Could anyone tell me what Olivier Zahm does, please?!
April 6, 2009 at 6:06 pm
nice pair of boots
April 6, 2009 at 6:11 pm
Oh gosh! I do adore him and his pictures!
April 6, 2009 at 6:12 pm
I think pants can be too tight. I’m seeing a lot of guys wearing tight to the point of being tights kind of pants and I am just not carried away. The fellow in the Le Marais photo has a little breathing room all around, that seems okay, I guess I’m not a thigh gal.

This is really just filthy. I like the shows, but the rest of the outfit is too “dirty rocker” for my tastes.
April 6, 2009 at 6:22 pm
Looks feminine (hips, legs)
April 6, 2009 at 6:30 pm
He was born in a cross fire hurricane they say.
April 6, 2009 at 6:41 pm
I don’t know who he is, but he looks GOOD!
April 6, 2009 at 6:43 pm

Olivier Zahm [Purple Magazine]The purple winklepickers are rather appropriate!
April 6, 2009 at 7:31 pm
It’s a really great photograph of a man mid-air!! I love the feeling that this is a sudden glimpse that is created by the bodies in the foreground.
However, the clothes themselves feel predictable and not fresh: plaid, super-tight (gray) jeans, pointy shoes, small leather jacket, purple, even the transparent-rimmed aviators…
I know you dislike the expression, Scott, but, unless I’m missing something, it feels a bit too on trend. Most of the people you show us are in their own orbit more so than this guy.
April 6, 2009 at 7:37 pm
awesome. greaaaat shot.
April 6, 2009 at 7:45 pm
He’s definitely got the Cool Factor. Effortless.
April 6, 2009 at 7:46 pm

April 6, 2009 at 8:14 pm
looks like he’s walking on air!
April 6, 2009 at 8:26 pm
appears that he isn’t even touching the ground. Guy is red hot…in a mess kind of way
April 6, 2009 at 8:46 pm
Sorry, but he reminds me of Charles Manson, never a good thing. It must be the hair. I just don’t get what people see in him.
April 6, 2009 at 8:52 pm

April 6, 2009 at 10:14 pm
I agree with some of the above comments, as soon as I saw this pic I thought of Michael Hutchence, very cool, I love this look, great shot!
April 6, 2009 at 10:19 pm
I like this look…sort of poet-maybe past rock star. Plus…he has nice shoes.
April 6, 2009 at 10:52 pm
The pants is cool!
April 6, 2009 at 10:56 pm
Good photograph, the movement caught through the people in the foreground, as another poster said. Also like the orange tram backdrop.. movement is sort of ‘packaged’ here.
The boots look like cowboy boots, very routine where I live now. I’ve nothing to say about the clothes or the man, just like the captured moment.
April 6, 2009 at 11:05 pm
April 6, 2009 at 11:17 pm
very nice shoes. where can i get the shoes or similar pair?
April 6, 2009 at 11:21 pm
Russell Brands older more down to earth brother!!!!
April 6, 2009 at 11:26 pm
No, it’s Javier Bardem playing Michael Hutchence in a biopic.
This kind of rocker look is classic by now.
Amor de Cosmos
April 7, 2009 at 1:02 am
This fellow just goes to show the truth of my lifelong contention that a nice pair of western boots, like the ability to quote Shakespeare or the Old Testament, is a social asset in any crowd. This is as true in Paris or Milan as in Calgary or Drumheller.
April 7, 2009 at 1:19 am
what a nice pointy-purple-shoes !!!!and looak at his leather jacket COOL!
April 7, 2009 at 1:29 am
April 7, 2009 at 1:47 am

April 7, 2009 at 3:05 am
scrolling: starting from the uncombed hair, Aviators , scruffy beard & leather bomber; that's a look I'd Endorse..
the Drawcord, the tights , the brilliant but aliented boots & even the Glide..mmmm that's a No No..
April 7, 2009 at 3:29 am
it rocks, looks great and the situation funny, busy man!
produse de slabit
April 7, 2009 at 3:49 am
I would say that the “poet” part is made by the papers in his hands.
I also like the little bow under his jacket. Delicious!
April 7, 2009 at 4:48 am
the taller guy in the background is less fashion, but very nice too
April 7, 2009 at 5:21 am
killer boots or what!
April 7, 2009 at 6:57 am
As others have said, very Michael Hutchence, but even spookier, Milano looks very Melbourne (and so does he). Goodness knows how the two of you are going to find anyone in Sydney.
April 7, 2009 at 7:04 am
good photograph! i like the drive, the momentum… feminine hips & décolleté, do not like much his hair, though, looks too "fucked up"
A chicette in Paris
April 7, 2009 at 7:10 am
Just how does Olivier keep his hair the perfect amount of French creative craziness? I wonder what it looks like when he leaves the hairdresser!Love his purple shoes!
Kisses from Paris!
April 7, 2009 at 7:26 am
Great shot! One of your best I think.
As to the guy, he looks very cool and the boots make the whole thing
April 7, 2009 at 7:40 am
He is a ravaged adonis.
April 7, 2009 at 8:16 am

April 7, 2009 at 8:18 am

April 7, 2009 at 9:03 am
He is so gorgeous! My ultimate crush. So stylish, so handsome, and such a talented fashionisto!
April 7, 2009 at 9:35 am
He looks very much like Vincent Gallo in his movie Buffalo66 (Gallo wears those same boots, grey thight jeans, hairstyle and the most amazing lead color trucker leather jacket).
April 7, 2009 at 9:38 am
OLIVER ZAHM IS GOING TO SO SO WEAR OUT THAT YSL LEATHER JACKET HE ALWAYS SEEMS TO HAVE ON IN EVERY SINGLE SHOT!!
A LUCKY TALISMAN ME THINK? ITS GREAT WHEN A DUDE FINDS HIS ´FLOW´AND STICKS WITH IT & IN OLIVER´CASE ITS CERTAINLY THE BOOTS/YSL LEATHER/AVIATOR/MEDALLION- OPEN SHIRT CHIC!
ONLY ITEM MISSED IS HIS BELOVED VESPA SCOOTER!!
April 7, 2009 at 9:46 am

April 7, 2009 at 10:46 am
I love the photo and the boots are great
April 7, 2009 at 11:14 am
What a beautiful shot!! The shoes hardly touching the ground, it reminded me of a verse in pre-Islamic Arabic poetry. Beautiful!IB
April 7, 2009 at 12:29 pm
the purple boots rocked the look
April 7, 2009 at 1:19 pm
For some reason, that drawstring bow is bothering me to no end.
That, and if your pants are so tight it’s best to find another place to carry your keys…Overall, though, it’s a jolly look and the plaid shirt is especially nice.
April 7, 2009 at 2:48 pm
Wham, Zahm, thank you ma’am !
April 7, 2009 at 6:39 pm
gold star all around. mmm, love it. would love to be walking with him, hanging on to is hand for dear life.

His style looks like Vincent Gallo.I like the combination of gray denim and wine red colored boots.

So amazing shot !
April 10, 2009 at 5:10 am
My favourite thing is by far the layering – I love it! The way the upturned shirt collar picks up the collar of the leather jacket = effortless perfection
April 11, 2009 at 1:48 am
He is really awesome!
April 11, 2009 at 4:57 am

Great shot! He’s on the go, busy and trying to meet a deadline… he reminds me of a Michael Hutchence with the hair and shades.
