OOOh love the striped shirt under the cardie. Nice & comfortable. I'm loving BK style.
June 8, 2009 at 10:51 am
Summer feeling all over,
June 8, 2009 at 10:55 am
how on earth did he find a cardigan to match his dog?Despite the fact that the striped shirt is terribly trendy right now, I still love the simplicity and graphic boldness of his outfit. I also love the puppy Does anyone know the breed: Akita? Finnish Spitz?
June 8, 2009 at 10:56 am
love the shoes :)
June 8, 2009 at 11:01 am
Dog and cardigan in perfect harmony.
June 8, 2009 at 11:12 am
I love the colour of his cardigan and his adorable dog.
BTW: The dog is a Finnish Spitz :
June 8, 2009 at 11:13 am

June 8, 2009 at 11:20 am

A masterclass in relaxed Summer dressing. The splash of colour in the cardigan works so well with the blue and navy of the rest of the look…plus it helps to have a colour co-ordinated dog (Akita I think…)
June 8, 2009 at 11:22 am
that's a shiba inu. i have one named jenga. and i also dress like this guy. i thought it was me for a second!
I wore an outfit like this like a couple of weeks ago . I love mustard cardigans with stripes.(:http://www.fashion-intervention.blogspot.com
June 8, 2009 at 11:25 am
dog's a Shiba Inu – a japanese dog!
June 8, 2009 at 11:28 am
It takes a brave man to pull off orange and walk a fox.
June 8, 2009 at 11:30 am
the doggie's a shiba! i have one, never thought to match him to my ensemble ;)
June 8, 2009 at 11:37 am
The dog looks like an Akita mix, but I'm not sure. Resembles an Akita/Shepherd mix we once had.
June 8, 2009 at 11:38 am
guessing the dog is a shiba inu!
June 8, 2009 at 11:45 am
I think that the dog is a shiba. I love this casual style.. some people just have the skill to look effortlessly cool :)
June 8, 2009 at 11:46 am
Did he know, that you took a photo of him?Hm, I think he did.Recently I read at Jak&Jil, that he (the blogger) likes your perfectionism, that you never take snapshot.
This shade of "orange" is a very touchy color and fits only a few.
The doggy is certainly a love-child of a spitz and a fox :-)))))
A Super Dilettante
I think bright orange colour is definitely in at the moment!!!
June 8, 2009 at 11:49 am
It's not just the color..I love that there is a rhythm to his body and the dog. follow the line from the curve of his rump and the dogs chest..wonderful!
June 8, 2009 at 12:10 pm
@Anonymous (10:55 AM): It looks smaller than a Finnish Spitz. I'd say a Shiba Inu (telltale sign is the 'urajiro', or white underside, from jaw to tail – a distinguishing feature of Shiba Inu's).
The dog is a Shiba Inu – they are a Japanese breed. I also love the dog/cardigan combo.
June 8, 2009 at 12:11 pm
I believe the dog is a Shiba Inu (related to the Akita).
June 8, 2009 at 12:14 pm
the dog is a shiba inu
June 8, 2009 at 12:15 pm
Love the colours!
June 8, 2009 at 12:16 pm
This outfit is summer simplcity
but mainly what I like is how he's squatting, because he looks so childlike and innocent, just a boy with a dog.
June 8, 2009 at 12:21 pm
June 8, 2009 at 12:24 pm
Wow, this look is definitely gonna be my inspiration for the summer. Brilliant. Love the dog as well :)
June 8, 2009 at 12:25 pm
everything works. the outfit, the sunglasses, the haircut, even the dog
June 8, 2009 at 12:33 pm
awesome cardigan color
June 8, 2009 at 12:35 pm
the colour is fresh for the summer…
June 8, 2009 at 12:39 pm
The dog is a Japanese Shiba Inu (remember the shiba inu videocam?): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiba_Inu
June 8, 2009 at 12:47 pm
Not sure how I feel about the matchy pet&owner thing, but he gets points for having a Shiba Inu… That's a style statement in and of itself – I approve!
June 8, 2009 at 1:01 pm
the black and white stripe has been everywhere in nyc since late february.. looks great and not as stale as one would expect by now.
June 8, 2009 at 1:17 pm
June 8, 2009 at 1:22 pm

June 8, 2009 at 2:32 pm
I love that you're coming to my neighborhood in Brooklyn!
June 8, 2009 at 2:52 pm
His hair is wonderful :)
June 8, 2009 at 3:05 pm
I love that the dog and the cardigan mach!
June 8, 2009 at 3:26 pm
LOVE IT. Love the cardigan, love the Shiba Inu. Beautiful!!
I love a touch of orange! It matches the Shiba Inu perfectly – amazing that he is not covered in dog hair as that breed sheds hair by the fistful!
June 8, 2009 at 3:36 pm
Guy looks like the assassin from the movie "traffic". I will not name the breed of the dog as 43 other people have.
June 8, 2009 at 4:10 pm
APC cardigan from this season
June 8, 2009 at 4:13 pm
I've seen this kid around the neighborhood before. Come to think of it-He was wearing stripes and rolled up pants, with Shiba Inu in a bag.
June 8, 2009 at 4:19 pm
I compliment the young man in the photo. It takes imagination to use your dog's shed hair to knit a sweater.
June 8, 2009 at 4:28 pm
Beautiful photo !
June 8, 2009 at 4:37 pm
think the tee and cardigan are APC…
June 8, 2009 at 5:05 pm
Is that the adorable Sidney Prawatyotin? Such a cute pic!!
June 8, 2009 at 5:09 pm

