I love the bowtie
The Man Who Knew Too Much
March 26, 2009 at 11:31 am
Wow, she is cute! Especially the bow-tie makes her really adorable. The coat and the titghs are fantastic on her as well.
March 26, 2009 at 11:33 am
Very, very nice leggs !!!!
March 26, 2009 at 11:34 am
so perfect. girl crush
March 26, 2009 at 11:35 am
olala! sexy look! coat fits to her legs perfectly! :)
March 26, 2009 at 11:38 am
Woah, I love this “oversized mens wear meets sexy chic” look. Probably not for me, but it looks great on her! :D Leave it to a recession to bring out the creativity in the world’s closets… :)
March 26, 2009 at 11:42 am
Wow. She’s too cute. I love the whole look. I suddenly feel the need to rock a bow tie.
March 26, 2009 at 11:47 am
Women should rock bow ties. Well done.
March 26, 2009 at 11:50 am
Obviously very sexy, but this outfit makes her look a bit too much like an off-duty cocktail waitress.
March 26, 2009 at 11:51 am
LOVE HER LOOK
March 26, 2009 at 12:06 pm
New uniform for the Amtrak sleeper class stewards. They’re trying to increase ridership.
Seriously, though, I’d like it if her skirt/shorts were just as couple of inches longer – to improve the balance. Right now it’s “coat and legs” rather than “outfit”.
March 26, 2009 at 12:07 pm
sexy. she knows what she’s doing.
March 26, 2009 at 12:08 pm
So original and even more so -CUTE! This outfit made my day! (Yes, unfortunetely my day was very boring!) xxx
March 26, 2009 at 12:09 pm
super cute, perfect if her hair would have been up. imho.
March 26, 2009 at 12:10 pm
Too cute! a female chuck bass! but with better taste lol
March 26, 2009 at 12:12 pm
Lovely look. Very girly and chic.
March 26, 2009 at 12:14 pm
flawless. personally-add some interesting leggings or tights, but the jacket/shirt/bowtie… fantastic.
March 26, 2009 at 12:15 pm
i like thisshe looks really cute
March 26, 2009 at 12:22 pm
Blazer and super mini skirt is soooo lovely. Can’t wait till spring comes!
March 26, 2009 at 12:23 pm
love the bow tie with the short skirt. great way to rock both very femme and masculine looks.
March 26, 2009 at 12:25 pm
Wow. She’s hot! Very understated hot. The bowtie gives an innocent kind of of cover to what is a darker and dirtier side of her.
March 26, 2009 at 12:28 pm
March 26, 2009 at 12:29 pm
You must be very young (with no job) to wear such a short skirt. Looks cute.
March 26, 2009 at 12:40 pm
great look. but all i can think about are those terrific canvas frames…want, want!
March 26, 2009 at 12:47 pm
really cool look. brava
March 26, 2009 at 12:54 pm
Cute, but what was she wearing underneath? very short skirt?
March 26, 2009 at 1:00 pm
A bow tie on a girl, that’s a novel idea. Cute, cute, cute.
March 26, 2009 at 1:07 pm
Having nice legs is no excuse to forget to put on one’s pants. The bow tie is nice but it’s crooked and it is driving me crazy!
March 26, 2009 at 1:11 pm
from the whole outfit, I mostly love the jacket.
the rest is boring and seems .. incomplete.
for me it’s quite a nonsense to combine a Jacket (winter, cold, snow) with some ..socks? :|it’s ridiculous. girl, better dress up those legs or you’re gonna suffer from hypothermia!
March 26, 2009 at 1:17 pm
Love the pea coat, blue shirt and bow tie.
The overall effect is to make this model look very young. Can this photo be considered child porn?
March 26, 2009 at 1:22 pm
you’ve been there b4? Athletic garbed pic of young man?
March 26, 2009 at 1:29 pm
March 26, 2009 at 1:32 pm
Perfect. Great details in the coat, bow tie, hair tucked behind the ears, handbag, shoes and gloves. Great sense of proportion with the coat, skirt and leg length. And a lovely sense of style.
March 26, 2009 at 1:47 pm
Love the buttons on the jacket and LOVE the bowtie. And are those purple gloves she’s holding? Beautiful!
The Calvin Show
March 26, 2009 at 1:59 pm
I see this image and see something more. I see someone who, at the drop of a dime, will whip off that gorgeous coat to engage in a fun tap dance.
Corny…I know. But my mind just goes there.
The Concrete Commentator
March 26, 2009 at 2:00 pm
Cute.. got to love that bow tie. Love her coat too
March 26, 2009 at 2:06 pm
I am completely in love….what a splendid outfit!
