I concur with the ‘classy’ comment, and I include ‘elegant.’ To me the cut of this suit has a 1940s feel.

November 17, 2010 at 9:13 pm
Rare (sadly) are the times I have a "WOW" moment when I see clothing these days. But I have to say, this guy's suit coat is one of them.
That stunning blue (with white pinstripes) against his black hair, dark eyes and black tie with a white shirt. WOW. Fantastic, great-looking without being "over the top" like so many styles.

November 17, 2010 at 11:59 pm
I hope you found yourself a good suit. I like the color the silk handkerchief brings to the photo xxxhttp://reallyliteral.blogspot.com/
November 18, 2010 at 12:19 am
I noticed that his shoulder appears to be rimpled, is this for design? Or is that just how it breaks in? Either way it looks good.
November 18, 2010 at 12:21 am
Nice but there are tucks in the head of the sleeve!
February 25, 2014 at 9:59 am
These pleats or shirring are typical of Neopolitan tailors who are seeking to contruct a very comfortable coat (jacket) with the minimum of padding. Here the suit is worn in a slightly looser fashion and I think the peak lapels add interest. I have have seen a similar suit with peak lapels where is it is constructed as three buttons rolled to two and with patch pockets and this just looked like “lets throw in the kitchen sink” but here the cloth and fabric weight mean its ended up as a suit most of us would be proud to own. Good spread on the collar and a nice blade to the tie all help as well.

November 18, 2010 at 9:52 am
This idea of a double breasted lapel on a single breasted jacket still doesn't work for me… trying too hard comes to mind.Loving the cut-away collar on the shirt and the sharp tie – nice work.
November 18, 2010 at 10:11 am
There is a reason men should keep their hands out of their pockets.Sweet face, but the look is nothing special. Except for the pocket square that is playfully, not square.
November 18, 2010 at 10:14 am

I never comment on your site, but hot damn!! he is damn good looking!
November 18, 2010 at 11:47 pm
I had a suit like this in '77, but it was a navy pinstripe. I like the idea of a peak lapel on a single-breasted jacket, but only for certain really dressy occasions. This guy cuts quite the bella figura – kind of an Italian James Bond. The spread of the collar, and the width of the tie – looks like 3.75" – are perfectly proportioned with the lapels.
November 19, 2010 at 12:07 pm
Oh!? There's a suit in this picture?

November 22, 2010 at 12:19 pm
Dear Number Two: Your navy tie is melting my heart.
November 22, 2010 at 3:11 pm
as usually too elegant…the really curious thing is that usually Gian Luca is more elegant than in this pic….who knows the sartoria ripense and bought a suit there….will never change anymore tailor and, above all, made-to-mesure shoes made by shoemakers Bocache & Salvucci…. it is without doubt the best tailor in Rome

This man is gorgeous! I am partial to beards but not as partial as a man wearing a suit. I LOVE a man in a suit. Yet alone, a stunningly handsome Italian in a beautiful suit… thump, thump, thump!

RE: the sleeve looks pretty sloppy – I tend to agree, but have seen people explain on here that it is, in fact, a sign of a “good” suit – same comment regarding some puckers on others that I would be taking to my tailor to get smoothed out. Guess I have better suits than I thought – LOL!
