The fur collar in the first picture is so fantastic. While I’ve been longing for Spring, that beauty makes me wish it were cold for a little while longer.
The simplicity of the white t-shirt with the texture and colour of the jacket in the first picture make it work for me. Er, that & the fact the wearer has that coy Carla Bruni thing going on.
I’m usually not a fan of fur, but she looks so fabulous with the fur scarf (top photo). I love the simplicity of her outfit, and topping it off with the blazer and the Chanel bag is very old English-prep and I love it!
Although I prefer the overall look of the first photo, I’m struck by the rather original idea of fur with a leather motorcycle jacket…now I want to give it a try, too!
A little fur goes a long way with style. Love how she keeps the fur collars tonal to her jackets. Must go somewhere where I can wear fur collars. Mine get very little use in LA.
Fur, like pearls, is very flattering next the skin. i like how these photographs show two completely different colours working equally well for the wearer. i love the cut of her jacket in the top pic too.
I love the whole look of the top photo. the outfit is perfect, but it really is about the women behind it that nails it. her confidance, her breezy casualness, and the warmth from her smile…this is what makes this so chic, timeless and original. great photo moment!
I love that the other parts of these ladies' outfits look as if they were going somewhere normal on any given day (if that is possible in Milan & Paris), and then threw something glamorous around their necks that make both ensembles swoon-worthy.
Browsing your website is encouraging me to throw caution to the wind when I dress each day (I live/work in the DC area and everything's so plain here). You only live once and you might as well have fun and look spectacular, even on a "normal" day.
They both look so natural, pretty and stylish! and, they’re both wearing fake fur, which makes the look even better. Real fur is so out!!! out, out, out.
I love the top one, fur in itself is not a bad thing its how you get it, if its simply butchering the animal for its skin then I do not approve but if it didn't suffer and used afterward for their meat or something I don't mind. I just love the top one and her jacket is great too :)
Sandra, when is the last time you ate a mink sandwich? Personally I am fine with fur if its vintage, but tend to stay away from it otherwise, but I don’t think it is really a big problem. Habitat destruction is sort of what gets species on the endangered list. So, really wear all the fur you want. Just try not to have like five kids. It always makes me laugh how people decide to be vegans, get outraged at how badly chickens are treated, throw paint at Anna Wintour, but then have six kids. In the end they did more harm then anyone else.
I have to admit, if you stay here in North America… its a whole different perspective on fur here, than in Europe. Anywhere you go in Europe (did a Europe trip this winter) and you see men and women wearing fur – either jackets, accessories, or fur-collared jackets. Its part of European culture from what I saw. But it is not in North America, which is why its so controversial.