March 26, 2009 at 2:07 pm
One of the best female fits I’ve seen in a long, long time. I’m actually kind of in love with her right now.
March 26, 2009 at 2:17 pm
Nice coat, wish i could wear it in my country though. Its forever sunny. The shoes are great. Does these kind of shoes have some name? oxford something..
March 26, 2009 at 2:19 pm
Head-turner, for sure. Great proportions with the cut of her clothing. Her skirt might be just a bit too short, but if she is not embarrassed, no one one else should be. This photo infers soomeone that is very confident in herself and she knows she looks great. Great lighting and master background, Sart.
March 26, 2009 at 2:45 pm
i’ve returned to school full-time and there are lots of the 18y.o. girls wearing just a tee shirt as a dress but not any longer than what you’re showing here – no tights. I love showing off my legs but for me there’s a difference in showing off my legs and my crotch.
i’m just saying’ ladies making it work doesn’t have to mean looking like it’s for sale. that said, this young woman has exercised some sophistication color choice and elements.
- 40 with great gams
March 26, 2009 at 2:46 pm
I’d marry her on the spot.
March 26, 2009 at 2:47 pm
thank goodness she is not doing that pigeon toed thing. uuuchhc!
March 26, 2009 at 3:00 pm
March 26, 2009 at 3:02 pm
I love this. I’ve been wanting to incorporate bow ties into my personal style for so long. She pulls it off so well.
March 26, 2009 at 3:16 pm
Beautiful girl, but if she were my younger sister, I’d make her wear a longer skirt.
March 26, 2009 at 3:23 pm
Such great legs ! I’m on love with her jacket !! fabulous !
March 26, 2009 at 3:25 pm
They have got to be shorts!?!?
If not, the skirt is way too short. How could one possibly sit down?!?!
Then, again, be it shorts or a skirt, it’s too short. Proportion is lost between the knee and bottom of the coat. And it’s during the day, nighttime maybe, but during the day???
March 26, 2009 at 3:35 pm
I love this look– chic and adorable, classy and sassy.
March 26, 2009 at 4:13 pm
yummy. legs, yummy. tie, yummy. light colored buttons, yummy. stockings, yummy. purple gloves? super yummy!!!!
March 26, 2009 at 4:14 pm
Love the bow tie and the sexy proportions. Hot look.
March 26, 2009 at 4:17 pm
I LOVE IT x
March 26, 2009 at 4:40 pm
So gossip girl.
March 26, 2009 at 4:52 pm
March 26, 2009 at 5:00 pm
woah….she is sexy
March 26, 2009 at 5:02 pm
Love it. I want that coat.
March 26, 2009 at 5:21 pm
perhaps only women should be allowed to wear bow ties.
although, with legs like hers, i couldn’t care less if she had a bow tie or not.
ps. her shoes are cute too.
March 26, 2009 at 5:22 pm
is skirt off sick?
March 26, 2009 at 5:25 pm
Hey Scott! This is what I was looking for NY! :-)))Best Nata T
March 26, 2009 at 5:31 pm
How’s that on the street??? That’s at Pier 59 studio. when are you ever really going to go outside the fashion industry. All you do is shoot the fashion people behind the curtain that the commoner would not recognize.
March 26, 2009 at 5:33 pm
Adorable girl. I like like her eyebrows…She’s slightly similar to Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl, don’t you think?
March 26, 2009 at 5:53 pm
very cute. i love short skirts too! she actually made me comment for the first time. lovely.
March 26, 2009 at 5:54 pm
So lovely, this is chic but still completely sexy :)
March 26, 2009 at 6:06 pm
I think it’s a cute outfit on a cute girl. Kind of like she’s going to start a new ACDC band without the booze and the boys. (c:
I agree with anonymous above regarding the pigeon toed stance – thank goodness. Dreadful affected malady that one.
And of course, nice contrasting buttons on that jacket!
March 26, 2009 at 6:13 pm
This girl is gorgeous and the outfit suits her so well! As I guy, I would love to own that tie myself (and the pea coat too, for that matter)…on her, it’s super sexy; on a man, it would be super sophisticated.
March 26, 2009 at 6:38 pm
I’m in love again!
March 26, 2009 at 6:52 pm
Hi Sarorialist readers it’s me Arizona!I was so obliged when Scot asked ot take my photo. The peacoat was an old Christmas gift from my mom, purple leather gloves, a Dries van Noten bowtie, and yes I AM wearing shorts.(I was wearing suspenders so they kep sliding up! Ph well)
I’m only 20 and wearing meswear is fun! you can still me funa nd girly in a bowtie and suspenders for sure.(To everyone’s suprise Patrick Ervell added a female to his runway line up for SS09! Coincidence?)
