July 6, 2009 at 5:44 pm
In red suit, Morrissey's hair and NHS specs 1983
I love the hues in the first image… scarlets… cranberries… plums… corals… in love <3
If I could find a young man that dressed so proper and stylish…! Yet to find one.
Also gushing over the blue python hold-all in the image <3xxx
July 6, 2009 at 5:45 pm
ermmm, i like their ears and their hair…I can't really get that into clothes that are just being modelled or shown rather than actually being worn.
July 6, 2009 at 5:46 pm
There is so much to love about Bottega Veneta's show…the beautiful colours, impeccable tailoring that always exudes effortless elegance, love the rumpled 'worn in look' too, so inviting! xx
July 6, 2009 at 5:52 pm
The clothes were pretty awesome!
July 6, 2009 at 5:55 pm
yes, that saturated colour section was trememndous!
July 6, 2009 at 5:56 pm
Beautiful shots and clothes, but what is with the short pants?
July 6, 2009 at 6:00 pm

Unbelievable colors!First picture is absolutely spectacular. Thank you.
July 6, 2009 at 6:21 pm
I totally feel you on this one!
Check out the looks I loved on my blog:
July 6, 2009 at 6:27 pm
Wow. I always think the Bottega shows both the men's and women's are some of the best of the season – any season. Tomas Maier is a design master. We are lucky to have him and we are lucky to have you to present the work in such a clear way. I think just these 2 images you present say so much about how men can dress in a modern, sexy way. I love it!
July 6, 2009 at 6:29 pm
Like Soren, I love to see clothes worn on the street. It will be interesting to see how some of these pieces look when they appear in NY and Paris and (?) Stockholm. M. Sart, good luck finding them for us!That's what keeps me looking at this blog on a daily basis. Loved that off-white dress in Paris the other day!!
July 6, 2009 at 6:47 pm
Love the red.
July 6, 2009 at 7:19 pm
i think the inspiration for the hair came from robert pattinson! lol…jk.
July 6, 2009 at 7:43 pm
I agree, I think Bottega Veneta was one of the best. The colors and patterns are amazing like similar designers who caught my eye like Etro, Comme Des Garcons and Dries van Noten.
July 6, 2009 at 7:44 pm
just how do you take such amazingly clear shots under those lighting? i tried but failed terribly.
and wanted to drop a note to say hi, i met you outside the versace show, and asked if you're coming to london for the book launch.
love your blog!
Roth and Ko.
July 6, 2009 at 8:00 pm
I love the nearly monochromatic red looks in the first pic. Vaguely Mephistophelean…
The devil wears Bottega Veneta.
July 6, 2009 at 8:02 pm
are there any more pictures from the bottega veneta show? great work.
July 6, 2009 at 8:24 pm
Love both extremes, the bold deep, saturated colour and the neutrals, with subtle layering of tone, pattern and texture. Indeed, this collection seems very wearable. I love it…a lot.
July 6, 2009 at 8:25 pm
Everyone should wear such vivid colors!
I am in love with everything in these two pics.
The red and magenta is to die for. I hope this does not come across as politically incorrect or insensitive, BUT I hope bright colors are accepted by guys, no matter what their orientation. It's across the board sexy!
The peaked shoulder pads on the red jacket is sweet!
The earth tones in the second pic are fabulous too. The print jacket I hope starts a trend. The cut and texture of the suit in the back is hot — in a good way!
July 6, 2009 at 8:35 pm
L-O-V-E the color, but I think the murse is a little freaky!
July 6, 2009 at 8:45 pm
the hair is very robert pattison-esque.
July 6, 2009 at 9:01 pm
The hair is perfect perfect perfect. Retro and modern.
July 6, 2009 at 9:04 pm

Fabulous!!!!! I love all the colors, the hair!!!!!!! amazing, Bottega Veneta is the best!!!!!
July 6, 2009 at 9:43 pm
man in red = morrissey.
July 6, 2009 at 9:54 pm
Bottega Veneta was definetly the best. Those bomber length fatigue jackets were killin me!!
July 6, 2009 at 9:55 pm
As an avid photographer and model, also fashionisto, I love your blog. And I have to say Bottega Veneta was the best I saw of Spring 2010. The muted tones accented with that splash of color from a scarf or accessory, leading into the beautiful rich red tones; not to leave out the freshness of the models and the throw back to early 90's River Phoenix'esk hair; the entire collection was sophisticated but simple and held it's own. 100% agree. Moschino was a close second, and Roberto Cavalli was also exciting.
Thank you for the great post and fashion.
July 6, 2009 at 9:57 pm
Yeah, if you can get over the disastrous hair, then you see the clothes are really on point. Superb. Loving the strong shoulders and nonchalant glamour in that geranium suit.
July 6, 2009 at 10:02 pm
That hair is coming in strong, I sees it everywhere!

