Love this photo, not only her style but the photo itself – so classically NY with the yellow cab behind her… Big big fan of the blog, keeps me going at work to keep checking it! Can’t wait for your book!
I think this outfit is great with summer just around the corner. I was thinking of styling my friend with in outfit just like this. This is it: http://www.pikkee.com/users/1750010589?page=17
It still needs work (any advice would be great :-D )
But yea, I’m looking forward for more signs of summer (and the outfits)
Simple. Love her black bra peeping from under the red dress. It sort of tells you “I know what I am doing underneath this little dress.” I also like how she draped her jacket (?) across her shoulders, like it is not too precious. Great picture!
Can´t say that i like the red dress two much, but what i really like about this pic is the mixture of colours: the yellow taxi, the blue bike and her red dress.
her face is very charactheristic, as if it tells a story. and red dress makes me so ready for summer. simple but nice style! is she going home? may be to swimming. I also want to see more bikes!
Not just girls in New York… Girls in San Francisco wear cute dresses to ride their bikes! (I say as a girl in a little red dress who rode her bike to work this morning.)
I noticed that phenom of a girl wearing a cute dress while biking here in Marina del Rey, CA. I thought she was a tourist and wasn’t prepared for riding a bike but decided to do it anyway. I’d consider it and would definitely wear a romper. Why not have a little sass while cycling.
She looks fine, but all I can think is OH GOD PLEASE DON’T GET HIT BY A CAB. I know it’s an unpopular view in the world of fashion, but wearing a helmet is mandatory if it WILL save your good-looking head if you get hit by a car…and I it’s true from experience. Maybe it’s not mandatory in a more bike-friendly city, but NY? That’s insane.
Cute girls in Amsterdam (likely the world’s bike CAPITAL!) do the same! Plus heels! Plus children, groceries, purse, cell phone, etc… All while looking absolutely stunning. Go to Amsterdam!
gosh, that’s a cute dress. It’s not that easy to find summery dresses with sleeves, at least from what i’ve found. Strappy dresses are great, but there are days covering up a bit feels more effortless (don’t have to worry about bra lines as much, etc)
I don’t get it. It’s really not that difficult to ride a bike in a dress without revealing everyhing.
And besides: What is so upsetting about getting a glimpse of someones knickers?
Besides the missing helmet and the impractical (and, dare I say, possibly dangerous) ballerina flats, I find it a bit disturbing that she’s riding a man’s bike in a dress. It’s not that hard to ride a bike in a dress, but getting on and off over the high bar without showing your skivvies is somewhat difficult.
i love that style. here in rio you can’t see much of this.. but i think it is quite stylish the way she uses the dress while riding the bike. it is quite ‘old school’ as well..

for those who agree with “the only thing cuter than a girl on a bike in a dress is a girl on a bike in a dress with a helmet”
Better than a helmet, and much more stylish, would be cars that care about their city’s cyclists and give them a little breathing room on the roads.