Thanks for all the kind comments!Arizona K.
March 26, 2009 at 7:02 pm
Really love the jacket, the bow-tie and the shoes! Great!
But to make the look perfect, she should wear the shorts a bit longer and make something with her hair?? The hair so dark and like that doesn’t match much with the bow-tie so dark.
March 26, 2009 at 7:41 pm
I’ve been known to stroll around in a bow tie and peacoat. Not to the same effect, it has to be said.Great outfit. And very cute.
March 26, 2009 at 7:43 pm
She really knows what she’s doing. Incredible taste! Not only the bowtie, but the crocodile clutch, gold buttons and burgundy accents. A very upscale ivy league look. Beautiful.
March 26, 2009 at 7:50 pm
Where did you took this picture?
She looks lovely.
March 26, 2009 at 8:26 pm
March 26, 2009 at 8:38 pm
Nice to see a healthy girl’s legs! I love the outfit. It would probably appear more balanced if the coat was open a fraction to reveal the shorts more – right now she does look like she forgot to put something on…albeit in a good, early Liza Minelli way…
This is the second pic in a row which has reminded me of my own sartorial youth, I still own the shorts and suspenders. Most enjoyable to see again!
March 26, 2009 at 8:39 pm
wow, i check this blog everyday and i was shocked when i opened it today because i know this girl. she went to my highschool. she always had great style
March 26, 2009 at 9:00 pm

March 26, 2009 at 9:13 pm
Very wonderful. I feel I am waiting for her to tap dance!
March 26, 2009 at 9:45 pm

March 26, 2009 at 10:22 pm
God… she has great legs!
March 26, 2009 at 10:24 pm
methinks she forgot something…what a sassy yet conservative cocktail waitress uniform.
March 26, 2009 at 10:37 pm
Arizona Kay! Loves your style girl
March 27, 2009 at 2:01 am
Wow, this is probably my favorite look in a while. Great all around!
March 27, 2009 at 4:14 am
Hm very nice. I wonder what types of jobs you could get away with wearing those shorts to work at? serious question, by the way!
March 27, 2009 at 4:28 am
Great outfit, beautyful girl. Thanks for posting!
March 27, 2009 at 6:32 am
she is cute, but i’m not sure about the length of her skirt)
March 27, 2009 at 6:49 am

March 27, 2009 at 8:57 am
I love when women can introduce menswear into their wardrobe with ease and confidence. Great find, Mr. Sartorialist.
March 27, 2009 at 9:07 am
Little Lord Fauntleroy
March 27, 2009 at 9:58 am
this woman is beautiful.
March 27, 2009 at 10:05 am
Not crazy about this look. It appears she has no pants on.
March 27, 2009 at 10:29 am
Wait, does she have short shorts on?? Whatever, it’s a lovely, mysterious look.
March 27, 2009 at 11:03 am
She is OWNING this ensemble.
March 27, 2009 at 11:59 am
LOVE, so Blair W. so GG so my style….!
March 27, 2009 at 12:16 pm
She’s really lovely and confident, but I have to say I’m really really bored with the Pea coat, men’s tie, oxford shoe thing.
Great shot, though!
March 27, 2009 at 12:27 pm
Nice and good original sexy look
March 27, 2009 at 1:28 pm
Looks like an ALEXANDER OLCH bow !
March 27, 2009 at 1:55 pm
Arizona – I love the shoes! Where did you get them?
March 27, 2009 at 1:56 pm
not that i’m not a man of mini’s and tunic’s, but i really don’t like the perfect alignment of the pea with the skirt. too structured.
she is gorgeous though.
March 27, 2009 at 2:44 pm
The bowtie and jacket with its buttons make for a very charming look! Her legs look great in those tights!
March 27, 2009 at 3:30 pm
Well, I guess you need a good pair of pins these days!
March 27, 2009 at 3:52 pm
i love everything about this
Alan (my planet is mars)
March 27, 2009 at 4:33 pm
Absolutely stunning. What a beautiful young woman
March 27, 2009 at 4:38 pm
The Little Lord Fauntleroy comment made me lol!
I like her shoes. I do think she could cover up the legs a little more. I think the bareness is accented by the peacoat. If it were a warm weather outfit, without the peacoat, it probably wouldn’t be so distracting. But I agree that there’s a difference between showing off and saying it’s for sale.