Metro Profiles LA
June 8, 2009 at 5:33 pm
The dog is definitely a Shiba Inu. They are wonderful dogs and of the Spitz family. Even though striped shirts are trendy, I still love them and have many. Nice picture!
June 8, 2009 at 5:45 pm
i adore it all.
the old gold cardiganthe sailor inspired tee
i could go on, but i wont.but i must add- the dog matches and thats soooo beat!
June 8, 2009 at 6:22 pm
Love that owner and pooch are colour coordinated!
June 8, 2009 at 6:25 pm
that cardigan matches the dog, i love it and how the striped shirt goes with it too.
June 8, 2009 at 6:27 pm
Are those espadrilles? The stripe tee is APC, I think. The cardigan is definitely APC.And that dog is a fox.
June 8, 2009 at 6:47 pm
i literally wore the female version of this outfit during the australian summer six months ago.. mustard cardi, same colour bubble shorts.. the colour combination is gorgeous!
as is the dog! :)
June 8, 2009 at 7:21 pm
You can realy feel New York through your photos.
June 8, 2009 at 8:11 pm
I have a huge black and white great dane…and nothing looks cooler than dressing in black and white and walking him…its like a magazine shoot.
June 8, 2009 at 8:13 pm
that colour is gorgeous,, its like a marstard-mandarin combination! and you certainly cant beat a stiped tshirt
June 8, 2009 at 8:45 pm
Is this your first photo that has a dog in it? Love the look by itself, the dig sends it over the moon.
June 8, 2009 at 9:41 pm
the way he and his dog almost match is admirably cute.
June 8, 2009 at 9:48 pm
The dog is a Shiba Inu.
June 8, 2009 at 10:39 pm
The dog is trendy!!!
June 8, 2009 at 10:51 pm
I love how the owner matches his pooch's coat with his orange cardigan.
June 8, 2009 at 10:56 pm
This is Sidney Prawatyotin and his dog Eno (which he typically carries in a bag!). He is the PR guy for NY designer Lela Rose. Adorable!
June 8, 2009 at 11:01 pm
Style points for having a Shiba Inu! I have one too and have found myself subconsciously wearing more autumnal colors and less black. Lovely little foxes!
June 8, 2009 at 11:40 pm
I guess sometimes owners really do resemble their pets.
sorry i only focus on the dog in this pic. it's too adorable that i forget to see the person…
June 9, 2009 at 1:30 am
Very nice, I'm admiring his cardigan.
June 9, 2009 at 2:09 am
i always say that a dog and its owner always resemble one another. this is a great example!
June 9, 2009 at 2:19 am
@Luka Ivanisevic: I love your expression that we can really feel NY through Scott's photos – totally agree!
Love the doggie-cardi color combo as with all the other blog readers :) orange and blue is an unbeatable summer pairing.
His shades rock!
June 9, 2009 at 3:29 am
I always think this shade of orange would wash me out because of my darker complexion. . . I guess not ;) And boy do I love striped shirts (horizontal, vertical, diagonal, etc)!
Anywho, I like how stripes have suddenly become "trendy", because you know, they've never ever in history been around until now. K Bye.
June 9, 2009 at 4:07 am
Sart, please come back to Manhattan!!
June 9, 2009 at 4:09 am
That colour is gorgeous, but the shoes are insignificant. Nice Photo!
June 9, 2009 at 6:08 am
The tee is American Apparel. I'm wearing it right now!
Sophie, the Barton Girl
June 9, 2009 at 6:24 am
How fantastically harmonious! The tshirt and pants; the dog and cardi; the pumps and leash – all the colours tie this lovely pair together in the most composed of ways… whilst achieving a sweet casual look… Perfection, I tell you.You have a unique eye for this sort of thing!
June 9, 2009 at 8:19 am
Curious about the sunglasses, is it a Persol 649?

June 9, 2009 at 10:25 am
i have that sweater!(someone already caught it; apc)
June 9, 2009 at 11:13 am
thats a brilliant color. both dog and cardigan. <3
June 9, 2009 at 3:40 pm
Love the color combo. Such a beautiful shot. Stripes = trendy?!? I guess I've always considered stripes to be so classic and thus impervious to being considered a trend. But then again— I've never met a stripe I didn't like.
June 9, 2009 at 5:16 pm
Pretty sure the cardigan is A.P.C.
June 9, 2009 at 11:26 pm
Wow, GREAT outfit and a lovely dog!

cool pic! They look really cute together, matching perfectly!
June 10, 2009 at 11:29 pm
It's a great photo. While I am not a fan of orange, this combination is great.
Interesting that no one has commented on how strong his legs must be to sit like that, unsupported.
June 11, 2009 at 1:22 pm
is the cardigan from a.p.c.'s spring 09 line?
The Freshman 15

The dog is a Shiba Inu, a Japanese breed with an outlook similar to the smaller version of Akita.
June 13, 2009 at 2:26 pm

June 13, 2009 at 4:45 pm