Is it Morrisey or Kramer?
July 6, 2009 at 11:10 pm
I really like the second picture that shows the more neutral colors. I really love the green and I especially like the suit in the back!
July 6, 2009 at 11:14 pm

I just love those reds. They are so beautiful. Men, wear red!
July 7, 2009 at 1:51 am
Best shoulders this season.
July 7, 2009 at 2:42 am
I agree that Botega along with Gucci & Versace were the best shows in Milan, the others weren't as good (they had only 1 or 2 good pieces. Great photos as always!
July 7, 2009 at 2:44 am
I agree, the colours are really great. I love your blog, it's always very interesting!
July 7, 2009 at 2:51 am
You are right, Bottega Veneta was one of the best shows. I personnally liked also very much ZZegna, as it was at the same time luxury and daring, and a very strong statement for the brand. What did you think?
July 7, 2009 at 3:25 am
Very good. I don't often wear red (not nearly enough), but I could wear those.
But those lower pants have wrinkles in them. Surely that isn't intentional? Very slack.
July 7, 2009 at 3:29 am
If I was a guy I would wear this
July 7, 2009 at 3:36 am
Red jacket…….je trouve ca vraiment chic
par contre everything in red
it's a bit too much no?
thimbles and gingham
July 7, 2009 at 4:12 am
that suit worn by the 3rd model in the 2nd picture is amazing.

July 7, 2009 at 7:15 am
The 2nd look in the 1st picture is amazing! I sometimes wish Iwas a man. :P
July 7, 2009 at 7:25 am
I love the red and pink together..and the textured jacket with the floral print in the last pic is divine.
July 7, 2009 at 7:42 am
Tomas Maier is a great designer for women and for men.
July 7, 2009 at 8:15 am
I couldn't agree more ♥
July 7, 2009 at 8:27 am

July 7, 2009 at 11:26 am
Is the green jacket in the second photo the same as worn by Ryan Reynolds in the film "The Proposal?" k8b8
July 7, 2009 at 11:44 am
I'm really digging this show as well. I think you are right.
July 7, 2009 at 12:01 pm
LIKE IT !
July 7, 2009 at 12:30 pm
I think Bottega and Junya Watanabe tied for first…
July 7, 2009 at 2:40 pm
Absolutely loving that combination in the foreground of the first picture.
July 7, 2009 at 2:46 pm
all morrissey. ha ha ha.brilliant.
July 7, 2009 at 3:11 pm
Men in red – we can only hope, here in America.
Men in rumpled clothes – what's new about that?
July 7, 2009 at 4:08 pm
Tomas Maier is incredible! With the exception of last summer (I think it was, when he had those quite awful baggy pants that looked a little like overalls), he brings it home season after season! This season was no exception; my favourite men's designer working right now and has been for many years.
July 7, 2009 at 4:32 pm
great! i love bottega veneta (and the sartorialist :P)kisses!
July 7, 2009 at 6:47 pm
Bottega just gets better and better. Tomas Maier is amazing.
July 7, 2009 at 7:02 pm
I agree 100%. Best show in Milan.
July 7, 2009 at 9:02 pm
In 1 word: awesome.Loved almost every outfit of this collection, the earth hues, prints and patterns.
Agreed with Energie, the SS09 collection was a complete failure, I ended detesting all those baggy pants.

Oh, YES, yesy, yes… a thousand times yes! Tomas Maier nearly systmeatically manages to come up with quietly but surely luxurious collections for both men and women.I'm totally crazy about his understated take on casual glamour!
July 8, 2009 at 2:10 pm
these knittered pants are gorgeous.I want all men with such long and skinny legs to wear them.
July 8, 2009 at 4:50 pm
I was so surprised to find adoration for this most disappointing Maier show in years. Sorry to say, but it looks like deparment store, not design. Take a good look at that plain suit and baggy sweaters, not to mention the Abercrombie inspired cadet with the blue purse.
I've got multiple BV wide-legged pants from prior seasons – they look sensational and leave no doubt that I didn't buy them at a mass merchandizing outlet where I can find lots of baggy sweaters and tight profile pants, but from gifted, inspired designer.
July 8, 2009 at 4:55 pm
too right, a personal shopping preview – how divine. love the hair, very robert pattinson, yes? H.
July 8, 2009 at 7:36 pm
bottega, then hermes, then vuitton for sheer desire/wearability.
yasuhiro, owens, julius for sheer desire/internal conflict.
the eye needs to be pleased, then trained.

J'adore Bottega Veneta et j'aime votre blog beaucoup trop. Je me sens folle, car je me trouve les yeux collées à l'écran!
September 14, 2009 at 4:34 am
on the bottom picture the back model with the suit, i love that the buttons and button holes continue up on either side of the lapels. the use of a pocket square in the bottom pocket is something i like and haven't seen. the pattern of the suit is also fantastic.