Most adult women cannot easily amble the streets of NYC in clothing that makes them look so vulnerable and exposed. Trust me, as nice as it sounds in theory, having men follow you down the street or down the subway while mesmerized by your legs isn’t enjoyable as it might seem.
March 27, 2009 at 6:37 pm
I could love this girl. If you are reading this, go out on a date with me?
March 27, 2009 at 7:46 pm
She must marry me
March 27, 2009 at 8:28 pm
where are her pants?the rest of her looks lovely
March 28, 2009 at 1:52 am
Love the whole look, especially the bow tie, just wish her shorts (?) were a little longer.
March 28, 2009 at 12:55 pm
March 28, 2009 at 3:15 pm
I get the gossip girl reference, her face looks just like Chucks.
March 28, 2009 at 4:46 pm
Nice legs but did she know she forgot her pants/skirt?
March 28, 2009 at 5:30 pm
this is great
March 28, 2009 at 6:08 pm
She stole my shoes!!Love the outfit though – very sweet – I think high collar detail works well in balancing the bareness of the legs.
March 28, 2009 at 7:19 pm
right, officially raiding my friends wardrobe.(he actually dresses like chuck bass on a day to day basis)i lovelovelove the background too, is it like an art studio or something?
March 28, 2009 at 7:36 pm
bowtie? i didn’t even notice. i just can’t stop looking at her gorgeous legs.
Danger is my middle name
March 28, 2009 at 8:12 pm
the peacoat makes the legs look even more naked.
March 29, 2009 at 1:06 pm
EXACTLY !! I DO agree ! she looks like Chuck Bass haha
March 29, 2009 at 2:18 pm
J’aime bien les chaussures, associées au caban, c’est parfait !!
March 29, 2009 at 2:25 pm
it looks very chic, but it looks like she’s not wearing anything on her legs.
March 29, 2009 at 2:50 pm
She IS adorable, but during a recent London trip I found this mini-skirt craze a bit of a drag, especially if you wish to be polite and not stare, say as when the wind blows, or when one bends over…
There is a Calvino story about this in Palomar. To stare, not to stare, stare…
March 29, 2009 at 11:21 pm
She is one of the cutest girls I have ever seen. I actually like the bow tie as well.
March 30, 2009 at 4:29 am
The look is both cute and elegant, I love it.
March 30, 2009 at 10:15 am
perfect legs, much?envious but loving it.
March 30, 2009 at 10:25 am

Lucy in the Sky
March 30, 2009 at 2:26 pm
REALLY cute! those are super short shorts (are those even shorts?) but her outfit still looks polished (and fun!)
March 30, 2009 at 2:49 pm
what i cute outfit, i want the whole thing!
March 31, 2009 at 1:21 pm
She’s got gorgeous style!!
March 31, 2009 at 3:55 pm
April 1, 2009 at 11:42 am
I’m impressed by her daringsness. It would be impossible wearing her outfit in the streets of Germany. Pretty nice style. Not too much but still enough.
April 2, 2009 at 4:13 pm
I love the buttons on her jacket
April 2, 2009 at 9:15 pm
The bow tie, the purple gloves hidden under her crocodile purse and the cutesiness of her smile simply make her adorable.I wonder though if she is going to high school?
April 3, 2009 at 6:50 pm
She wear it well. How sweet. Love her purple gloces tucked away behind her clutch.

April 7, 2009 at 2:13 am
Love it! Women should rock bow ties. There’s a designer in Denver that designs some specifically for girls…tyesbytara.com, I think. Love the look.
donna AND navaz
April 11, 2009 at 1:33 pm
Love the female dandy look. And all these comments about the too-short skirt (eyeroll), maybe she’s wearing shorts? Anyway, the modest shoes and opaque tights balance it all out for me.
May 12, 2009 at 6:16 pm
June 27, 2009 at 12:45 am
Very cute. The bowtie adds cheekiness to her outfit. Gorgeous.
August 23, 2009 at 12:51 am
she would accidently find me starring down at her shoes in this outfit…wink wink, absolutely stunning
September 2, 2009 at 11:33 pm

May 12, 2012 at 8:26 pm
I just absolutely love her look, her style. her character. The bow tie just completes it. She looks smart and original.
March 28, 2013 at 8:05 pm
Beautiful Woman… eptitome of Perfection–Alluring and Stylish. Love the subtlety of her purple gloves and bowtie, plus the blue tights highlight her gorgeous legs. She’s sexy and she knows everyone else knows it, but still has that girl next door quality..
