I'm a Sartorialist since the very beginning of your blog and I'm 100% Roman. What a shame I'm too shy for this memorable opportunity! Well, you never know, I might even be brave and pop in this Sunday!
Thats great!!! brilliant idea, its so much nicer having "real" stylish people than models!!! Im sure youre going to do a beautiful work and good luck to everyone!
Thats great!!! brilliant idea, its so much nicer having "real" stylish people than models!!! Im sure youre going to do a beautiful work and good luck to everyone!
i'm from Rome… but i'm too shy and i'm not so beautiful… what a pity! a little suggestion for you: visit the Roman Castles… you'll fall in love with the great atmosphere!!
I have lived in Rome for a while now… but I'm not italian, does it count? I hope not, I'll definitely be there, even if that means I'll only get my booked signed:)
congratulations it sounds like it's going to be fun and I wish I was in Rome so I could checkout the local cast. I'm sure I wouldn't qualify myself but then that's one of the reasons I love your blog, it's where I get ideas and learn. I look forward to seeing the results of your new project.
Ahhh what a shame, I left Italy some years ago… if only I had known!
I really liked the OVS campaign last summer! I saw it in full in the newspaper I read when I'm back home on holiday… actually it was I big surprise to see The Sartorialist's pictures on my favourite Italian newspaper.
I live in Rome, I'd looooooove to meet you there! I'm working though, what a shame :( Enjoy Rome anyway! (Is Garance there too? As a french I'd love meeting her too!) :)
Cool! I'm resident at Rome, I live and work here (I have a roman accent too)… but I wasn't born here… Can I make it??? I would be there sunday to prove!
This is very exciting… except for one thing. Your blog does not feature "all sizes". Dont get me wrong, I love this blog, check it every day, got the book, but while you do occasionally feature larger men, you never feature larger ladies. In the book there is ONE picture of a larger lady, and I never see them on the site, Love your work, it is a fashion fantasy, but please, I think most of your readers will know that there is a distinct lack of variety in sizes. I'm not talking about showing obese women here, but some ladies more than a UK 12 would be a start!
I was ready to hop on the first train to Rome…till I read 'people should be from Rome'. That's how much I love the idea and this blog and also because you'll never happen to be in the most un-stylish city (Brescia) where I now live. Can't wait to see the campaign!!
I'll be in Rome this weekend from Florence but leaving on Sunday at 2pm! What a shame. I'll be dressing my best in hopes to run into you, please make your way to Firenze next.
You and Coco Chanel are who inspired me to never leave the house "undone."
aaaaaahhh… tell me when there is a casting in New York :) -sigh- lucky girls in Rome. They not only live in the heart of fashion but also, for me, they are very lucky to be "aware" of their culture & beauty! bella!
I would like so much to come…if only I was less shy and more cool… If you have some free time, come to visit the MAXXI museum, where I work. We would be glad to have you there! It's not too far. Have a nice time in Rome! Giulia
Oh, I'm really sure it will be another successful campaign for OVS and I'm even more sure that next year they would like to repeat the experience… so be advised that next casting will have to be held in Florence, ok? ;)
I live in Rome, i'm from Rome but the november 7th i am not in town :( it's crazy that thing, i'm not so lucky…
Anyway, i appreciate so much your work, and i saw you one day in New york outside Alexander Wang fashion show. I hope that one day i'll talk with you, and i hope i'll have another chance to participate at a casting organized by you.
