the way she holds herself is charming. Ditto to everything positive said before me!

She is soo cuteee. cupcakemonster almost. naah jk (about the cupcakemonster thing not her absolute cuteness). but her style is ahhmmaazziiing.

This is such a cute girl with such a cute outfit..I love the birdcage necklace.
October 22, 2010 at 4:38 pm
Beautiful! Like a modern Sarah Crewe, or like Hermoine Granger but cooler, with her lovely curls. I want to be her. The pretty pastels and neutrals, the oxfords, crops, classic gold jewelry, and blouse – so 1950's and yet so now! I admire her for wearing structured, real clothing, not just jeans and a tee-shirt, for her casual wear…practically no one in America ever tries this, regardless of age. Her confidence shows in the picture as much as it must in real life through her tailored ensemble. Classy, yet not too "done." The essence of style. I think I may have to move to London…
October 22, 2010 at 4:54 pm
I would so wear this. It would be insane if you put this together herself. If so, she's going to be big in fashion one day.

i often wish that when i was little i had worn over the top outfits. like this girl with her accessories and carefully silly socks and shoes.
i feel like it would have given me a head start and then when clothes started to matter more to me, i would be used to experimenting and having lots of fun with them…
October 22, 2010 at 11:55 pm
Is she real??
She really looks heavenly perfect! Want my (future) child dress like this little Coco Chanel!

there is nothing better than to see a young girl dressed classy and age appropriate
October 23, 2010 at 5:07 am
first thing that came to mind ? … Madonna in the 80's :D
October 23, 2010 at 5:15 am
Love this pic. So young and already so much natural style. Love the 2 tone shoes and the colour palate of her entire look. Go girl!
October 23, 2010 at 5:44 am
Wow. She is so stylish in a way that goes beyond fashion. I'm 15, it took me basically until last year to realise that I could have my own style, even though I'm not a 'grown-up'.
October 23, 2010 at 6:28 am
She must be the coolest little girl ever!
October 23, 2010 at 7:03 am
wow, this girl exactly knows what to wear and how to combinate things ! her style is amazing ! especially those shoes with the sox ! if she goes on like that (which i'm sure she will !) she could become a fashion icon one day ! ;) not everyone has this gift ! especially not when they are still that young !
October 23, 2010 at 7:33 am
stupenda very beutiful il look
October 23, 2010 at 7:57 am
i love it when i see young stylish people. why did i ever look so sloppy when i was young?
October 23, 2010 at 10:46 am
so chic!! fashion doesn't need to be trop cher to look good or to be relevant, that blouse and her sweater are both from H&M!
October 23, 2010 at 2:35 pm
I want to be her friend!
She's that effortlessly chic.

October 24, 2010 at 2:52 am
She puts me to shame!
October 24, 2010 at 8:44 am
Classic Londonite style.
October 24, 2010 at 9:50 am
if she dressed herself or will learn to dress herself like this she is AMAZING like beyond woww stands out among a crowd of average "young londoners"
October 24, 2010 at 9:52 am
i know one of this girl's family members or even she is reading this so: you are amazing! so original and cool, you could even consider modeling because you have the perfect features..but get into something even better because you are stunning + stunningly dressed !
October 24, 2010 at 10:03 am
She is fabulous, I would have given anything at this age to be so hip! I love her jewels and the way she is accessorized. Someone asked if she did it herself, I believe she did. The whole looks is just too personal to have been contrived by someone else. Fantastic!
October 24, 2010 at 10:38 am
So much more appealing then celeb kids who have stylist. She has her own natural sense of style that isn't at all contrived or beyond her age.
October 24, 2010 at 10:41 am
innocently beautiful! :) visit my blog too, by the way! hechoayer.wordpress.com
October 24, 2010 at 11:41 am

October 24, 2010 at 12:23 pm
I love the way her feet are. It's the same pose than the one with the little girl from Soho. Love it :)
October 24, 2010 at 12:33 pm

Honey, fashion is coming

October 24, 2010 at 3:13 pm
Yay! I love it when you feature kids! No awkward tweeniness going on here. Stylish, smart, fashion forward and age appropriate. And yet the way she is standing is quintessentially youthful. Well done, Miss! Love the whole composition of the shot overall. Well done to you to, Sr. Sart.

October 25, 2010 at 8:21 am
the whole look is just absolutely gorgeous!
October 25, 2010 at 8:24 am
I love how "put together" this young lady is. I would have to say right out of the gate, her Spectator flats with the casually rolled down socks are the most striking part of her ensemble. Then you've got the rest, whats not to love? She is a wonder and I love her accessories. Looks like she may have raided Mom's jewels for her necklace and I love the scarf in her hair. She's a knock out!
October 25, 2010 at 10:17 am
can't stop looking at this picture!!she's adorable and at the same time elegant, and feminine. keep up with these kind of photos. It really makes me eyes pleasant :)
October 25, 2010 at 11:07 am

I would have never thought of adding a necklace to that top, and yet that adds so much to the whole look…. it would have been plain without the necklace and scarf! brilliant
